Abstract

Research aimed to determine survival of tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) in dry transportation system. The research was conducted at Beach Fish  Center of Tanjung Laut Indah bontang southern districts - East Kalimantan. Testing animals is a tiger grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) amounted 12 fishes an average weight ranging 350 - 400 grams, which is the test animals are included in consumption level and ready to be marketed. The research method uses descriptive data analysis, with 3 treatments i.e. each treatment consisting 4 groupers fish and each one transported 6, 10, and 14 hours. Each treatment is packaged in same Styrofoam with sawdust and ice cube material content that has been wrapped in newspaper and plastic. Before packing the fish beforehand was adapted for ± 24 hours and immotilitation the fish that have been ready directly using temperature 15°C for 15 minutes and fish ready to be packed in styrofoam with temperature 15°C. Obtained result from all treatments for 6 hours transportation produce survival rate (SR) level 75%, 10 hours 50%, and 14 hours 25%.

Abstract

Dekomposisi awal memiliki peran penting dalam proses pengomposan.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dinamika populasi mikroba dan degradasi serat kasar selama proses dekomposisi awal. Limbah ternak pada umumnya memiliki rasio karbon dan nitrogen yang rendah sehingga diperlukan penambahan jerami padi sebagai sumber karbon. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga perlakuan rasio C/N: 20, 25, dan 30. Perubahan suhu, pH, jumlah total bakteri, jumlah actinomycetes, jumlah kapang diamati selama 7 hari proses dekomposisi awal.  Kadar lignin, selulosa, dan hemiselulosa diamati pada akhir dekomposisi awal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasio C/N 30 menghasilkan proses dekomposisi tertinggi, dengan fase termofilik terjadi pada hari ke 2 dengan suhu tertinggi 57oC dan pH 8,79. Temperatur mencerminkan proses dekomposisi yang tinggi melalui aktivitas mikroba dalam mendekomposisi bahan organik. Total jumlah bakteri dan actinomycetes yang dicapai pada fase termofilik berturut-turut 179 x 1011 cfu/g dan 87 x 105 cfu/g. Kapang berkembang pada suhu mesofilik pada hari ke 5 dan volume total tertinggi mencapai 48 x 1011 cfu/g pada hari ke 6. Proses dekomposisi awal mampu mereduksi lignin sebesar 30,57%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dinamika populasi mikroba dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan nutrisi dalam substrat yang dijelaskan oleh rasio C/N. Pertumbuhan bakteri dan aktinomycetes tertinggi terjadi pada suhu termofilik sementara kapang berkembang pada suhu mesofilik. Kandungan lignin dan hemiselulosa pada substrat menurun.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is Knowing the pattern of marketing channels , analyze and share the marketing margin, and to analyze the level of marketing efficiency pepper in the Mangkauk village. Based on field observations and analysis of data tabulation is known that selling price pepper producer farmers of 50.000 IDR/Kg and the consumer final purchase price of 61,000 IDR, with the margin 11,000 IDR, and the share of 81.967%, the pattern of 1's, producers farmers to sell directly to the end consumer, profit of 10.800 IDR/Kg. Marketing patterns 2nd, there is a longer marketing chain, namely: farmer producers, traders and retailers. The selling price of pepper at the producers farmers level, same with a pattern 1's is 50.000 IDR/Kg, the selling price of traders level is 61.000 USD/Kg, and the selling price retailers level is 72.000 IDR/Kg, so that the end consumer buy at a price of 72.000 IDR /Kg. the level producer farmes, marketing margin of 69,44%, traders of 11.000 IDR, and share of 69,44%, and retailers of 22.000 IDR, with share of 84,722%. Gains derived by 10.300 IDR/Kg traders with a share of 14.305%, while retailer profits earned 10.800 IDR/Kg with a share of 84.722%. Value of marketing efficiency in pattern 1 by 1.97% and the 2 patterns, traders is 1.14% and 0.27% retailers, based on the results of these calculations the chain or the most efficient marketing channel is the retailer level, efficient because the value lies between 0.1% - 50%.

Abstract

Talas banana (Musa paradisiaca var sapientum L) is one type of typical bananas in South Kalimantan that has a bright prospect in the future. The plant propagation of talas banana is slower than the other types of bananas.  Therefore, it is necessary to use the fast and efficient propagating method, namely by the tissue culture. The growing media used in the banana plant propagation through in vitro culture were Murashige and Skoog media. The propagation of talas banana through in vitro culture used the plant growth regulators of cytokinin, namely BAP, Thidiazuron, and coconut water. The objectives of the research were 1) to find out the PGR formulations in the media of MS and ½ MS with the subculture time interval for optimization of culture products on the initiation and multiplication of the Talas banana’s shoot and root formation called plantlet (Musa paradisiaca var sapientum L). 2) to determine the methods/techniques of in vitro propagation (optimization of each PGR formula on the media of MS and ½ MS with each time interval of Talas banana subculture, the highest number of roots in the treatment of MS + BAP 0.5 mg L-1 while the highest percentage of contamination in MS medium + BAP 0.5 mg L-1.

Abstract

This research aimed to obtain parental stock Performa the freshwater prawns from the Barito river, Kintap and Pagatan parent selection criteria in order to obtain a local superior. This research uses experimental methods and design to use Completely Randomize Design 3 treatments and 3 replications. The Results analysis of variance showed different genetic sources provide significant effect on parental sotck performance indicators for the relative growth rate and feed conversion with the highest relative growth derived from genetic resources Br (Barito) with a value of 157.98% and 63.26% for long. Then followed the genetic source Br with relatively heavy growth of 132.92% and 55.82% standard length and the latter originated from genetic resources is to heavy Ki 112.23% and 49.47% standard length, then feed conversion ratio (FCR) ranged between 2.64 -3.59, with the best feed conversion value generated genetic resources parental stock candidates prawns from Barito (Br) and the results of measurements of water quality is still in the normal range and support for the survival of prawns.

Abstract

                The purpose of this research is to know the revenue,the total cost and the income of  coffee agroindustri bussiness . This research was conducted in Januari to Februari 2016 at Jati Baru village Astambul  Banjar . The sensus metode used was by observing 7 craftsmen in Jati Baru village who see about Coffee agroindustri bussiness . The Average result of the revenue is Rp. 7.136.000,/ craftsmen, the average variabel cost is Rp.5.682.500/craftsmen and the average fixed cost is Rp. 95.000/craftsmen,  the average total cost  is Rp.5.739.300/craftsmen, and the average income is Rp. 1.396.000/craftsmen. From  this result of development of coffee agroindustri bussiness we believe that it has good prospect and revenue,tecnically and economically.

Abstract

Balangkasua (Lepisanthes alata (Blume) Leenh.) is one of the exotic fruit typical of South Kalimantan, there are two kinds are yellow and purple-peel. This exotic fruit is still relatively low levels of consumption, this is because the harvest period is very short, not yet commercially grown, the growth area is in rural areas that are generally difficult to reach by public. Though the content of the nutritional value and phytochemical compounds that can be utilized. This research was aimed to determine the nutrient content in the pulp and peel and identify isoflavonoid component in the methanol extract of peel, pulp and seeds of purple peel balangkasua. Research result showed that pulp balangkasua contain protein of 8.40%, crude fiber of 21.76%, total acid of 26.90 mg KOH / g as well as vitamin C of 41.50 mg / 100 g, whereas in peel has a protein content of 4.20%, crude fiber of 37.83%, total acid of 13.47% and vitamin C of 38 mg/100 g).  Balangkasua was detected contain isoflavonoid compound there were equol and daidzein in seed, pulp was contained genestein, equol and genistin, and in the peel extract was contained genestein.

Abstract

This Research aims to determine how much it costs, revenue and income of farmers through an integration system of rice-breeding cattle crops in the farmers group “Tani Membangun” in Jaro village Jaro District Tabalong Regency.   The method used is observation method, data collection was conducted from March until June 2015.   The data analysis used is quantitative analysis.  Quantitative data includes the revenue and expenses incurred farmers in the integration system of rice-breeding cattle crops such as variable costs and fixed costs.   Element of total revenue and total cost of measurement is based on the measurement indicators.   Descriptive statistical analysis is the analysis of the data used in this research to calculate the average income.   The results of this research shows that the total costs is Rp.37.527.195,-/year, total revenue in the amount Rp.90.025.454,-/year and the income earned Rp.56.170.067,-/year with an average area of land owned 0,8 ha and 2,6 livestock ownership and production of livestock waste (fases) in the form organicfertilizer 711,6 kg/year.

Abstract

Intention of this research is to know the interaction influence of some media plant and physical treatment, knowing best combination of media plant and physical treatment and know the media plant and best physical treatment to fracturing of dormansi and viabilitas of sugar palm seed.   This research  was concuted on the experimental land at Jumba Amuntai of South arch, during 4 month, device utilized in this research is Random Device of Group ( RAK), with the factorial attempt pattern two factor that is : (I) Media plant the (T) with four level : t0 = sand + land;ground  (1 : 1); t1 = sand + fertilize the cage of chicken dirt (1 : 1); t2 = sand + chaff (1:1) and t3 = sand + sawdust (1:1). (II) Treatment of seed physical (F) with four level : f0 = without physical treatment; fl = cut the parallelogram of near by bydm soriyt eye ± 5 mm; f2 = sharpened circular precisely bydm soriyt eye; f3 = rubbed by a precise emery paper of bydm soriyt eye.    Result of research indicate that the media interaction plant and physical treatment have an effect on the reality to germination percentage, fast of germination, sum up the leaf, long of upper seed and dry weight of sprout. Combination of media plant and best physical treatment at germination percentage that is t2f1 is 53,25 %, accelerateing germination at t0f2 is 6,65 day, sum up the leaf that is t1f3 is 1,87 piece of, upper seed length that is t1f2 is 35,67 dry cm weight and of sprout at tlf0 is 1,86 g. Single factor of media plant best there are at media plant the sand + fertilize the cage and very influencing to growth perception that is length of bydm soriyt dry weight and of sprout. Abstract

Bawang Dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr.) is a plant that is often utilized by the community as a traditional medicine because it contains active compounds that have antioxidant activity. People usually prepare them by boiling. In this study, bawang dayak are processed to herbal drinks to determine the antioxidant activity during storage. The study aims of this research is to determine the best bawang dayak herbal drink based on antioxidant activity and sensory attributes by studying the effect of the processing (raw material and sweetener composition) and storage. This research uses factorial design method with randomized block design with grouping in storage time of day 0 and day 7. Factor I consists of 2 levels: fresh bawang dayak and dried bawang dayak, while factor II is unsweetened and sweetened (sucrose). The analysis were the presence of phytochemical compounds, acidity (pH), antioxidant activity (DPPH method), and sensory analysis (hedonic 1-5). The results showed that bawang dayak herbal drink made from dried herbs (40 g in 1 L water) processed by boiling for 10 minutes, and stored for 7 days showed the best antioxidant activity with the value of % inhibition of 71.49%, and IC50 of 6.15 mg/ml, sensory attributes of hedonic scale of 2.9 for color (like slightly), 2.5 for aroma (like slightly) and 2.6 for taste (like slightly).
