Abstract

This study attempts to use video games therapeutically, which can be used as a rationale for developing and utilizing video games as a therapeutic medium. This research method uses the PRISMA approach using the keywords "video game" and "teenagers," "mental health," and "intervention" in the Scopus electronic database, google scholar, Science Direct and Pubmed with a range of years 2018 to 2022. Based on the research results, they have identified the definition of video games along with their platforms and the use of video games to improve mental health for humans of all ages, especially adolescents. It is proven that improving the physical condition of older adults can involve the role of video games as a medium in them. In conclusion, thus, the study of the development and use of video games is urgent to help improve human health status. Keywords: Adolescent Mental Health, Therapeutic Media, Video Games

Abstract

This study aims to reduce anxiety in hospitalized children through drawing and coloring techniques. Drawing and coloring aim to make children happy and fearless and can be used as entertainment when hospitalized. This research method uses a descriptive design as a case study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning (intervention), implementation (implementation), evaluation, and documentation. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and filling out case study instruments for three days in the treatment room. The results showed that the implementation of nursing given in the form of drawing and coloring distraction techniques affected reducing anxiety experienced by pediatric patients during hospitalization. The anxiety score decreased significantly after applying the drawing and coloring distraction methods. In conclusion, drawing and coloring distraction techniques can reduce anxiety in children who experience hospitalization; anxiety scores decrease after being given picture and coloring traction techniques Keywords: Anxiety, Drawing and Coloring Techniques

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in the success of intubation on the first attempt between video laryngoscopes and direct laryngoscopes. The method used is an experimental quasi-experimental type with a Two Group Post Test Design. The sampling technique was carried out by consecutive sampling with the research instrument, namely the observation sheet. Data were collected in the operating room of Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado with a sample size of 40 respondents, with 20 respondents intubating with a direct laryngoscope and 20 respondents intubating with a video laryngoscope using an unpaired t-test. The results showed that the probability value obtained was 0.035. In conclusion, the success rate of intubation on the first attempt with a video laryngoscope is higher than that of a direct laryngoscope. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the results of research that has been published regarding the effect of parental involvement in child care on parental stress and anxiety in the intensive care unit. The method used is a systematic review through search strategies on eight electronic databases with the keywords used (Parent involvement OR Parent participation OR Family Integrity Care OR Family Centered Care) AND (pediatric intensive care OR PICU OR NICU) AND (Parent Stress OR Parent anxiety). The search results obtained 12 articles that would be assessed for quality with the guidance of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Research results show that parental involvement in child care in intensive care can reduce parental stress and anxiety. The highest significance was seen in the Family Integrated Care (FICare) program (p < 0.00043) and Family Centered Care (FCC) (p < 0.001) in the NICU room. In conclusion, all forms of parental involvement can reduce stress and anxiety, but parental involvement in child care in the PICU room is still limited. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of peripheral intravenous catheter replacement on clinical indications of complications in children. The method used is a review of eight articles on the impact of intravenous catheter replacement on clinical presentations on the incidence of complications in children using the ScienceDirect, ProQuest, Ebscohost, and Scopus databases. The inclusion criteria for the articles reviewed were research articles published in 2002-2022, accessible in full text and English. The exclusion criteria were articles not accessible in full text and check reports. The study's results obtained eight pieces that followed the study's objectives. The results of a systematic review of complications, 4 of 8 research articles showed that intravenous catheter replacement according to clinical indications did not significantly increase the risk of intravenous catheter complications; three research articles showed no significant difference to intravenous catheter complications.Regarding the survival time of intravenous catheters, of the eight articles reviewed, three reports stated that those replaced based on clinical indications had a longer survival time than those replaced routinely. Meanwhile, from cost efficiency, three articles said that routine catheter replacement increased hospital expenses. In conclusion, replacing intravenous catheters according to clinical indications has a more positive effect on pediatric patients. If surveillance for signs and symptoms of intravenous catheter complications is carried out regularly, signs of intravenous catheter complications can be detected early. Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between the use of conventional ultrafiltration and the incidence of postoperative acute kidney injury associated with the help of a cardiopulmonary bypass machine. The method used is a systematic review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) flowchart to obtain five selected literature. The results showed a relationship between conventional ultrafiltration fluid volume shifts and the incidence of post-cardiac surgery acute kidney injury. In conclusion, ultrafiltration fluid volume displacement > 32 mL/kg will increase the risk of acute kidney injury after cardiac surgery. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of family psychoeducation in reducing the burden on families who experience stigma as tuberculosis clients and have a history of drug withdrawal. The research method used was a case report on one family with one caregiver who experienced the burden and anxiety of tuberculosis clients with a history of drug withdrawal. Interviews and observations used the Hamilton Rating Scale (HARS) instrument on caregivers and the Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI) instrument. The results showed that family psychoeducation with six sessions at four meetings could reduce anxiety and burden on caregivers with an initial HARS score of 29 to 16 (mild anxiety) and a ZBI score of 44 to 34 (light-moderate perceived burden). In conclusion, family psychoeducation affects client adherence to treatment; in family psychoeducational interventions, health workers coordinate with caregivers to reduce anxiety and increase caregiver knowledge about the client's illness. Family psychoeducation also plays a role in overcoming social and self-stigma in clients and families. Keywords: Family Psychoeducation, Drug Dropout, Stigma, Pulmonary Tuberculosis
