Abstract

This study is part of a broader (umbrella) research project conducted by three researchers, consisting of development, experimental, and descriptive studies. This tudy aims to describe the results of implementing a Quizizz-based Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) on the topic of arithmetic sequences and series in Grade X at Vocational High School State 1 Bulango Selatan. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method. The population consisted of all Grade X students of Vocational High School State 1 Bulango Selatan in the 2023/2024 academic year, comprising four classes with a total of 87 students. The sample was selected using Cluster Random Sampling through a lottery method among the four classes, and Class X ASKEP A was chosen as the sample. The findings indicate that the use of the Quizizz-based E-LKPD received a positive response from students. This is reflected in the student response questionnaire results, which reached 94.5%, indicating that most students felt assisted in understanding arithmetic sequences and series, and were more motivated and engaged during the mathematics learning process. Therefore, this media can serve as an innovative alternative for implementing digital-based learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of fraction boards as a visual aid to improve fourth-grade students' understanding of fractions. The research approach used was qualitative research with descriptive analysis, focusing on an in-depth description of the learning process and student responses to the use of fraction boards. Data collection techniques included observation, student questionnaires, and documentation to obtain comprehensive information regarding student interest, ease of understanding, and engagement during learning. The results showed that 75% of students strongly agreed that the fraction boards helped them understand fraction concepts, particularly numerators and denominators. Furthermore, 60–70% of students stated that learning became more engaging and enjoyable. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of fraction boards is highly effective in improving students' understanding of fraction concepts and is able to create a more engaging, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment. This media has proven to be a powerful alternative visual aid in mathematics learning, particularly for fourth-grade students on fractions.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the creative thinking ability of eighth-grade students in geometry material at Muhammadiyah Sempor Middle School. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The technique for selecting subjects uses a purposive method with two selected subjects. The data collection techniques employed are observation, tests , interviews, and field notes methods. The steps in data analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the findings of the research conducted on eighth-grade students at Muhammadiyah Sempor Middle School, it was concluded that the creative thinking ability demonstrated by students in solving geometry problems is still at a fairly creative level. This is because students are limited in answering questions in two ways ; they have not been patient in compiling answers in detail (writing knowns , asked questions, steps/stages, and final conclusions), leading them to focus immediately on working on mathematical models. Furthermore, students have not been able to solve problems in their own unique and unconventional ways, so they continue to use the methods provided by the teacher. Students also encounter obstacles, such as being inconsistent in writing units and mathematical symbols in the form of roots. Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive e-module on probability material for eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tilongkabila. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Plomp model, which includes preliminary investigation, design, product development, testing and revision, and limited implementation. The research subjects consisted of two material experts, one media expert, one mathematics teacher, and eighth-grade students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques.The results showed that the interactive e-module was categorized as very valid by material experts with a percentage of 98%, and valid by media experts with 81.54%. Teacher and student responses reached 89.17% and 87.78%, respectively, indicating very positive responses. Therefore, the interactive e-module on probability material is valid, practical, and suitable for use in mathematics learning for eighth-grade junior high school students..
