Abstract

Influencer marketing thrives in Indonesia’s collectivistic culture, where community trust shapes consumer behavior. This study aims to test the Cultural Contingency Theory of Digital Influence, examining how authenticity influences credibility and digital engagement among influencers on Instagram and TikTok. A mixed-methods approach was employed, analyzing data from 152 influencers over eight weeks. The study utilized a natural language processing model tailored for the Indonesian language to assess authenticity, alongside validated scales for credibility, engagement, and consumer skepticism, followed by structural equation modeling for hypothesis testing. Findings reveal that authenticity strongly enhances credibility, which in turn drives digital engagement through likes, comments, and shares. Nano influencers excel in building credibility through authentic, community-driven content reflecting values like mutual cooperation (gotong royong), while micro influencers boost engagement with broader reach. Consumer skepticism weakens the authenticity–credibility link, particularly when content lacks cultural resonance, such as moral character. Engagement is higher in Java than Sumatra, with TikTok favoring raw authenticity and Instagram emphasizing curated aesthetics. This study validates a culturally contingent model, offering insights for tailored marketing strategies, although it is limited by its focus on the standard Indonesian language and short study duration.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of the digital landscape compels information technology organizations to adopt adaptive project management approaches to remain competitive. This study examines the influence of Scrum implementation and Agile organizational culture on project productivity, with team experience as a mediating factor, in small and medium-sized information technology consulting firms in Bandung, Indonesia. The research employs a quantitative explanatory design, collecting data through questionnaires from 98 project managers and analyzing it using structural equation modeling with partial least squares. The findings reveal that Scrum implementation and Agile organizational practices significantly enhance project productivity by improving efficiency, deliverable quality, and team effectiveness. However, team experience does not mediate these relationships, indicating that Scrum and Agile frameworks exert strong direct effects. This study concludes that consistent Scrum practices and Agile culture are critical drivers of project success in Bandung’s information technology sector. These insights provide practical guidance for managers to optimize project outcomes through strategic Agile adoption, emphasizing structured processes and collaborative cultures, while highlighting the need for further exploration of team experience’s role in diverse contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of a web-based reservation system on patient no-show rates at Cipanas Garut Clinic, where high no-show rates and long waiting times hinder service efficiency. The objectives are to assess the system’s effectiveness in reducing no-shows, shortening waiting times, and evaluating waiting time as a mediating factor. Using a quantitative approach guided by the Technology Acceptance Model and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, data were collected through purposive sampling from 119 patients who used the reservation system between March and May 2025. A questionnaire measured perceptions of the reservation system, waiting time, and no-show behavior, analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares. The findings reveal that the web-based reservation system significantly reduces no-show rates by enhancing scheduling efficiency and transparency, with waiting time partially mediating this relationship. Patients reported high satisfaction with the system’s accessibility and reduced waiting times, improving attendance. The study concludes that web-based reservation systems offer a viable solution for primary healthcare facilities to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction, with implications for adopting digital tools and optimizing waiting time management in resource-constrained settings.

Abstract

Global agribusiness faces increasing volatility and disruptions, making supply chain performance critical for competitiveness, especially in developing economies where structural fragmentation and limited adaptive capacity hinder value creation. This study investigates how strategic agility enhances supply chain performance through the mediating roles of supply chain resilience and value realization among millennial coffee farmers in West Java, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design was employed, collecting data from 143 coffee farmers selected through purposive sampling. Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze direct and sequential relationships among constructs. Findings show that strategic agility positively influences supply chain resilience  and value realization, with resilience mediating the relationship between agility and value realization, and value realization driving performance. The sequential mediation pathway from agility through resilience and value realization to performance is significant. This study validates an integrated capability-based model, offering practical insights for enhancing adaptive capacity and competitiveness in agribusiness supply chains. Future research should explore longitudinal effects and broader agribusiness contexts to strengthen generalizability.

Abstract

Conflict is an unavoidable phenomenon in organizations, including educational institutions. Interactions among individuals with diverse backgrounds and interests often generate tension that can disrupt the effectiveness of teamwork. This study aims to analyze the forms of conflict that occur, examine the human resource management approaches used to resolve them, and evaluate the effectiveness of these approaches in creating team harmony. A qualitative approach with a case study method was applied at an educational institution in Medan City. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that conflicts generally stem from ineffective communication, unequal workload distribution, and differing perceptions of management policies. The human resource strategies applied included internal mediation, communication training, and efforts to strengthen a collaboration-oriented organizational culture. These approaches were found to be effective in reducing conflict and improving interpersonal relationships within the team. The study concludes that human resource based conflict management plays a crucial role in fostering harmonious and productive teamwork in educational environments, and can serve as a model for other institutions facing similar challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of talent management practices, including talent recruitment practice, training and development practice, and compensation practices, on Medical Representative performance, with the mediation of organisational learning and innovative behaviour. Based on data collected from companies in the pharmaceutical industry sector in Medan City, Indonesia, with a sample size of 260 and sampling techniques using accidental sampling, the data analysis technique uses Structural Equation Modelling (SEM - PLS) with SEM PLS 4.0 software. The study’s results indicate that talent management practices (talent recruitment, training and development, and compensation practices) significantly positively affect sales performance. Only talent recruitment does not directly affect Medical Representative performance but hurts learning. In addition, learning organisations are proven to mediate the relationship between talent management practices and Medical Representatives. At the same time, innovative behaviour also plays a role in mediating the effect of talent management practices on Medical Representative performance. These findings provide insight for practitioners in designing more effective sales force management policies in improving sales performance and highlight the importance of learning organisations and innovative behaviour as the main supporting factors.

Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is a voluntary employee behavior that does not directly cause imbalance, but contributes significantly to organizational effectiveness. This behavior is strongly influenced by internal employee factors, such as commitment to the organization and job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction on OCB among PT. XYZ employees. A quantitative approach with a descriptive-associative design was used in this study. The entire population consisting of 45 employees was taken as a sample using a census technique. Data collection was carried out through a Likert-sized questionnaire (1–5), which had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that organizational commitment (β = 0.41; p < 0.01) and job satisfaction (β = 0.35; p < 0.01) had a positive and significant partial effect on OCB. Simultaneously, the two variables explained 57.2% of the variation in OCB (R² = 0.572; F = 28.6; p < 0.001). In conclusion, increasing employee commitment and job satisfaction is an important strategy in forming a work culture that supports OCB behavior and increases organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

The increasing demand for skilled workers in Indonesia’s competitive job market highlights the importance of preparing vocational students for employment. This study aims to investigate the influence of self-efficacy and motivation on work readiness among vocational students in Jakarta, Banten, and Bogor. A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 336 final-year students from polytechnic programs selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale, measuring self-efficacy, motivation, and work readiness. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted using SPSS to examine the relationships between these variables. The findings reveal that self-efficacy and motivation individually and collectively have a significant positive impact on work readiness, explaining 62% of the variance in preparedness. Students with high self-efficacy demonstrate strong confidence in their professional capabilities, while motivated students exhibit greater commitment to skill development. These results underscore the critical role of psychological factors in enhancing employability. Vocational institutions should prioritize strategies to boost self-efficacy and motivation, such as hands-on training and industry partnerships, to better prepare students for workforce demands and reduce the skills gap in Indonesia’s job market.
