Mathematical connection ability is one of the most important mathematical skills for students. The ability of mathematical connections can be influenced by cognitive styles. One of the cognitive styles reviewed from conceptual tempo is reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style. The purpose of this study was to find out: 1) the most dominant cognitive styles at low, medium, and high levels of mathematical connection ability and 2) analyze and describe the students' mathematical connection abilities in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles. This type of research is descriptive by using qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 6 students from grade VIII smp Advent Parongpong and grade VIII SMP Advent II Setiabudi selected based on reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style. Data collection method in the form of written tests and interviews. The results showed the most dominant cognitive styles for the low category were impulsive cognitive styles while students with reflective cognitive styles were most dominant for medium and high categories. Reflective students with high mathematical connection ability are able to achieve all indicators of mathematical connection ability. Reflective students with moderate and low mathematical connection skills are less able to achieve all indicators of mathematical connection ability. Impulsive students with high, medium and low mathematical connection skills are less able achieve all indicators of mathematical connection ability.

Misconception is something that can hinder the acceptance of new material and affect success in solving mathematical problems. This study aims to identify misconceptions in mathematics education students who are prospective mathematics teachers. Identifying and finding solutions to this misconception is very important because it can help improve student learning outcomes. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method using diagnostic tests and interviews. The diagnostic test was conducted on 28 mathematics education students using an instrument in the form of structured essay questions. Students are asked to answer questions with the right steps, then fill out a CRI questionnaire to measure the level of confidence in the answer. The results showed that there were half of all students who experienced misconceptions when doing proof by mathematical induction. There are 3 types of misconceptions experienced by students, namely: algebraic concept errors, misconceptions in the basic steps related to series, and algebraic calculation errors. The largest percentage are algebraic misconceptions.

Using less precise learning models has an impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Therefore, one of the right models in learning is Creative Problem Solving. Such models can increase the activeness andivity of students in learning. The purpose of this study is to find out how the students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the Creative Problem Solving model. The method used is qualitative research with a type of literature study research. In the literature study using written sources, namely journals, thesis and other relevant written documents. Research is motivated by students' low mathematical problem-solving abilities. The data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data on mathematical problem solving capabilities, and the Creative Problem Solving model. The results of this study are: students' mathematical problem solving skills using the Creative Problem Solving model have improved well.

Understanding ability is closely related to students' beliefs in understanding a subject matter. If students already understand the material, students will be sure or confident to work on the questions on the material provided or students can more easily continue to the next stage. The purpose of this study is to determine the understanding of students who have high, medium, and low self-efficacy. Data collection methods used are questionnaires, test questions and interviews. The instruments used are self-efficacy questionnaires, tests of student understanding and interview guidelines. Researchers took 6 research subjects, namely 2 students with high self-confidence, 2 students with moderate self-confidence and 2 students with low self-confidence. The presentation of the data carried out is to describe the results of students' understanding tests and the results of student interviews. The results showed that the high level of self-efficacy of students was able to meet all indicators of understanding. Students who have moderate self-efficacy are only able to fulfill 5 of the 7 indicators and can do 4 of the 5 questions given. For students who have low self-efficacy, they are only able to fulfill 5 of the 7 indicators and can only answer 3 of the 5 questions given

Lines and angles as one of the math topic which is beneficial in life is attainable at junior high school. The results of the given learning can be observed by their understanding skills. In gaining mastery of understanding concepts of lines and angles, everyone will face obstacles. The purpose of this research is to analyze students’ understanding skills and learning obstacles which is experienced by students on the topic of lines and angles. Learning obstacles included are ontogeny obstacles, didactical obstacles, and epistemological obstacles. In this research, with SMP Advent Ciracas as the research places with a total subject of 26 students,it is found that:(1)42.3% of students are capable of restating concepts, (2)0% of students are capable of giving examples of a concept completely, (3)46.2% of students are capable of representing concepts, (4)23.1% of students are capable clasifying objects based on math concepts, and (5)3.8% of students are capable of connecting math concepts internally or externally. The average score is 4.69, with the maximum score obtainable is 10. This shows that the understanding skills of students is considered weak. For that, analysis on learning obstacles which is the causative factor is done. By the result of research, learning obstacles are found. Epistemological obstacles found are: (1)students have difficulty in identifying point on a line; (2)students mistakes the concept of parallel lines and have limited concept of line segments; (3)students have difficulty on perpendicular position of two lines; (4)students have difficulty computing complementary angles. Didactical obstacles found are: (1)the given learning which doesn’t serve students in constructing their knowledge; (2)weak reinforcement on prerequisite subjects for lines and angles; (3)obstacles caused by inadequate facilities. Ontogeny obstacles found are: (1)students’ unpreparedness in studying online; (2)lack of mental strenghts for studying lines and angles.

This study discusses the most dominant personality types at low, medium, and high levels of ability in mathematical problems and to describe students' problem-solving abilities in solving mathematical problems in SPLTV material based on the type appropriate to Littauer. This type of research is a descriptive study of qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 12 students from class X MIA 2 and X MIA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Parongpong. Data collection in the form of written tests and interviews. The results showed the most dominant personality type for each level of mathematical ability is phlegmatic. At a high level of mathematical ability, most of each type of student's ability can do every step of solving Polya problems well. At the moderate level of mathematical ability, each student's personality type can question the problem well, most students of each personality type have not been able to make a complete problem-solving plan, and are not careful in working on the problem, at the last stage of each type of student can be seen again his work At a low level of ability, students of each personality type are not able to make problemsolving plans well and correct the difficulty of solving problems, at the installation check only students with sanguine and choleric personality types need to return to work.

Students' difficulty in understanding mathematics requires the teacher's role to be creative, adaptive, and innovative in carrying out learning using the methods, strategies, and media used. So that teachers need to make learning innovations which in this case is a form of teacher professionalism. The purpose of this study is to analyze learning innovations that can be carried out by using one of the devices, namely the Jitsi video conference in order to improve the professionalism of a teacher, especially during a pandemic like today. The method used is library research by collecting various references in the form of books, relevant national and international journals and using deductive data analysis with data collection techniques involving several processes, namely organizing, editing and analyzing. The results of this study indicate that one of the learning innovations that can be used is the use of jitsi video conference so that mathematics learning is more effective and efficient. With effective and efficient learning, it can be said that the professionalism of teachers is also getting better.
