Abstract

The transformation of Islamic religious education can start from the thoughts of Muslim figures related to issues faced in Islamic religious education that are challenged by the times. The purpose of this study is to explore how the thoughts of contemporary Muslim figures are relevant to the needs of Islamic religious education. This research method uses a case study of two figures, namely Muhammad Iqbal and KH. Ahmad Dahlan. The data collection technique involves books, articles, journals, and relevant documents, while the analysis technique employs interpretation and comparison. The results of this study indicate that the thoughts of contemporary Islamic religious education, pioneered by Muhammad Iqbal and KH. Ahmad Dahlan, provide distinct characteristics in improving Islamic religious education itself, encompassing management, institutions, systems, and teaching. The two figures contribute significantly to how Islamic religious education can advance, namely by implementing an integrated education system that spans the paradigm, curriculum development, materials, teaching techniques, and mapping of graduate competencies that do not only focus on cognitive aspects but also on spiritual, social, skills, and technology. To bridge the thoughts of these two figures, a model of Islamic religious education thinking was developed based on a multi-transdisciplinary approach, which unites religious and scientific elements in education and learning in madrasas and Islamic boarding schools, focusing on religious, philosophical, and scientific competencies grounded in a strong social attitude.

Abstract

The global halal industry is undergoing a significant transformation as Muslim and non-Muslim consumer preferences increase, strengthening the position of halal products as a strategy in the economic diplomacy of Muslim countries. This study examines the dynamics of the global halal industry focusing on the integration of Islamic values, sustainability, and technology. This research employs a qualitative method by utilizing a literature review as the basis for analyzing existing data. The concept of halalan thayyiban is positioned as a new standard that is more holistic than the conventional legal-formal approach, encompassing social justice, ecological balance, and community welfare. Furthermore, the concept of a Green Halal Economy is introduced as a synergy between Sharia principles, the green economy, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), supported by case studies from several countries. This study also discusses the urgency of digitalizing the halal system through technologies such as blockchain, AI, and IoT, while identifying policy gaps that hinder such integration. Recommendations are proposed for the reformulation of inclusive halal policies, adaptive to digitalization, and based on Islamic ecological values through cross-country and institutional collaboration. This study provides a conceptual contribution to the development of a sustainable and inclusive future halal ecosystem globally.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of supply chain management (SCM) in the distribution of halal products in Indonesia through a literature review based on the Halal Supply Chain and SCOR models. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, it examines the application of traceability, segregation, and halal certification across all stages of the supply chain. Although Law No. 33 of 2014 has been implemented, challenges remain in logistics infrastructure, industry awareness, and certification costs, especially for SMEs. The SCOR Model highlights the importance of planning, risk management, and the use of technologies such as blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT). A comparison with Malaysia indicates the need to strengthen infrastructure, regulations, and technology to improve the effectiveness of halal product distribution in Indonesia.

Abstract

Inheritance grants can be used to resolve issues that are not specifically regulated in faraid law or to provide better justice according to individual needs. In some communities, a lack of understanding of the concept of grants and the sharia provisions governing the provision of grants can be an obstacle. Likewise, the implementation of inheritance grants in Bobotsari District has drawn pro and contra. The method of writing this article uses an empirical-normative approach. The nature of this article's research is qualitative. Data is presented using a descriptive-analytical method. Data collection techniques used in this article are using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in writing this article uses inductive-deductive (effect-cause). The implementation of inheritance grants that occurred in Bobotsari District began with the grantor or heir gathering all members of the nuclear family, consisting of husband or wife and children for a consensus. The process of distributing inheritance grants must fulfill the elements of justice and agreement of the grantees or heirs. The pattern of distribution of inheritance grant assets includes; 1) divided equally; 2) divided based on the closeness of the grantor to the recipient; 3) divided based on the layout of the gift assets. In the view of Islamic inheritance law, this practice applies the concept of takharruj or removing or resigning as an heir.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum is a process of applying learning that focuses on flexibility in learning, and the active role of students as the center of learning activities, by integrating Islamic values, character building, and competencies comprehensively, by the principles of the Pancasila Student Profile. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in fikih education at the State Senior High School in Purbalingga, as well as to identify various challenges and strategies employed by teachers in adapting to the new learning approach. The research method used is qualitative, utilizing data collection techniques that include interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Data validity was tested using triangulation techniques. Based on the research results, it was found that the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in fikih education has driven a shift in teaching approaches toward a more student-centered approach, with a focus on character development, understanding of material relevant to daily life, and increased active student participation in learning. However, limitations in resources and teachers' knowledge of the essence of the independent curriculum remain the main challenges. Therefore, ongoing training and strengthening the role of teachers as facilitators in adaptive and transformative fikih learning are necessary.

Abstract

Public relations (PR) serves as an essential medium for shaping positive public opinion and increasing public trust in institutions, including Islamic educational institutions. In this context, PR acts as a bridge between the institution and the public to foster mutual understanding, trust, and a positive image. Effective PR management supports the smooth implementation of the learning process and the improvement of educational quality by establishing harmonious two-way communication between the institution and the community. This study employs a qualitative approach using interviews and literature review methods to obtain relevant and in-depth data. The findings indicate that PR plays a strategic role in maintaining the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions, particularly in communicating the institution's vision and mission, building synergy with the community, and managing institutional image professionally. In conclusion, well-planned and continuous PR management is a crucial factor in supporting the sustainability and development of Islamic educational institutions amid ongoing social dynamics.
