Abstract

Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Tebo regency as a result of regional expansion shows an increase in every year, but developments in the economy show otherwise. Regional Original Income (PAD) in the districtresulting from the division shows a decline in every year. In 1999 the expansion of Bungo -Tebo regency. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of the regional expansion in economy of Tebo regency before the divisionin 1998, in 2005 after the expansion and the expansion continues. The data that was used in this research is secondary data that consist of data from 1998, 2005, 2020 that obtained from the Central Statistic Agency (BPS)of Tebo regency. The analysis that was used is growth rate of Regional Original Income (PAD) and the growth rate of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). From the growth rate of GRDP, it experienced growth in 2005after the regional expansion and the growth rate of PAD has not experienced growth after the regional

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether students are aware of various cultural or traditional problems that occur in Madura and are passed down and become knowledge for junior high school students in Sumenep Regency. This research is descriptive, in this case direct observation to four schools in Sumenep Regency and conducting surveys and questionnaires on students' knowledge of Madura's traditions and culture which are still maintained in Era Society 5.0. The contribution of this research is to find out how much knowledge of junior high school students on traditions and culture that is still maintained by junior high school students in four places in Sumenep Regency contained in social studies learning, so that people can understand knowledge about Madura culture and traditions that are still maintained and not eroded by the times. Which continues to develop along with technological advances that make communication between students and the community continues to grow rapidly in the Society 5.0 era. In social studies learning that will be studied also makes surveys in maintaining traditions and culture that have been continuously maintained from generation to generation and continue until now.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit all corners of the world, Indonesia is one of the Asian countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in various fields, one of which is the world of education. The education policy set by the government does not only have an impact on students but also has an impact on educators. During the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities, the Minister of Education allows face-to-face teaching and learning activities for areas where PPKM level 1 – 3. See and describe the effectiveness and risks in changing mixed learning patterns carried out by educators and students. This study uses a qualitative method using literature study, interviews and observations as data collection techniques, the informants in this study were students and teachers of SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. Action Rationality Theory which was initiated by Max Weber as a reference for analysis in this study. The assumption in the study refers to the policy of SMA Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya in making decisions. Teaching and learning activities are carried out in a hybrid (mixed) manner, so offline and online learning are solutions and adaptations of new policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the direct instruction (DI) approach to improve the knowledge and skill of classroom teachers at SDN-5 Panarung and SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Kota Palangkaraya in implementing humanist literacy education in the integrated thematic learning at the two primary schools. Ten classroom teachers at SDN-5 Panarung and SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut taken as the sample by using purposive sampling technique from the total population. This study used a quantitative method with an experimental design model of one group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study found the average grade of the Teachers ability only 61 in the pretest evaluation, then it increased to 78.5 in the posttest. Both values were statistically analyzed using t-test calculation, where the result showed t-count (2.800) is greater than t-table (1.833). Thus, it can be concluded that the DI approach is effective in increasing the knowledge and skill of classroom teachers at SDN-5 Panarung and SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut Kota Palangkaraya by implementing humanist literacy education within the integrated thematic learning at both primary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to know at a glance about the Indian community in Medan. This type of research is qualitative research. The research location in Medan city is mainly Madras Hulu area. Method of data collection is done through interviews, observation, literature studies and using a list of questions. Indonesian Ethnic Indian community who since birth has been in Medan city because it has interacted, and mingled with other citizens, the results of a brief study of ethnic Indian communities in Medan related to language, religion, occupation, and culture. For ethnic Indians who have been in Medan since birth, they use Bahasa Indonesia every day even they can not use Indian. The work that some ethnic Tamil Indians have is rough work like parking attendants and so on. In general, religions embraced by ethnic Indians in Medan are Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. The results of the interview of the three informants showed that although they were born in Medan, they still hold Indian Culture

Abstract

Learning media is an innovation that will continue to develop in the world of education. It is related to art learning, namely the development of learning media using the tiktok application. This application is an innovation created for the sake of expression, but in the context of tik tok learning it can be used as a digital space to take advantage of technological developments and make students in the program study SENDRATASIK, Universitas Palangka Raya, able to access freely. The method used in this study, in the form of a qualitative description. Learning activities using the tiktok application are applied to dual-dimensional design courses, in this lecture activity they recognize various kinds of visual elements, so that they are loaded in a video that has a short duration, emphasizing in the form of an explanation that will be understood audio-visually, by utilizing editing skills. On each video content that will be a learning medium. In the development of this media technology, it can help students learn independently by playing tiktok applications and watching videos, and the learning process can be monitored by educators as long as students use tiktok social media.

Abstract

This research uses qualitative research. This qualitative research is descriptive in nature using observational analysis and interviews so that it becomes an easy-to-understand research. The learning process at SMP Negeri 2 Kampung Rakyat in this study uses an online learning process or referred to as distance learning (from home) which is guided by parents and teachers at school. Students do online learning and interact with teachers using several applications such as Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom, Whatsapp Group, and Google Form. This study aims to determine the lack of interest in student learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at SMP Negeri 2 Kampung Rakyat. The object of this research is two students from the school. The results of this study indicate that the online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic at the SMP Negeri 2 Kampung Rakyat school greatly affected students' interest in learning, so that students felt bored and unmotivated because they did not meet their friends and teachers directly.

Abstract

This study aims to recognize the effectiveness of the game Quizizz implementation in the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Public Service Management course at the National College of Administrative Sciences, Indonesia. Mixed-method research was employed in collecting the data from students during one semester of the teaching-learning period. Quantitative data were acquired from the results of the “Quizizz”-based assessment (midterm-test) and the final assessment which were analyzed using a t-test. Other quantitative data sourced were derived from questionnaires. These data analyzed students' thoughts and experiences of the advantage of the two applications "Quizizz" and "Padlet". For qualitative data, the data were obtained from the results of interviews with several students at the end of the semester. The results of the study indicated that the employment of the "Quizizz" game quiz application has a positive impact on student motivation and learning achievement in online classes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Teaching and learning activities become more interactive, innovative, fun, and not rigid and/or boring. Students in the class not only listen to lecturers' talks through the Zoom application but also interact with both lecturers and fellow students through the game activities. The employment of Quizizz game-based assessments could help instructors designed engaging content and entertained students in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to analyze the development of 4Cs skills in social studies learning in elementary schools in terms of socio-cultural change. The method of writing articles used is literature study or literature review using secondary data sources collected through textbooks, e-books, scientific journals, and so on. Testing the validity of the data using stages consisting of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of writing this article explain that. The development of 4Cs skills in elementary social studies material socio-cultural change can be done with various strategies, models, and methods that are relevant to the development of 4Cs skills. This using Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Cooperative Learning, interview methods, and various other learning strategies. Problem Based Learning (PBL) strategies can be used to develop skills in critical thinking processes and problem-solving, Project Based Learning (PjBL) can be used to develop student's skills to create and innovate, interview methods can be used to develop student's communication skills and the whole of these strategies can also be used in developing students collaboration skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the constructivism approach in training to the implementation of the language learning strategy for teachers of Dayak Ngaju language at SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut and SDN-5 Panarung, Kota Palangkaraya. Six teachers from SD Muhammadiyah Pahandut and SDN-5 Panarung were selected as the sample by using purposive sampling technique from the total population. This study used a quantitative method with an experimental design model of one group pretest-posttest design. From the result of the data analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test, it can be concluded that the constructivism approach is effectively used in training the teachers by the implementation of the language learning strategy in teaching Dayak Ngaju language subject in both primary schools. This is depicted by the teachers’ attainment on the pretest score was 62.5 and the attainment in the posttest reached 81.6 where the significance test result in the statistical analysis shows the Sig.value of p < 0.05 so that Ho is rejected.
