Abstract

Sugar cane plantations are often located on uplands with low irrigation water sources and get water sources from rainfall. Mycorrhiza increased water absorption and effective in dry land. This research aims to determine the best watering frequency and dose of mycorrhizae for sugarcane single bud seedlings. The research was conducted at Research Garden of KUD Ngajum located in Wonosari, Malang, East Java. The research was conducted in May to August 2013. The research method was used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was mycorrhizal dose consisting of 4 levels: without mycorrhiza (M0), 10 g /plant (M1), 30 g/plant (M2), 50 g/plant (M3). The second factor was the frequency of watering consists of 4 levels: once a day (F1), once every two days (F2), once every three days (F3), four days (F4). Application of mycorrhizae of 10 grams, 30 grams and 50 grams had the same effect on all parameters of sugarcane seedling growth except the number of tillers, leaf area and percentage of mycorrhizal infection. Frequency of watering every 2 days gives good results on the parameters of plant dry weight. The combination of 50 grams of mycorrhizal treatment with watering frequency once every 2 days gives a good effect on leaf area while the combination of treatment of 10 grams of mycorrhizae and watering once every 4 days and my dose of 30 grams of mycorrhizae with frequency of watering once every 3 days gives a good effect on the percentage of mycorrhizal infections.

Abstract

The existence of weeds in oil palm plantations is considered very detrimental and even has no benefit at all. However, it turns out that there are several weeds in oil palm plantations that can be used, one of which is a medicinal plant. Some of these weed species are considered by the plantation community as an alternative to making traditional medicines considering that the oil palm plantation areas are very far from pharmaceutical centers. This research was conducted at the oil palm plantation of PT Unggul Widya Teknolgi Lestari, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi, in March-June 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the types and methods of processing weeds as traditional medicines by the oil palm plantation community. The methods used in this research are field observations, in-depth interviews with key informants from community elements and oil palm plantation managers. Qualitative descriptive analysis is used to explain the results of surveys and interviews systematically which is strengthened by literature study. Based on the results of the study showed that in the oil palm plantation PT Unggul Widya Teknologi Lestari, there are 10 weed plants which are commonly used by plantation communities as traditional medicine. The processing method includes the boiling method and using it directly. The use of weed plants as traditional medicine also contributes to efforts to control weeds in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner in oil palm plantations.

Abstract

Research aims to understand large percentage kernels losses claybath, conform to established standards of pks rhs and the effectiveness of value specific gravity solution of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) as the process of separation kernels and shell .Research carried out by analyzing capacity bait in and analysis kernels losses after checking value specific gravity.The study was carried out with the methods study literature, deksriptif analysis and the reckoning analysis the quality of the nucleus palm . Methods used in data collection adhering to a standard operating procedures the sample collection output claybath and capacity bait claybath. Sample is taken directly, were analysed with the methods analysis core palm oil. Based on an analysis done, drawn conclusion solution CaCO3 having a level saturation, if bait entering claybath large, so solution CaCO3 will quickly saturated caused by oil contained in kernels, The effectiveness of value sg in solution claybath found in SG 1.16 with the kernel losses 1.97 % to sample or 0.02 % to FFB and kernel dirt content 6.91 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure the level of efficiency of the resources owned in an effort to generate sales based on the ratio of activities. The activity ratio is the ratio used to assess the company's ability to carry out its daily activities. The research was conducted at Koperasi Karyawan PT X - Bekasi. The sample used is balance sheet data from 2016 to 2019. Measurement of activity ratios uses five parameters, ie: accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover, working capital turnover, fixed asset turnover and total asset turnover. The result of reserach is that based on the data for the last four years, the average turnover of accounts receivable for 38.1 days is classified as less effective, the average inventory turnover for 12.32 days is classified as effective, the average turnover of working capital is 7 times as ineffective, the average fixed asset turnover was 111.2 times which was classified as effective and the average total asset turnover was 0.23 times which was classified as less effective.

Abstract

The Auxiliary Power Unit on Airbus aircraft will keep the aircraft comfortable both in the air and on the ground, so customers feel happy. High oil temperature at the Auxiliary Power Unit is a loss and will be dangerous if repair is not done immediately. The contributing factors are: 1) Blockage in the air intake duct or inlate duck; 2) blockages in the ducting oil cooler, ECB electronic control box (59KD), oil temperature sensor (8092KM), oil cooler (8079KM), cooling fan assembly (8053KM) and APU generator (8XS); and 3) oil quality degradation. Preventive maintenance methods that can be carried out so that high oil temperatures do not occur in the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), such as: 1) always maintaining the quantity and quality of the APU oil, namely by always checking the oil on time and according to the checking schedule; 2) change the APU oil filter according to schedule; and 3) always keep the APU cooling ducts / ducts clean from dust or other contamination, so that the APU oil cooling system can maintain the APU oil temperature always below 162.780C (3250F).

Abstract

The problem that often occur in the inbound process in the warehouse are process of unloading and late document making process and error in the process of inputting data in a computerized system. This ptoblem cannot be solved carefully is the root cause is not analyzed. The purpose of this research is to find out the deviations that occur in the inbound process, the root cause of the problem and solution. This research was conducted on February 22nd, 2018 – May 22nd, 2018 at a logistic company in Bekasi. Data analysis was processed by Deming’s View Process System concept, the 5W + 1H principle and the Five Whys Analysis. The result show that the root causes of problem are: 1) the supervisor and the assistant manager less supervision on the workers in the inbound section; 2) the supplier does not check the document when it will deliver the cargo; and 3) the workers have never been rewarded for their work. The solution is: 1) the supervisor and the assistant manager must supervise the workers in inbound section continuously; 2) the supplier must check the cargo and documents before being delivered the warehouse; and 3) the company must give a reward to the worker’s performance.

Abstract

Lignocellulosic materials such as oil palm male flowers can be used as an alternative renewable energy source that is environmentally friendly. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of oil palm male flowers post anthesis as an alternative raw material for bioethanol using immobilization techniques, determine the best of Saccharomyces cerevisiae dose and fermentation time for ethanol produced and the interactions that occur between the two. This research was conducted at Laboratory of Chemistry Politeknik Kelapa Sawit Citra Widya Edukasi and Laboratory of Biochemistry Institut Pertanian Bogor in April – November 2019. This study used a two factors completely randomized design method. First factor were the dosage of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as much as 25 ml and 50 ml, second factor were the time of fermentation: 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 days. Each treatments were three replications. The total unit of experiments were 30 unit. Data were analized with analysis of variance with α 5 %, if there was a significant treatment effect, the further analysis using LSD (Least Significant Differences). The results showed that oil palm male flowers post anthesis had the potential to be used as bioethanol with immobilization techniques. The treatment of fermentation time had a significant effect on the ethanol content of oil palm male flowers. However, the dose of Saccharomyces cerevisiae did not significant effect. The best fermentation time was 6 days (17.39%) and there was no interaction between the dose of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and fermentation times to the ethanol content produced.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of leadership and motivation on the performance of administrative employees at PT Ketapang Subur Lestari, Field Karusen. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and uses the SPSS version 15 for windows software program. The result of data analysis show that the regression equation obtained is Y = 16.535 - 1.455X1 + 3.566X2. Hypothesis test result show that leadership has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, while motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The simultaneous test result show that all independent variables have a significant effect on employee performance. The influence of the independent variables (leadership and motivation) on the dependent variable (employee performance) is 71.9%; and 28.1% influenced by other variables outside the variables studied.

Abstract

Organic fertilizer in the form of fermented cow urine has a high nutrient content and the presence of mycorrhizal fungi can increase root capacity in the absorption of nutrients needed for plant growth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of a combination of cow bio-urine application and mycorrhizal fungi at different doses on the morphology and physiology of oil palm plants in the initial breeding. This research was conducted for 6 months by using a two-factor Complete Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is the application of three doses of mycorrhizal fungi, namely: CMA0 (red yellow subsoil podsolic 100%), CMA1 (10 g mycorrhizal fungus), CMA2 (20 g of mycorrhizal fungi); and the second factor is the application of three doses of cow biourine, namely: BU00 (red yellow podsolic subsoil 100%), BU01 (20% cow urine), BU02 (30% cow urine). The results showed that there was a real interaction between the administration of mycorrhizal fungi and bio urine of cow on the stem diameter of 3 BST and 4 BST. At the end of the observation (4 BST), the response of oil palm seedlings to the parameters of seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area, leaf greenness, seedling biomass, seed root canopy ratio, showed a tendency of higher values ​​in the application of 10 gram mycorrhizal fungi. cow urine 20% compared to other treatments and controls.

Abstract

Oryctes rhinoceros or horn beetle is one of the important pests of oil palm plants. These pests can cause very serious losses for palm oil production, so that proper control is needed so that pest attacks can be suppressed. This research aims to determine the concentration of Metarhizium anisopliae which is the most effective in controlling Oryctes rhinoceros larvae and understanding the difference between infected Oryctes rhinoceros and those not infected by Metarhizium anisopliae fungi. This research was conducted at Afdeling Charlie, Estate Berlian 1, PT Palmina Utama in Desa Cinta Puri Darussalam Village, Banjar District, Banjarmasin Regency, South Kalimantan Selatan in 3-30 Mei 2018. The experiment was used a descriptive method with 4 treatments: control (A0), 1 gr Metarhizium anisopliae / l water (A1), 2 gr Metarhizium anisopliae / l water (A2), 3 gr Metarhizium anisopliae / l water (A3). Each treatments were two replications so the total unit of experiments were 8 samples. The result showed that the highest mortality consentration of Oryctes rhinoceros larvae found in the treatment of 3 grams of Metarhizium anisopliae / l water (A3) of 47.50%. Oryctes rhinoceros larvae infected by Metarhizium anisopliae showed different conditions than the larvae of Oryctes rhinoceros which were not infected by Metarhizium anisopliae.
