Abstract

In the current technological advancements that have developed rapidly in the automotive industry, especially in motorcycle products where many users want the best performance on their vehicles. Where is the fact motorized motorists tend to want optimal engine power compared to fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions. This can be seen from the number of engine power enhancing products compared to exhaust emission reducing products and fuel saver. So one way to improve engine performance is to manipulate the O2 sensor voltage to change the air flow ratio (AFR) ratio. This study aims to determine the effect of manipulation of the O2 sensor output voltage on torque (T) and power (P). Tests carried out using a dynojet engine, in the testing phase using a manipulator that has 4 types, the large independent variable type consists of 0.5 Ohm, 1 Ohm, 1.5 Ohm and 2 Ohm. From the test results obtained show that by manipulating the output voltage of the O2 sensor using the O2 sensor manipulator can raise the machine's performance. The torque obtained in testing has increased by 53.8% in manipulator type 3, for power has increased by 33.3%.

Abstract

Organic fertilizers are environmentally friendly fertilizers made from natural ingredients so that the use of organic fertilizers does not pollute the environment and damage the soil. Oil Palm Empty Bunches (TKKS) is one of the wastes from palm oil processing which can be used as solid organic fertilizer. At present, the potential for utilizing TKKS as a raw material for making organic fertilizers is very large. This study aims to determine the technique of making organic fertilizers with basic ingredients of TKKS fi bers and earthworms (Lumbricus rubellus), and find out the nutrient content contained in them. This research was carried out by an experimental method on an organic fertilizer maker or unit. Based on the results of the study, solid organic fertilizers can be made with basic TKKS ingredients and the decomposition process using earthworms (Lumbricus rubellus). In 100 grams of solid organic fertilizer produced containing nutrients namely Na dd (cmol/kg) (0.44), Total N (0.24%), P Total (mg P2O5/100g) (133.54%), Total K (mg K2O/100 g) (147.92), Mg (0.01), Za (55.62) and Fe (44.117).

Abstract

This research is a real-time measurement system design by utilizing an ultrasonic sensor that is connected to the Arduino Uno microcontroller. Testing is done by testing the performance of claybath miniature, which will separate the kernel and shell material using a suspension of calcium carbonate. Data obtained from sensor that have been previously calibrated will be analyzed, ie by comparing reference data obtained from measurement manually using a hydrometer. The result showed that the ultrasonic sensor and Arduino Uno microcontroller can be used as a specific gravity reading sensor that works in real time. The accuracy of sensor reading is 99.4% in the measurement range 1,010 - 1,120 kg/liter, with an average difference of 0.006 kg/liter.

Abstract

Palm oil shell biomass has the potential to be converted into bio oil, based on its content such as lignocellulose content (lignin, hemicellulose and cellulose). To get this bio oil product can be done through the pyrolysis process, using a temperature of 150°C with a sampling time span of 20 minutes, 30 minutes and 40 minutes. The experimental result showed that the characteristic of bio oil in a 20 minutes sample had better quality result, ie with an average density value of 1.0286 (gr/ml), pH 3.03, and blackish brown color.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the level of significance of the influence of the presence of students in attending lectures on the test result. The research method used is descriptive quantitative by calculating the correlation between the two variables. Whereas data processing is quantitative by using statistical analysis. The sample used was the Standard Operating Procedure Logistics course, which was attended by 117 students in Logistics Management Department class of 2017 and 2018. The result showed that the presence of students in attending lectures (absenteeism) had a strong influence on test score (positive correlation). While the value of exam result is influenced by attendance by 33.28% and 66.72% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The performance of palm oil mill (POM) can be seen from several indicators, such as oil extraction rate (OER), kernel extraction rate (KER), throughput, oil losses and kernel losses. The achievement of these indicators may be related to the processing time of the POM. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the processing time on the performance of POM, especially OER, KER, throughput, oil losses and kernel losses. The method used is correlation analysis, which is a statistical analysis to see the relationship between two variables, ie the processing time variable with each of these performance variables. The result of the analysis show that the processing time have a weak and negative relationship to OER, KER and oil losses, weak and positive to kernel losses, and strong and negative to throughput. The increase in processing time had a bad impact on the four indicators, ie OER, KER, throughput and kernel losses, but had a good impact on oil losses.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the percentage of waste carried using a fruit basket and jerigen, and get a comparison of work performance using jerigen and brondolan basket containers. The study was conducted at PT Wahana Plantation and Product located in Sona Village, Gandis District, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan on March 29 to April 6 2019. This research used the direct application method and field observations. The results showed that the percentage of waste in fruit basket containers was smaller (4.8%) than jerigen (6.3%). Work performance obtained from the fruit basket container was higher (0.93 hk/ha) compared to jerigen (0.70 hk/ha).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the physical, chemical and biological properties of terra preta with biochar pyrolysis combustion systems. The addition of mycorrhizal fungi to enrich microorganism, which serves to increase nutrient absorption, increase plant resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, maintain growth and production stability. Making terra preta is done with used wood and animal bones are burned with a pyrolysis system for 7 hours at a temperature of 500oC then activated with H2SO4 2M and mixing empty bunch, livestock urine, goat manure, mycorrhizal fungus, water used for washing rice and allowed to stand for 1 month in a state of condition covered, then mixed with mineral soil and allowed to stand for one month, then observed the physical, chemical and biological characteristics. The result of terra preta soil analysis, ie the texture of sand soil 13%, 50% dust, clay 37%, pH 7.2, Organic C 5.71%, N total 0.43%, C/N ratio of 13, P is available 634 ppm, CEC 23.45 cmolc/kg, and 150 spore/gr mycorrhiza content.

Abstract

Turn over ratio (TOR) is the ratio between expenditure/usage/sales to inventory. The higher TOR means the faster inventory turnover, which also means that the utilization of investment is higher or more efficient. The lower TOR means that capital turnover or investment is slower and less efficient. The purpose of this research was to determine the performance of the inventory of production machinery spare parts in the warehouse through the inventory turnover ratio. This research uses quantitative analysis. There are 435 types of spare parts in the warehouse, but only 63 types were used during the observation period. The result showed that the performance of spare parts inventory had various inventory turn over ratio, which ranged from 0.01 – 48.00 times during the period January, 1st – June, 15th 2018 or ranged 0.03 – 100.70 cycle per year. While the storage time of spare parts inventory ranged 2.98 – 11.368.50 days.

Abstract

Systemic and contact herbicides have a difference in the time it takes to kill weeds. The objectives of this experiment were to know time of change and physic condition of Axonopus compressus after systemic and contact herbicides application. This research conducted at Teaching Farm 2 Politeknik Citra Widya Edukasi on November – December 2019. This research was arranged in a non factorial completely random design with two treatments, A1 (Systemic herbicide) and A2 (Contact herbicide). Systemic herbicide using Glifosat 1%, and contact using Paraquat dichlorida 1%. Each of treatments repeated three times, so that there were 6 experimental unit. The data was analysis of variance and LSD Test. The result of this research are application of systemic and contact herbicides siginifficanty affected to time of change and physic condition of Axonopus compressus. The fastest change time and highest physical condition score is in contact herbicide treatment, and significantly different with systemic herbicide. Systemic herbicides inhibit the growth of weeds by entering the tissues, whereas contact only affects the affected part.
