One example of a plastic material is ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) which is a type of thermoplastic plastic. Thermoplastics are organic synthetic materials that melt when heated and can be formed under the influence of pressure. In the book “Molding Simulation: Theory and Practice, there is a table of reasonable design values for the L/t ratio. The table states that the flow length of ABS material with a product thickness of 1mm is 100mm-200mm. This study aims to determine the flow length of ABS material at the lowest and highest injection pressures with a mold temperature of 25 °C (the correct plastic material mold temperature is 50 - 80 °C), to find out the comparison between the trial results and the reference table, to determine the effect of injection pressure on flow. length ABS plastic material on the long and short runners. Based on the conditions and parameters used in this study, it was found that the greater the injection pressure, the longer the resulting flow length and the mold temperature affecting the resulting flow length. And in order to obtain a flow length or flowability in accordance with the table of reasonable design values for the L/t ratio, the correct width of the product/specimen mold is 7.941 mm for the long runner and 12.687 mm for the short runner.

Pada Bulan Juni 2020 terdapat claim di customer TMMIN (PT Toyota Motor Manufakturing Indonesia) untuk produk horn assy. Claim-nya adalah part number pada kartu identitas customer berbeda dengan part number horn assy. Oleh karena itu dibuatlah otomatisasi sistem pokayoke kanban cek dengan QR code scanner sebagai media indikator untuk mendeteksi kanban salah (campur) untuk memudahkan pekerjaan pengecekan kanban oleh foreman dan inspektor menggunakan visual basic, arduino, dan konveyor, dimana data dari kanban akan terekam dalam database di komputer. Otomatisasi sistem pokayoke pengecekan kanban terintegrasi di lokasi foreman dan inspektor, berhasil menurunkan rasio produk NG (Not Good) dari pengecekan manual, pada area foreman dari 3.3% menjadi 0% dan pada area inspektor dari 1.7% menjadi 0%.

The power generator system generally consists of equipment to generate electricity, control systems, and monitoring systems. The monitoring system is usually located in a control room, which is located quite far from the generating equipment, so many use SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) as a solution for this. Design of a prototype monitoring system for synchronization of generators to the PLN line was carried out on a SCADA-based MHPP (Mini-Hydro Power Plant). The SCADA system presents data in the form of graphs and writings whose values are in the form of data from GPC-3 Hydro and PLC. The protocol used for communication is Modbus TCP/IP. The results of the tests that have been carried out prove that the created SCADA system is capable of monitoring RTU data from both GPC-3 Hydro and PLC in real-time while the generator is operating. The indicator is the suitability of data values between SCADA and Modbus which is connected to GPC-3 Hydro and PLC and is supported by the suitability of the time values recorded in the alarm table data and graphs.

Making customizing single product, we can use the additive manufacturing method. One of the additive manufacturing technologies is 3D printing. 3D Printing machines which often found on the market are Fused Depsition Modeling (FDM) technology. The fused deposition method or FDM is an additive manufacturing method which uses the concept of adding layers or materials to each layer. One of the main materials in the 3D printing process is ABS filament. However, the 3D Printing machine with FDM technology has a weakness, if you want to make products that are paired and have tolerances it will be difficult because the surface will appear to have lines that show the boundaries between layers. These lines are influenced by the parameters contained in 3D Printing. The Taguchi method is used to obtain optimum parameter variations and uses ANOVA analysis to determine what factors influence the shrinkage response to specific tolerances. The optimum combination of parameters on the shrinkage/deviation response to special tolerances on the inside diameter, namely nozzle temperature 230, print speed 70 and layer height 0.20. And on the outside diameter, namely the nozzle temperature is 250, the print speed is 90 and the layer height is 0.2.

Injection molding is the injection of melted plastic material into a mold to form a product. A good formulation of the injection process is affected by several factors, factors that affect the injection process include the plastic melt temperature, product design, injection speed and injection pressure. This study examines the parameters that affect the flow length of the polypropylene (PP) material. This material was chosen because it is commonly used in life, such as food and beverage containers. This study aims to determine how far the flowability of PP plastic with a product thickness of 1 mm is based on the table of reasonable design values for the L/t ratio in the book Molding Simulation: Theory and Practice. This research method goes through several steps including, creating a cavity layout to form the research specimens, analysis of specimen molds, trial molds with calculated parameters and changing injection pressure parameters gradually, measuring and assessing the resulting flow length of the injection trial process, concluding the experimental results. The results of this study are expected to be taken into consideration when designing a product made from PP so as to minimize failures in the mold making process.

Machine vision is a technology commonly used in modern industry for image-based autonomous analysis and inspection. Machine vision helps the process of product analysis and inspection in the industry faster than manual analysis and inspection. This study applies machine vision to an image processing-based product number identification system in the manufacturing industry packing process using the YOLOv4 algorithm and evaluation of the confusion matrix system. The results of the identification are stored in a database and displayed on the website to facilitate the monitoring process. This system has carried out several tests, especially testing the main function of the system, namely product calculations, carried out 10x experiments. Then, testing variations in light intensity with a range of 20 – 225 lux and variations in height with a range of 48 – 68 cm with 10 trials each. From the tests that have been carried out, an evaluation of the confusion matrix is applied and produces an accuracy and precision of 100% and an error of 0%. The average computing speed of this system is 6.95 FPS with the help of CUDA.

Ship Movement is an important factor in shipbuilding. In determining the ship's maneuverability, there are many aspects that must be considered in the design, namely resistance and angle of attack of the waves. In determining the angle of attack of the waves, the test uses the trigonometry principle to determine the angle of attack of the waves. Where the results of the 3 maneuvers of the Heave, Roll and Pitch ships at speeds of 0 knots, 0.389 knots, 0.778 knots, 1.166 knots, 1943 knots, it is known that the displacement model ship can be used in an open area with a set scale.

Waste is a real problem and will continue to increase as the human population grows. The increase in waste will have a negative impact on the environment and health if not managed properly. The process of handling household waste is still limited to collection and disposal carried out by the local Sanitation Service. In this case, recycling household waste is needed to reduce environmental impacts and improve economic and social welfare in the community. However, the problem that is often faced for this recycling process is the initial processing which includes sorting and crushing waste. This research aims to produce an efficient and appropriate household waste sorting machine design, this waste sorting machine design is useful for separating household waste that is organic and inorganic.

Teaching aids are used in the field of education to streamline the implementation of the learning process. In this research, AC servo motor learning media with type R88M-1M10030-S2. The learning media will focus on controlling the position and speed of the servo motor for the x, y and z axes. This research uses the experimental work method. Testing of this research is carried out in Motion Variety parameter testing, NC function testing, HMI function testing, and user evaluation testing. It was found that the percentage of deviation value was 4.9%. In position testing, the deviation value of the X and Z axes has a small average final error with an X-axis error value of 0.21% and a Z-axis of 0.24%. It can be seen that the average Y-axis error is the largest with an average error value of 5.84%. Overall the average value of the HMI evaluation is 89% for the quality of the AC Servo Motor Teaching Aid HMI that has been made. This figure is classified as very good to continue using the tool as an auxiliary medium for the teaching process.

Injection molding is a process by which plastic is heated until it softens to fill a closed mold and form a product. One of them is the benchtop injection molder, where the machine that was previously made at POLMAN had problems, namely the main frame structure and injection mechanism which was less sturdy during the injection process and the heating system which overheated. Based on these problems, a redesign and analysis was carried out on the existing benchtop injection molder machine. The design methodology used is VDI 2222, which is a technical concept design methodology suitable for product development. Heat Transfer Simulation on existing and latest designs using COMSOL Software with geometry, material, temperature, fluid inlet and outlet, and mesh parameters. The results obtained were uneven heat distribution to the middle of the existing barrel at a temperature of 4600K, while the new barrel had an even heat distribution to the middle at 4730K at the 10th second. The latest machine weighs 17.78 kg, dimensions 775 x 266 x 426 mm, barrel capacity 19 grams with an aluminum frame and tight band heater installation.
