Abstract

Banjarmasin covered by swamp area almost 32 %. Accumulation of organic waste make this area looks not clean fully especially around people’s house. The people tend burn them to make its look clean, but they dont know how danger it is. Less knowledge as principally factor. They dont know that they cause ISPA, air pollution, and danger one is burning disaster. The way to overcome this   by make them be a valuable thing by compost them to be compost fertilizer. In this research, compost fertilizer  was made by addition EM4 activator and compered by cow waste dan commercial fertilizer. Composting by using EM4 is faster 20 days at water content 40.06 %, pH 7.3, Organic C 20%, totally nitrogen 1.51%, P 1.50%,  K 2.66%, Fe 0.75%, dan Zn 89 ppm and still fullfill SNI qualification.  This Compost fertilizer give positive effect to the plant.

Abstract

The specific objective of this study was to determine the growth and feed efficiency in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fed artificial diets based kiambang that has been fermented with Rhyzopus oryzae. This research are done in May and November 2014, using a completely randomized design. Treatments are different stocking density is 50 individual  / m2 (A), 75 individual / m2 (B), and 100 individual / m2 (C). The results showed: the highest relative growth rate in treatment C for 898,0g / individual, followed by treatment B for 679,25g / individual and A of 455,83g / individual. Feed efficiency ranged between 89.65% - 90.26%. The survival rate of tilapia during the maintenance period is 100%. Results of water quality analysis showed decent range for the life of tilapia where the temperature ranges from 26 ° C - 28 ° C, the degree of acidity (pH) ranged from 7.10 to 7.27, and dissolved oxygen (DO) ranged from 3.5 to 4.1 mg / l.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to study effect and the best dose of liquid organic fertilizing (LOF) on soybean varieties yield and the most suitable varieties cultivated on East Borneo in general.The experiment was conducted from August to November 2013 in agricultural land of Sukorejo farmer group, Lempake Village, SamarindaUlu District, Samarinda Town. The experiment design that used is Split Plot Design 3x4 with 3 replication.  As the main plot is Anjasmoro (v1), Burangrang (v2), dan Argomulyo (v3). As the subplot is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels in 0 mL L-1 water (k0), 2 mL L-1 water (k1), 4 mL L-1 water (k2), 6 mL L-1 water (k3). The data were analyzed using analysis of variance. If there is a real effect then followed by LSD test to compare the 5% average of two treatment. Result of the analysis of variance showed that treatment significantly affected all varieties of variable observations except days to flowering, number of pods and dry weight of pods. Liquid organic fertilizing (LOF) treatment effect was not significant on all variables observations except age crop, the total number of pods, seed dry weight on plot, seed dry weight on hectare. Argomulyo varieties showed the best results with a concentration of 4 mL L-1 water of liquid organic fertilizing (LOF).

Abstract

This study aims to know the general picture effort household asinan cempedak in The Village Riwa District a Shower The County Balangan, knowing the magnitude of the value of added derived from the effort asinan cempedak in The Village Riwa District a Shower The County Balangan. This study was conducted on the effort of household manufacture asinan cempedak in The Village Riwa District a Shower The County Balangan. Methods used is a method census, methods collecting data and using the wawancara. Analysis used is analysis of the value of added tha using the hayami. The results of research obtained by the system of treatment effort asinan cempedak using the raw materials skin part in cempedak. The value of added derived from asinan cempedak is of Rp.59.660/kg. The value of added is obtained from the value output (production asinan cempedak) with the cost of the raw materials and the cost of supporting lannya. While the ratio value added asinan cempedak is of 59,07%, it means every one kilograms production asinan cempedak produce the value of 6%.

Abstract

In the framework of ex-mining land use and development of the company's CSR program, PT KPC East Kutai create integrated programs in the livestock sector called Integrated Breeding Beef Cattle Farm program (in Indonesian : Peternakan Sapi Terpadu aka PESAT) , which is the integration activities of Bali cattle breeding, dairy and dairy products until the product is finally at the top ex mining land . This program has been started since the end of 2009. MoU between PT KPC and STIPER of East Kutai has a special meaning, especially for farm studies program. This program can be used as a field laboratory for STIPER campus, which does not have such facilities. Accordingly, necessary to study the extent to which the program contributes for advancement of higher education in East Kutai. This study aims to 1) identify the benefits obtained by STIPER from the program , 2) estimate the benefits of the program for the campus STIPER and 3) evaluate the contribution program to the advancement of education on campus STIPER. This study uses qualitative and quantitative methods, that is by identifying what benefits resulting from the program and further quantify in the form of rupiah and evaluate it . The results showed that there are several benefits obtained from the program , as well as the street vendors and research into the field laboratory. If quantified, the benefits worth USD 28.9 million / year, with details of benefits as a field laboratory of Rp 10,500,000 / year and as a street vendor and research of Rp 3.4 million / year. The conclusion of this study that PESAT program not yet optimalized with good.

Abstract

Tempe is a food fermented soy beans or other legume species using the fungus Rhizopus oligosporus and Rhizopus oryzae. By utilizing dregs tofu and mocaf expected to provide added value to the additional material and as an effort to reduce the consumption of primary ingredient in the production of tempe namely soybean. The purpose of this study was to determine the formulation of additives that are most appropriate as an additional ingredient of making tempe using threshold test and hedonic test. The test results threshold suggests that there can be found the best formulation would be expected in each type of material, the entire formulation in both types of materials response difference exceeds the prescribed limit is 50%, but each type of material has a formulation that is approaching a percentage basis, ie formulation (95: 5) on the pulp out the different response of 60% and a formulation (95: 5) on mocaf with different response of 65%. The test results hedonic showed that tempe substitutes dregs tofu most preferred is tempe with the formulation of 95: 5, while the tempe mocaf most preferred substitution is tempeh with 55:45.

Abstract

The nutritional quality of local food in the poor Kalimantan region will be lacking in minerals because the place for growing forage plants in a land with margins (acid) makes the quality of mineral poor food ingredients. The purpose of this study was to determine the nutritional quality of local feed supplemented with biocomplex ZN and Vitamin E. The treatment in this study used a complete design (CRD) with 4 processing repetitions made from 16 experimental units, consisting of (Tl) local forage-concentrates l2% PK without Zn and vitamin E supplementation, (T 2) Tl-supplementation + 60 mg Zn / kg as biocomplex Zn and vitamin E (T3) Tl + l20 mg Zn / kg such as Zn biocomplex + vitamin E and (T4) Tl + l80 mg Zn Biokomplek / kg + vitamin E. Parameters collected are the nutritional quality and digestibility of dry matter and feed organic matter. The results shown from studies using biocomplex ZN up to 180mg / kg of feed (PT3) can increase the protein content and dry matter content of local feed, and can increase the digestibility of local dry matter and organic feed ingredients. It was concluded that ZN Biokomplek and Vitamin E can improve the quality of local feed.

Abstract

Banana stem is one of the potential wastes of pertania for animal feed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of addition of (SOC)® on the degree of acidity (pH) and Physical Quality at Banana Stage Silage. The research method used in this research is an experimental method using Randomized Complete Design (RAL). Treatment of SOC at concentration 0% (Control), 0,1%, 0,2%, 0,3% and 0,4% with storage time consist of 1, 3, 5 and 7 day with replication 4 times. The number of samples used are 80 samples used for pH and physical quality (Color, Odor, Texture and Mushroom Existence). The treatment given in the sample is P0 = 0% SOC (control), P1 = SOC concentration 0.1%, P2 = SOC concentration 0.2%, P3 = SOC concentration 0.3% and P4 = SOC concentration 0.4%. The results showed that the addition of SOC and Lama of storage significantly affect the pH value and the smell of banana tree silage. The best concentration is 0.3% and 0.4% with the best storage time of 5 and 7 days.

Abstract

         The effect of gibberellins hormone concentration on the growth and yield of okra. The aims of research are (1) to determinate the effects of growth and yield of okra plant with gibberellins hormon treatment, (2) to determine the best concentration of gibberellns hormone on the growth and yield of okra plants. This research obtained for three mounth on January to Aprl 2018. The research was conducted in Diponegoro Street, Village Sangatta Sub-distrct East Kutai. This research uses is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of non factorial experiments each of four treatments and six replcates, are : g0 = without fertilizer, g1 = 150 ppm, g2 = 200 ppm, g3 = 250 ppm. The obtained data was analyzed by F test 1% and 5% and be continued with LSD at 5% if the treatment had significant effect. The results of the best growth research plant height 7 MST (75,141 cm) and growth of the leaves number 7 MST, best flowering age at 32,167 day and the best yield production result is 971,333 gram solid treatment.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) knowing the forms of women empowerment through women farmer group (KWT) in facing the modernization of agriculture, the programs undertaken, and the level of women participation in that groups. (2) Assess the social and economic impacts of women empowerment through women farmer groups (KWT). This research was in Kecamatan Bissapu Banteng Regency, choose samples of two groups of women farmers (KWT) Paranglabbua and Lemoa Sejahtera. Take sample by purposive sampling taking six people (chairman, secretary, treasurer and 3 member) from KWT Paranglabbua and Lemoa Sejahtera, and one agriculture extension agent. Technique data analysis are: (a) qualitative descriptive on: (1) forms of empowerment, (2) programs undertaken by each group and social impact. While (b) participation rate is used scoring technique. (c) the economic impact is related to contributions using contribution analysis.  The results of the research show that: The form of women empowerment in farmer group (KWT): socialization, routine meeting, demonstration in experiment garden, counseling and training of vegetable processing involving extension instructor. Women empowerment program: Provision of production facilities, , experimental garden, agricultural processing, and counseling. The participation in women farmers group is high because of the value of benefits obtained in the form of knowledge and skills. (4) Increasing the role of women (4). Expansion of the work sector from the domestic sector to the domestic and public sectors (agriculture sector). (4) Increasing communication and cooperation (4) . While the economic impacts are: (1) creating employment in the field of agriculture (2) adding value to agricultural products with processing technology utilization (3) contributing income of 7.03%.
