Abstract

This study aims to explore the experiences of self-harm in young adulthood. The research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The findings reveal three main themes in the experience of self-harm among young adults: 1) causes of self-harm, 2) ideas about self-harm, and 3) the cycle of self-harm. The conclusion indicates that the causes of self-harm vary among individuals, including factors such as family, academic, psychosocial, intrapersonal, personality, unpleasant past experiences, and physical health history. The ideas about self-harm among participants are influenced by everyday media exposure, such as social media and preferred films. The self-harm cycle begins with an individual's negative response to stressors, the type of self-harm performed, the negative feelings experienced before self-harm, and the relief felt as an emotional release after self-harm, which leads individuals to feel addicted and engage in repeated self-harm. In summary, self-harm is a maladaptive coping mechanism that provides only temporary relief from emotional burdens. Social skills training and counseling are recommended to reduce the risk of recurring behavior for those who are not yet ready to stop. Keywords: Self-Harm, Students, Young Adult

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to review and provide a more comprehensive assessment of the relationship between the anti-diabetic effects of Anthocyanins in humans, whether consumed as a dietary supplement, purifying agent, flavonoid mixture, or extract. In this narrative review, eighteen recent clinical studies that have been published over the last five years studying the therapeutic effects of Anthocyanins in the diet in diabetes are described. Research results show that anthocyanin supplements can control blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin and other diabetes markers. Additionally, larger doses of Anthocyanins were shown to have better effects on diabetes treatment. There is evidence in this review that diets rich in Anthocyanins may increase the risk of diabetes, especially in people at risk. Additionally, research should focus on various clinical biomarkers, the ideal time frame for intervention, and the effect of Anthocyanins in both controlled and uncontrolled diabetes patients. In conclusion, clinical studies show that Anthocyanins can influence many targets related to diabetes mellitus simultaneously. Additionally, use of ACN during diabetes or hyperglycemia appears to be safe and effective. Keywords: Diabetes, Anthocyanin, Metabolism, Food

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of human, organizational, and technological factors on the completeness of nursing care documentation through Electronic Medical Records (EMR) at RSUD Waru Pamekasan. The method used is observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of all nursing staff at RSUD Waru Pamekasan, totaling 108 individuals, and a sample of 108 individuals was obtained using total sampling techniques. The measurement tool employed is a questionnaire, and the data analysis used is ordinal regression testing. The results show that human and technological factors have significant values; specifically, the human factor has a p-value of 0.001 with an Odds Ratio (OR) of 1.022, while the technological factor has a p-value of 0.000 with an OR of 1.065. This indicates that the technological factor has a greater influence than the human factor on the completeness of nursing care documentation through electronic medical records at RSUD Waru Pamekasan. In conclusion, the technological factor has a more significant impact compared to the human factor on the completeness of nursing care documentation through electronic medical records. This suggests that the quality and ease of use of technology are more crucial to the success of documentation than the skills or behaviors of nurses. Abstract

This research aims to increase the efficiency of prescription service time at the Outpatient Pharmacy Installation (IFRJ) of Semen Gresik Hospital through the implementation of ToC by providing recommendations for improvement. The method used is observational with a cross-sectional design, and the Theory of Constraints (TOC) is applied to identify and overcome the main obstacles in the service process prescription, as well as develop performance improvement solutions. The research participants consisted of pharmaceutical personnel who had worked for more than one year, including 1 Head of Pharmacy Installation, 1 Head of the Outpatient Pharmacy Service Team, and 1 Pharmaceutical Technical Personnel. Observations were made based on recipes served for two weeks. The research population was 14,226 prescriptions for one month, with the sample consisting of 193 finished medicine prescriptions and 180 concocted prescriptions taken by simple random sampling. The research results show that the main obstacles lie in the process of prescription entry and drug delivery as well as KIE (Communication, Information and Education). The prescription process uses a single line queuing system through seven main stages, with an overall average waiting time of 32.82 minutes. The longest process was preparing medicine with an average time of 12.22 minutes, and finished medicine prescriptions had a waiting time that did not meet the highest standards (26.1%) with an average waiting time of 24.18 minutes. Recommendations for improvement include optimizing work flow with information technology, increasing coordination between units, and increasing the number of pharmacists. Simultaneously, the implementation of ToC through recommendations for improvements is expected to increase service efficiency and patient satisfaction at IFRJ Semen Gresik Hospital.
