Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effects of compensation, job stress andmotivation on job satisfaction. The method used is survey and sampling technique used isnonprobability sampling with saturated sampling. Population in this research is permanentemployee of Health Office Karawang with sample counted 100 respondent. Data analysisused in this research is using Partial Least Square (PLS). The implication of this research isto improve employee job satisfaction, the management of Karawang Health Office needs toprioritize policies related to job satisfaction. In an effort to improve employee job satisfaction,management needs to prioritize policies related to compensation, job stress and motivation.To improve employee job satisfaction, management also needs to pay attention to othersupporting factors such as organizational culture, work environment, organizational climate,organizational commitment and other factors not examined. It should be noted in order toimprove employee morale and progress of the company

Abstract

The oil boom in the Arabian Peninsula has removed Oman's dependence from the agriculture sector and shifted to the oil and gas sector. Oman's economy is dependent on the public sector but the expanding population has made it inevitable to penetrate deeper into the private sector too. This present research study attempts to compare employee engagement in public and private companies in Oman oil and gas sector. It aims to identify the difference that exist in the comprehension of employee engagement. Add to that, this study also aims to compare cognitive, emotional and behavioral levels of employee engagement in the said sectors. Primary data was sourced through structured questionnaire and the information regarding the respondents were collected from 140 respondents. Out of that 70 respondents in public and 70 respondents in private Oil and Gas sector. Snowball sampling method was used to collect the data. The target respondent for this study are middle level employees. The outcome revealed that there is no significant difference in behavioural level of employee engagement but cognitive and emotional level there are some significant differences in employee engagement between public and private companies in oil and gas sector.

Abstract

The emergence of the restaurant allows people to not have to cook for themselves. Inrestaurant, consumer enable to get some food and baverage to full fill their needs. Recently,many kind of restaurant that offer pleasant service include the interior decoration as well asthe exterior are attractive and also put forward the good service by relying on a qualitywaiter. This kind of service is called as service environment (servicescape and serviceencounter) where the restaurant offer pleasant servicescape and service encounter toinfluence positive consumer emotion for satisfying consumer for satisfying consumerbecause of the consumer perceived service quality will increase. This new way of pleasantservice environment has the potential for greater impact on consumer. Therefore, the aim ofthis research is to know the effect that servicescape and service encounter in restaurant onconsumers? emotion (pelasure and arousal), perceived service quality, and consumersatisfaction. The research methodology used for this study is a case study with surveyresearch method. Convenience sampling technique derived from non-probability samplingtechniques are used for sample selection. The sample of this research is 257, from peoplewho have visited Warunk Upnormal Purwokerto. Statistical software SPSS and AMOS isused to analyze the data. The findings in this area will help Warunk Upnormal Purwokertoand other marketers to reach out its potential customers and align their marketing effort inefficient way by pay attention on the marketing policies about Servicescape and serviceencounter. The limitations of the research is some respondents not read and answer thequestion clearly and made it not represent their exact perception

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of cash ratio, DER, recivable turnover, NPM, ROE, and institutional ownership on dividend payout ratio at manufacturing company. This research was conducted at manufacturing company listed in BEI period 2011 until 2016. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, which is a sample of 19 companies. Data analysis in this study using classical test, multiple linear regression analysis, F test, adjusted R square, and t test. From the results of the research is known that receivables turnover, return on equity, and institutional ownership have a significant positive effect on dividend payout ratio. While the rest, cash ratio, DER, and NPM did not significantly affect the dividend payout ratio in manufacturing companies in 2011-2016.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of supportive and directive leadership style on employee job satisfaction in commercial banks in Kenya. The study adopted positivism research philosophy to guide the study and limited itself to descriptive correlational research design to analyze and provide responses to the research questions. The research design was preferred because it allows description and comparison of characteristics of populations based on data collected from samples through questionnaires. The target population of the study was 15,030 employees in all the 43 commercial banks licensed to operate in Kenya as of June 2018. Using stratified sampling technique, the study drew a sample size of 386 employees reporting to middle level managers. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, which included factor analysis, correlational analysis, chi-square, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and regression analysis using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20 and Windows? Microsoft excel programs.From the findings of multiple linear regression analysis, it was established that directive leadership style had a positive and significant relationship with employee job satisfaction, R2 = .228, F(1, 362) = 53.396, p < .05; ? = .454, p < .05. The results from multiple linear regression analysis also showed that supportive leadership style positively and significantly predicted employee job satisfaction, R2 = .603, F(1, 366) = 278.269, p < .05; ? = .716, p < .05. In addition, the study tested the moderating influence of environmental contingency factors and was confirmed that environmental contingency factors significantly moderated the relationship between path-goal leadership style and employee job satisfaction, R2=0.090, F(5,364) = 35.04, p < .05; ?= 0.229, p<.05.The study makes a contribution to the literature of the influence of directive and supportive leadership styles from Kenyan commercial banks? perspective and adds an impetus to employees, management and policymakers to address issues that are impeding employee job satisfaction. The future researchers should include all bank employees in their study to determine the influence of directive leadership style and supportive leadership style on employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

Police officers duties and roles in today?s democratic society are getting complex. As theparty whose responsibility is to enforce law and order, it makes their performance matter themost. This research is aimed to figure out the effect of organizational culture on employeeperformance with the mediating role of organizational commitment. The researchmethodology that used in this study is a case study with survey research method. Purposivesampling technique is used to determine the sample for this research. The sample of thisresearch are 200 police officers of Polres Ciamis. SPSS and Amos statistical software arebeing used for data analysis purpose. The results of this study indicate that organizationalculture has a positive effect on both organizational commitment and employee performance.Additionally, organizational commitment has a positive effect on employee performance aswell as mediating the causal relationship between organizational culture and jobperformance. The result of this study is expected to give the implications to Polres Ciamis inincreasing the performance of its officers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study the direct and indirect interactions between CustomerFocus, Education and Training, Team Cooperation, and Continuous Improvement ofProduct Quality. The study was carried out in the Small and Medium Industry soun noodlesin Klaten Regency. The subjects of this study were the owners of Small and MediumIndustries soun noodles.This study has a contribution, especially in explaining themechanism to provide educational programs and job training for employees to continue toimprove their skills and work skills, build strong teamwork supported by high morale andcontinuously develop and diversify products based on customer demand, feedback betweencustomers, quality of competitors, and ways employee work.

Abstract

The aims of research were to analyze the effect of dissatisfaction as well as characteristic ofproduct category on brand switching, to analyze the moderating role of variety seeking needon the causal relationship between dissatisfaction as well as characteristic of productcategory and brand switching, and so to analyze the direct effect of perceived price as wellas competitors? promotion on brand switching. Type of this research uses survey. Populationof this research was all customers of smartphone in Purbalingga who ever use the Samsungbrand and they switch to another brand of smartphone product which the number isuncertainty. Sampling technique of this study used interval estimate technique and theopinion by Hair et al., so it could be determined that sample size within study was 150respondents. Furthermore, technique data analysis of this study used Structural EquationModel (SEM) analysis. Based on the result of data analysis, it could be concluded thatdissatisfaction as well as characteristics of product category has a positive influence onbrand switching, need of variety seeking no moderates the influence of dissatisfaction aswell as characteristics of product category on brand switching, and perceived price toanother brand as well as competitors? promotion has a positive influence on brand switching.Refers to these conclusions, it could be implied that in order to minimize its customers?brand switching behavior, marketing manager of Samsung smartphone products needs tomake priority on marketing policy to address the customer dissatisfaction, characteristic ofproduct category, need of variety seeking, perceived price and competitors? promotionpolicies. The ways can be done by decrease the several risks are faced by Samsungsmartphone users and always to follow up the customers? complaints related to theproblems or error of the Samsung smartphone product quickly and accurately, create thespecific products of smartphone which cannot be imitated by competitors, apply the productdiversification strategy through modifying existing products or adding the new product basedon price levels and target market segmentation, make the various technological innovationsto improve the quality and usefulness of smartphone products in accordance with thechanging needs, desires and consumers? preferences, set price of Samsung smartphoneproducts that are cheaper than price of competitors? smartphone products with still maintainthe quality and benefits of Samsung smartphone products, and build the brand image of?SAMSUNG?, and always maintain and strengthen the quality of long-term marketingrelationships with its customers to keep them from being influenced by the promotionalprograms of competitors? product or brand.

Abstract

Positive values of Western management such as efficiency, discipline and respect for therole of the individual to influence the performance of the organisation. American corporatemanagement practices cannot be separated from values and rationality embraced by thecommunity. Efforts to achieve organisational effectiveness depends on environmentalfactors, one of which cultural factors. Culture is the value system embraced by theenvironment, including the work environment. Based on Hofstede's cultural dimensions, thecollectivist, Indonesia, entrepreneurial management model has the potential to develop thebusiness goals that have value and uniqueness.
