Abstract

The Moncongloe District is an environment that is rich in potential with many Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Business owners in this sector face challenges in managing business finances effectively. Limited financial knowledge is due to the fact that MSMEs do not have a financial background or formal education in this field. This makes it difficult for MSMEs to understand the terms and concepts used in financial reports. This community empowerment program aims to make a positive contribution to business development in Moncongloe District, particularly in recording business finances. The implementation method is through workshops, discussions, questions and answers, and evaluations to provide an understanding of the importance of financial reports for MSMEs. The results of the community empowerment program show that workshop participants experienced an in-depth increase in knowledge about the importance of financial reports which can improve business performance for MSME entrepreneurs and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) in Moncongloe District, Maros Regency. In addition, participants succeeded in understanding the tools for starting a business, namely the Business Model Canvas, and making simple financial records that can help community empowerment partners in developing more structured and innovative MSME businesses.

Abstract

The micro-business of Rengginang crackers with the Urnika brand in Prambontergayang Village, Tuban District, is an industry in the food sector. The process of drying Rengginang crackers in partner’s still uses conventional methods or under sunlight to carry out the drying process. Hence, it takes quite a long time to dry Rengginang, namely around 6-7 days. This community service program aims to develop and train the use of alternative technology for drying Rengginang crackers to Rengginang crackers micro-entrepreneurs in Prambontergayang Village, Tuban District. The method used for implementing PKM is a participatory approach (participatory action research/PAR). The results of the PKM carried out have had a positive impact on partners, namely more optimal and efficient drying. Drying using a microcontroller-based food dehydrator can speed up drying up to 120 minutes with a capacity of 5000 pcs of wet Rengginang. With this technology, partners can increase their production capacity for Rengginang crackers so that they can increase the expected number of sales.

The digital marketing program has also been successfully implemented by inaugurating the Sutra Studio Cipondok and the official village website. This new institution, along with the re-branding of woven fabric products, is expected to strengthen the sustainability of the program. The outcomes include an increase in the income of business groups, the effective implementation of marketing strategies through social media and the website, and the establishment of the Sutra Studio Cipondok institution. These steps not only support local economic growth but also integrate the silk fabric products of Cipondok Village into a broader market. The program contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) numbers 8 and 9 by enhancing decent work and economic growth, as well as advancing infrastructure, industry, and innovation.

Abstract

The issue of nutritional health among toddlers has become a concern for the Indonesian government. The aim of this initiative is twofold: firstly, to prevent and early detect stunting in toddlers by leveraging local food resources through spinach-based technology, and secondly, to enhance the skills of Posyandu health cadres in spinach-based technology and improve their knowledge on stunting prevention. The service team will provide health education on stunting prevention using lecture and discussion methods and conduct anthropometric measurements. Practical or demonstration methods will be used to make cakes and jelly candies. The next stage is evaluation. Findings from the community empowerment evaluation show that health cadres are able to make jelly candy and spinach biscuits. The level of knowledge and skills of cadres on early stunting prevention and anthropometric measurements increased compared to before community empowerment. The evaluation results for knowledge and skill levels after training were 79.4 versus 66.5 before training. Paired t-test analysis found that the p-value was 0.002, so it was concluded that there was a significant increase in knowledge and skills scores in transferring spinach technology before and after training.
