Abstract

Abstract: Based on the findings of previous studies, the Indonesian students’ mathematical problem solving skills were not high yet. This research used comparative design to find out whether the mathematical problem solving improvement of students who were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model and Quantum Teaching approach were significantly better than students who were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model only. The samples of this study were students from two classes of grade VII at SMP Negeri 5 Lembang, West Bandung. Students of class VII E were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model and VII C were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model with the Quantum Teaching approach. The improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities who were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model and students who were taught using the Everyone is a Teacher Here model and the Quantum Teaching approach were categorized as “moderate”. Statistically, the students’ problem solving improvement of students who were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model and Quantum Teaching approach were significantly better than students who were taught using Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model only. The result of students' response to Everyone is a Teacher Here learning model were categorized as "neutral" and students' response to Quantum Teaching approach were categorized as “really like”. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the mathematical concepts comprehension of junior high school students. This comparatively designed study was carried out by using two cooperative learning models, namely The Power of Two (TPOT) type, and the Think Talk Write (TTW) type. This study was carried out at two classes from class VII of SMPN 3 Lembang, West Bandung. The instrument used was a test of mathematical concepts comprehension on the subject of Social Arithmetic in the form of subjective tests and student response questionnaires. The findings from the results of this study are that an increase in the mathematical concepts comprehension in students who obtained the cooperative model The Power Of Two (TPOT) type is 0.85, and students who obtained the Think Talk Write (TTW) type cooperative model is 0.83, which are both in the high category. There was no significant difference in the improvement of students' mathematical concepts comprehension between students who obtained the cooperative model The Power Of Two (TPOT) type and students who obtained the Think Talk Write (TTW) type cooperative model. Students are happy with the cooperative learning model The Power Of Two (TPOT) type. Abstract

Abstract: Mathematical connection skills is the ability of students to connect mathematics itself, mathematics with other subjects, and mathematics with problems in daily life. This comparative research aims to compare students' mathematical connection skills through cooperative model the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) type and the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type. The sample for this research was students in two classes in SD Kartika X-3 Parongpong, namely class III B , and class III C. The instruments used is a test of mathematical connection skills that consists of a subjective question about the two- dimensional figure topic, and a non-test instruments in the form of student response questionnaires. The results showed that: The increase in mathematical skills of students who obtained the cooperative learning model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) type and the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type are in the high category, but there is no significant difference in the increase in students' mathematical connection skills between the two learning models. Next, the results of the Student responses questionnaire indicate that students like the cooperative learning model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) type and the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type that they obtain. Abstract

Education has a part in improving the quality of human resources. To have a proper quality measurement of education, there should be sustainable assessments. The Assessment could be implemented locally and world widely. Indonesia undertake the local assessments through national examinations and Indonesia also comply certain international assessments. One of the international assessment which Indonesia has complied to is PISA (Program for International Student Assessment). Meanwhile the result of PISA indicates that Indonesia is still below the average of other nation participants. There are several reasons which are being the factors for this result, one of it is students in Indonesia are not habitual to solve the problems in PISA questions. The object of this project is to analyze PISA questions and then to expand the questions by following the standards of PISA which are combined by the context of East Kalimantan. Each question is analyzed and descripted according to the level of mathematic competence, mathematic content, context used, literacy level, question format, and reviewed which are based on 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the mathematical understanding ability of junior high school students through the application of contextual learning model type Hands-on Activity (HOA) and SAVI learning (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intelectual). The design of this study uses a comparative casual. The research sample consisted of 55 VIII grade students of SMPN 10 Cimahi, West Java. The research instruments used were test and non-test instruments. The test instrument consisted of mathematical understanding questions about the construction of the plan figures, and the non-test was in the form of a questionnaire of students' responses to the learning strategy. Hypothesis testing used was the t-test at a significant level (α = 0.05). The results of the study show that: are 1) The students' mathematical understanding ability has increased in the moderate category, 2) There is a difference in increasing mathematical understanding ability between students who obtain the contextual learning model type Hands-on Activity (HOA) and students who obtain the SAVI model (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual, 3) Students respond favorably to the contextual type of Hands-on Activity (HOA) learning model and the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

Learning style is a behavior that is intentionally done by students in the form of cognitive, affective and psychological behavior to obtain changes in learning. Information about student learning styles can help teachers determine the learning strategies to be used. This study aims to determine how the learning styles of high school students in Bandung. This is descriptive research, and the sample in this study was 275 students from several secondary schools in Bandung. The learning style measurement instrument used is the "Perceptual Learning Style Preference Questionnaire" (PLSPQ) made by Reid (1987) which states there are six learning styles (visual, tactile, auditory, group or group, kinesthetic, individual), and translated into Indonesian. The results showed that: (1) There were 20.73 percent of students who had only one dominant or "major" learning style. , (2) There are 55.27 percent of students who have more than one dominant learning style, (3) There are 24 percent of students who do not have any dominant learning style. Other results are: The majority of high school students have a kinesthetic learning style (learning through their overall body experience or involved physically in classroom experiences) and or group learning style (learning with other friends in a group) as the dominant learning style.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan self regulated learning mahasiswa UNAI. Penelitian ini merupakan pre eksperimental dengan menggunakan one group pretest-postest design sebagai desain penelitian. Sampel penelitian ini adalah satu kelas mahasiswa fakultas ekonomi yang mengambil mata kuliah statistik bisnis I di Universitas Advent Indonesia dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes angket skala self regulated learning mahasiswa yang sudah diuji validitasnya dan melalui wawancara. Skala likert ini diubah menjadi skor baku z yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik non parametrik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kemampuan self-regulated learning mahasiswa sesudah diterapkan Project Based Learning lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum diterapkan Project Based Learning. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, disarankan bahwa model pembelajaran project based learning dapat dijadikan salah satu pilihan pembelajaran dikelas untuk mengembangkan kemampuan self regulated learning mahasiswa ataupun kemampuan kognitif, afektif, juga kemampuan lainnya. Selain itu dapat juga diterapkan pada mata kuliah lainnya. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan mahasiswa yang diwawancarai menyatakan bahwa mereka menjadi lebih mandiri dan lebih siap dalam belajar statistik di kelas.

Abstract

This research is a comparative study that aims to compare the improvement of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities with two different learning models. The sample of this study was two classes at Pasundan 8 Bandung High School, class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3, respectively. The instrument used was a test of problem-solving skills in the form of problem descriptions and student response questionnaires. The results of this study are (1) Improvement of mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who obtain learning with the Group Investigation and Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) - Heuristics model is in the medium category. (2) There is a significant difference in the improvement of mathematical problem-solving abilities between students who obtain the Group Investigation learning model and students who obtain the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) - Heuristic learning model. (3) The students are in favor to learn mathematics using the Group Investigation (GI) learning model and Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) - Heuristics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the achievement of each indicators habits of mind (HoM) senior high school students. The research method used is descriptive. The population in this study were high school students in the city of Bandung. The sample was chosen by 1 class consisting of 31 students. The instrument used was the Habits of Mind questionnaire. The results showed that the habits of mind of senior high school students were positive for the 12 indicators (75 %) and negatif for 4 indicators (25 %). This study can be recommended to improve the habits of mind (HoM) senior high school students.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of the research is emerged by the importance to develop an appropriate learning model in realizing the Ministry of Education and Culture policy in 2020 on Merdeka Belajar-Merdeka. The objective of the research is to adapt and to transform the policy of Merdeka Learning-Merdeka into pratical use by developing a learning models Blended Learning aided by an application of Sevima Edlink in Mathematics classrooms. The research was conducted from April to June 2020. The research method used were literature study and observation. The participants were six students of Mathematics in their 4th semester. The finding showed that after the use of Blended Learning with Sevima Edlink, the average 90,83. Thus, is it cloncluded that Blended Learning using Sevima Edlink is appropriate in Mathematics learning process in order realize Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka policy.
