Abstract

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the giving candlenut oil (aleurites moluccanus) in commercial feed on feed conversion ratio and feed efficiency of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.). Thecompletely randomized design method was used in this study with four treatments and three replications. The treatments studied were pellet without the giving candlenut oil (P0), pellet with the giving candlenut oil 5%/kg of feed (P1), pellet with the giving candlenut oil 10%/kg of feed (P2) and pellet with the giving candlenut oil 15%/kg of feed (P3). Bileh fish seed stocking density was 1 individu/l with the length of  3,5-4 cm and weight of 0,61-0,86 g. The culture period of fish farming was 40 days. The ANOVA test showed that the commercial feed with the giving candlenut oil gave significant effect on feed conversion ratio, feed efficiency, specific growth rate of bileh fish (Rasbora sp.), but did not give significant effect on survival rate of bileh fish seed. The best dose to increase feed efficiency and low feed conversion ratio of bileh fish seed is pellet with the giving candlenut oil 15%/kg of feed (P3).

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of using maizena, tapioca and rice flour as carbon sources in the biofloc system for specific growth rate, survival rate, and feed conversion ratio of nile tilapia. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consisted of three treatments with three replications. Treatment A use maizena flour as carbon source much 2 grams / L of water, treatment B use white rice flour as carbon source much 2 grams / L of water, and treatment C use tapioca flour as carbon source much 2 grams / L of water. Starter bacteria use EM4 much 2 ml / L of water. Maintenance of nile tilapia is carried out for 28 days. The research variables are specific growth rate, survival rate, feed conversion ratio and water quality parameters. The results showed that the use of maizena, tapioca and rice flour as carbon sources in biofloc was not significantly different (P> 0.05) on specific growth rates, survival rate, and feed conversion ratio of nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The specific growth rates achieved in treatments A, B and C are 2.36; 2.27; and 2.90% / day. The survival rate value reaches 76; 74; and 85%. Value of feed conversion ratio are 1.3; 1.8; and 1.1. The results of measuring water quality in general are in a good range. This research shows that carbon sources using tapioca flour are better than carbon sources using maizena flour and rice flour.

Abstract

Koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) is a high-economic ornamental fish which is still included in the relatives of carp. Koi fish have colorful body colors with various types and patterns. The color of ornamental fish is one of the attractions of koi fish lovers. One of the efforts to increase the brightness of koi fish is the addition of color material from natural sources. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding flour containing different natural beta-carotene to the brightness of the color and growth of koi fish. The design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 3 replications. The treatment of this research is control or without the addition of beta-carotene source flour (P1), addition of mangosteen rind flour flour (P2), addition of dragon fruit skin flour (P3), and addition of crab shell flour (P4). Observed research parameters include Color Enhancement, LPBH (Daily Weight Growth Rate), Absolute Weight Growth, Absolute Length Growth, EP (Feed Efficiency), Survival Rate and water quality. The results showed that the Color Enhancement ranged from: 9.97 - 12.85, LPBH: 1.71% - 2.23%, Absolute Weight: 4.07g - 6.17g, Absolute Length: 1.55cm - 2.68cm , EP: 51.35% - 61.42%, SR: 86.67% - 100%. The results of analysis of variance were carried out that the increase in color, absolute weight and absolute length had a significant effect on koi fish (Cyprinus carpio). The addition of crab shell flour (P4) is the best result for the improvement of the color of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) compared to the addition of dragon fruit peel flour and mangosteen flour.

Abstract

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the application of a combination of gamal leaf flour and eggs in commercial feed on the feed quality and feed efficiency of nirwana tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The completely randomized design method was used in this study with four treatments and four replications. The treatments studied were pellet without application of combination of gamal leaf flour and eggs (P0), pellet with combination gamal leaf flour 10 % / kg of feed and eggs (P1), pellet with combination gamal leaf flour 15 % / kg of feed and eggs (P2) and pellet with combination gamal leaf flour 20 % / kg of feed and eggs (P3). Nirwana tilapia fish seed stocking density was 1 individu/l with the length of 3-4 cm. The culture period of fish farming was 50 days. The ANOVA test showed that the commercial feed with the application of a combination of gamal leaf flour and eggs gave significant effect on the feed efficiency and specific growth rate of nirwana tilapia. The highest feed protein content was obtained in the P1 treatment of 30.17%. The smell of feed produced in all treatments tended to be strong and brown. The durability of feed in water which was almost close to control was treatment P1. The best dose to increase feed quality, feed efficiency and of nirwana tilapia seed is pellet with combination gamal leaf flour 10 % / kg of feed and eggs (P1).

Abstract

Ikan Dalum (Bagarius yarelli) dihabitat endemiknya semakin langka sehingga menjadi salah satu spesies yang terancam punah karena aktivitas penangkapan nelayan. hal tersebut merupakan masalah pada penelitian ini. Dengan memahami kebiasaan makan ikan Dalum dapat diketahui jenis dan komposisi pakan yang tepat sehingga dapat didomistikasi untuk kelangsungan hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk Menganalisis Indeks of Preponderance (IP) Ikan Dalum. Mengukur panjang usus dan menghitung persentase Relative Langth of Thegut (RLG %). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei dengan penentuan lokasi sampling menggunakan Purposive Random Sampling. Analisa data dengan metode deskriptif dan parameter nilai IP menggunakan IP>40% (Nikolsky 1963). Hasil penghitungan nilai IP dalam lambung di bagi 4 kategori diantaranya udang (42,41%) sebagai makanan utama, serangga (17,09 %) sebagai makanan pelengkap, ikan kecil (0,71%) sebagai maknana tambahan, tidak teridentifikasi (39,79 %) sebagai makanan pelengkap. Rata-rata panjang tubuh ikan dalum pada bulan Agustus (23,67 cm) dan dan panjang usus (17,46 cm) sehingga diketahui nilai RLG (73,76 %). Sedangkan untuk bulan September (23,65 cm), panjang usus17,53 cm sehingga diketahui niai RLG (74,13%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kecerahan warna dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan sumatera (Puntius tetrazona) dengan penambahan astaxanthin dalam pakan. Penelitian ini didesain menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak tiga kali. Ikan sumatera yang digunakan merupakan hasil tangkapan alam dengan bobot rata-rata 1,22±0,17 g. Ikan diperliharan selama 30 hari dalam akuarium berukuran 30x20x20 cm3. Perlakuan yang diujikan yaitu kontrol (Tubifex sp), 0 mg astaxanthin per kg pakan dan 100 mg astaxanthin per kg pakan. Parameter yang diamati yaitu tingkat perubahan warna, kelangsungan hidup, pertmbuhan dan parameter kualitas air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi astaxanthin pada dosis 100 mg/kg pakan menghasilkan kecerahan warna. Penambahan astaxanthin dalam pakan tidak mempengaruhi kinerja pertumbuhan ikan sumatera.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the water physical and chemical parameters of Ie Sayang Lake for fish culture development area using floating net cages. The observations of water physical and chemical parameters were finds out from April to June 2021 at four stations. The recorded data of water physic-chemical parameters included temperature, current velocity, dissolved oxygen, water depth, pH and turbidity. The data obtained then scored by matching the data values with the criteria for the suitability of waters for fish culture in floating net cage. The results showed that the condition of the water physical and chemical parameters in Lake Ie Sayang is not suitable to be developed as a fish culture area using floating net cage. The water parameter values during research namely temperatur (30,1oC to 31,9oC), current velocity (15 to 19,5 cm/s), dissolved oxygen (2,86 to 5,25 mg/l), water depth (1,08 to 1,93 m), pH (6,13 to 6,35) and water tubidity (0,47 to 0,58 m).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Samudra dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepadatan yang berbeda terhadap kelulushidupan benih ikan kakap putih (Lates calcarifer) pada sistem transportasi tertutup, benih ikan kakap putih diambil dari langsung dari balai BPBAP Ujung Batee, kemudian ditransportasikan kelangsa selama 10 jam perjalanan dan melakukan pengamatan kelangsungan hidup selama 7 hari pemeliharaan dalam wadah toples berukuran 25 L dengan setiap perlakuan yang berbeda dan diberi pakan, frekuensi pemberian pakan 3 kali sehari 08.00, 12.00 dan 17.00 WIB. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri atas 4 perlakuan 3 kali ulangan yaitu P1= 60 ekor P2= 70 ekor P3= 80 ekor dan P4=90 ekor. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelulushidupan benih ikan kakap putih, P2 (100%) merupakan perlakuan untuk kelulushidupan benih terbaik kemudian diikuti dengan P1, P3 dan kelulushidupan terendah pada perlakuan P4 yaitu 14,81%. Sedangkan TKO terendah terdapat pada perlakuan P1 yaitu 0,013 mg/l., sedangkan oksigen tertinggi terdapat pada P4 yaitu 0,040 mg/l.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh padat tebar terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan peres, serta untuk mengetahui padat tebar yang optimal dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan sintasan benih ikan peres. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Benih Ikan (BBI) Lukup Badak, Kecamatan Pegasing, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah. Ikan uji yang digunakan yaitu Ikan Peres dengan panjang awal 3 - 4 cm dan berat 0,32-1,90gram sebanyak 480 ekor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan P1: 25 ekor/KJ, P2: 35 ekor/KJ, P3: 45 ekor/KJ dan P4: 55 ekor/KJ. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji sidik ragam (Anova), diperoleh bahwa padat tebar berpengaruh nyata terhadap penambahan bobot mutlak, panjang mutlak, sintasan, efisiensi pakan dan rasio konversi pakan (P>0,05) benih ikan peres. Padat tebar yang paling bagus yaitu P1 (padat tebar 25 ekor/KJ).
