Abstract

This study aims to determine social media influencers, which in this case is measured based on attractiveness (social and physical) to parasocial interaction, as well as the effect of Parasocial Interaction on the value perception of luxury goods (social, personal, and conspicuous) on social media. This research is also conducted to determine whether value perception and parasocial interaction can influence purchase intention. In addition, this research will focus on one product, namely luxury bags. To achieve the research objectives and test the research model, a database-based questionnaire was developed and distributed to 350 respondents in Indonesia through an online platform. This research utilizes the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method. The results of this study indicate that the attractiveness of Social Media Influencers has an influence on Parasocial Interaction, besides that Parasocial Interaction can build Luxury Brand Value Perception. This study also shows that Value Perception affects on Purchase Intention. Meanwhile, Parasocial Interaction have no significant effect on Purchase Intention. The findings of this study have important implications for marketers and influencer in designing more effective marketing strategies to increase the value perception and purchase intention of consumers towards luxury bags.

Abstract

A report from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries explains that Indonesia's total fishery exports in September 2023 will reach US$ 4.1 billion (Rp. 64.1 trillion). This figure is still far from the target to be achieved, namely US$ 7.8 billion in 2023. The aim of this research is to accelerate the development of the National Fisheries Industry which is at the forefront. Take the example of the fisheries supply chain in Cilacap Regency which is the largest producer of caught fish on the island of Java. By using the Soft System Research Methodology (SSM), the efforts made are to outline solutions to unstructured problems, understand the actual problem situation and take action to improve it. From the survey results, there are six problems in the supply chain of capture fisheries industry activities in Cilacap Regency, namely lack of facilities and infrastructure, lack of understanding and knowledge of fishermen, limited capital for capture fisheries businesses, excessive fishing, fishing community culture and weak supervision/law. Meanwhile, the research results show that in an ideal marine fisheries industry supply chain system, Cilacap Regency must carry out coordination and communication activities between caught fish supply chain actors, provide facilities and infrastructure, build logistics networks, standardize production, control storage methods, build systems monitoring, quality assurance of fisheries, and building a capture fisheries trading system. The implications include providing education to fishermen regarding marketing, collecting information about consumers and their needs, developing and developing fishermen's competence, government supervision, building local fishermen's cooperatives and maintaining traditional values.

Abstract

The existence of innovation involving the adoption of technology in banking has boosted financial performance, where banks get sizable benefits. The use of technology in financial services or known as fintech not only produces new products and models in financial services, but has created solutions. This research is a quantitative research with secondary data sourced from the Financial Services Authority and Bank Indonesia from April 2020 to April 2023. The object of this research is all banks in Indonesia whose data has been aggregated. The variables used in the research are fintech as the independent variable, and banking profitability as the dependent variable, then adding banking fundamentals as a control variable . Meanwhile the analysis technique to be used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Fintech can optimize its role in supervising customers which can have an impact on minimizing non-performing loans so that it can increase profitability. The next thing is that even though costs increase it can actually increase profitability. The role of fintech in this case is that although the adoption of fintech will increase costs, profitability will also increase. The level of financing represented by LDR can be maximized in percentage in order to increase profitability.
