Abstract

Small and medium-sized industries (SMIs) typically have difficulty adapting technology to digital marketing changes due to limited resources. The study explains the ability of SMI to transform marketing into digital business processes. The study is quantitative, and the data was analysed with SmartPLS using a sample of 180 SMI entrepreneurs in Bali. It has been found that internal and external factors significantly influence digitisation, and digitalisation significantly influences changes in digital marketing. Internal factors are the best predictors of digitisation and are the basis of digitalisation and digital marketing transformation. Average online sales for SMI devices are higher than usual. SMI entrepreneurs are advised to adopt strategies that increase the capacity of their internal resources to embrace the evolution of digital technology because internal resources are the leading force in adopting digital technology to transform marketing activities.

Abstract

This study investigates the extent to which financial literacy and access to financial services influence the performance and sustainability of MSMEs in Denpasar. The research involved 150 MSME operators using a bootstrapping approach and a 5 per cent significance level. The findings reveal that both financial literacy and financial inclusion positively impact financial performance. However, only financial inclusion shows a significant direct effect on business sustainability, while financial literacy does not. Financial performance serves as a mediating variable, particularly in linking financial literacy to MSME sustainability, indicating full mediation since the direct effect is not significant. In contrast, financial inclusion demonstrates partial mediation, with both direct and indirect effects being statistically significant. These results emphasize the importance of enhancing financial knowledge and expanding access to financial services, alongside strengthening financial performance, to support the long-term sustainability of MSMEsfinancial inclusion, and improving financial performance to strengthen MSME sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of digital fatigue, work-family conflict (WFC), and perceived role overload on career regression among banking employees, with burnout as a mediating factor. Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 384 banking employees in Palembang through structured questionnaires. The findings reveal that digital fatigue, WFC, and role overload significantly contribute to burnout, which mediates their impact on career regression. Grounded in the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Theory, the results demonstrate that excessive job demands heighten the risk of burnout when unbalanced by sufficient resources, ultimately hindering career development. The study underscores the importance of organisational efforts to minimise digital demands, promote work-life balance, and manage workloads to mitigate burnout. Limitations include reliance on self-reported data and a focus on the banking sector. Future research should explore broader populations and examine additional factors such as social support and coping strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of financial, accounting, and digital literacy, bookkeeping skills, and financial report comprehension on the performance and financial reporting quality of SMEs. Using a quantitative approach and data analysis with SmartPLS, this research involves 130 respondents from small and medium-sized handicraft businesses in Kuningan Regency, Cirebon Regency, Cirebon City, Majalengka Regency, and Indramayu Regency. The results show that financial literacy and bookkeeping skills positively and significantly affect SME performance while accounting and digital literacy have no significant effect. All independent variables, such as financial, accounting, and digital literacy, bookkeeping skills, and financial report comprehension, significantly influence financial reporting quality. These findings suggest the importance of improving financial literacy and bookkeeping skills to enhance SMEs' performance and financial reporting quality and recommend that SME operators continue to strengthen these competencies to support their business success.

Abstract

Global warming is a global issue, and electric vehicles provide an effective solution to help lower CO2 emissions. This study adopts and employs a descriptive quantitative approach to examine the factors influencing the purchase intention of electric motorcycles through the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) lens. Specifically, it investigates how perceived behavioral control and subjective norms affect purchase intention, with consumer attitudes mediating these effects. Using a purposive sample of 206 respondents, 202 of whom were valid participants currently using electric motorcycles, data were gathered through online surveys and analyzed with SmartPLS-SEM. Findings of this study resulted  that subjective  norms and perceived behavioral control significantly affect purchase intention, with attitude mediating between subjective norms and purchase intention. These insights offer valuable guidance for industry professionals, especially in promoting electric motorcycle adoption and fostering positive consumer attitudes.

Abstract

This study is using a combination of TAM and TPB to explore the intention to use QRIS electronic payments among SMEs in Malang. The sample was collected through a survey and a representative sample of 155 SMEs was obtained. This study used SEM-PLS to analyze the construct model. The results stated that perceived usefulness, subjective norms and digital literacy significantly affect the intention to be using QRIS electronic payments. The results also show that intention to use QRIS and digital literacy significantly affect digital transformation. Interestingly, perceived convenience has the opposite effect in this study. Other factors influencing the adoption of electronic payments by SMEs and their impact on digital transformation should be explored in the future. This study should help to understand and enrich the theoretical framework so that it can be applied to increase the use of digital payments QRIS and increase digital transformation in the SME sector.

Abstract

This study aims to find empirical evidence of a Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to enhance university performance with student loyalty as a mediating variable. This research employs a quantitative method, and data is collected through questionnaires distributed to 118 students at Indonesia Mandiri University. The data was analysed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings suggest that internal business processes and financial perspectives significantly affect higher education institutional performance. While student trust, learning and growth perspective and college student loyalty have insignificant effects on institutional performance. Student loyalty mediates the relationship between student trust and financial perspective on institutional performance. Student loyalty cannot mediate the relationship between internal business processes and learning and growth on institutional performance. Future studies should investigate student expectations of learning and teaching independently, perhaps from a qualitative perspective, and explore interventions to help manage these expectations when necessary.
