Abstract

The cosmetics industry in Indonesia contributes significantly to environmental degradation through non-degradable packaging and chemical-laden products, prompting a shift toward eco-friendly alternatives. Consumer demand for sustainable cosmetics is growing, driven by environmental awareness, yet the factors influencing their purchasing behavior remain underexplored. This study aims to examine how green motivation influences behavioral intentions toward eco-friendly cosmetic products, with green brand love and green trust as mediators, focusing on the Indonesian market. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data through an online survey from 262 Indonesian consumers who had purchased green cosmetics. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares to test the relationships between variables. The findings reveal that green motivation significantly influences behavioral intentions, with green brand love and green trust partially mediating this relationship. Consumers with strong environmental motivation exhibit greater emotional attachment and trust in eco-friendly brands, enhancing their likelihood to purchase and recommend these products. This study concludes that fostering genuine sustainability practices can strengthen consumer loyalty in Indonesia’s green cosmetics market, offering insights for brands to align with environmental values and meet growing consumer expectations.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are crucial drivers of economic growth, job creation, and equitable income distribution, particularly in developing regions such as Gorontalo, Indonesia. As engines of local innovation and contributors to poverty alleviation, the sustainability and competitiveness of MSMEs depend heavily on internal organizational factors, especially human resource management (HRM). This study explores the impact of employee development, recruitment, and job satisfaction on the performance of MSMEs in Gorontalo. A quantitative research approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships among these variables. Data were gathered from 94 MSME respondents from trade, manufacturing, and service sectors using purposive sampling. Results indicate that employee development (β = 0.306, p = 0.001), job satisfaction (β = 0.289, p = 0.039), and recruitment (β = 0.220, p = 0.034) significantly and positively impact performance, with employee development showing the strongest influence. Among these, employee development emerged as the most influential factor, emphasizing the importance of continuous skill enhancement and training initiatives. The results suggest that MSMEs must prioritize strategic HRM practices to strengthen organizational capabilities, even in semi-urban environments with limited resources. It also offers practical implications for policymakers and business owners by highlighting the need to invest in human capital as a pathway to achieving long-term performance and competitiveness. Future research is encouraged to explore additional HR dimensions and contextual variables influencing MSME success.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of Social Media Marketing (SMM) and perceived pricing on consumers' repurchase intentions, with trust serving as a mediating factor, in the context of modern retail outlets in Padang City. A quantitative method was utilized, employing Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. Data were obtained through questionnaires administered to 250 participants, all of whom were patrons of Budiman Swalayan. The analysis revealed that both SMM and price perception have a positive and significant influence on customer trust. Moreover, price perception has a direct and essential effect on repurchase intention, whereas SMM does not exhibit a substantial direct effect on repurchase intention. Trust demonstrated a significant impact on repurchase intention and was confirmed as a significant mediator in the relationship between both SMM and price perception with repurchase intention. These outcomes highlight the crucial role of trust in connecting SMM and pricing perceptions to consumer loyalty. From a practical standpoint, the study emphasizes the necessity of consistent digital marketing efforts and equitable pricing strategies as fundamental drivers for building trust and encouraging repeat purchases.

Abstract

Indonesia faces significant tax revenue losses due to cross-border tax evasion, prompting increased international cooperation and investment inflows to strengthen fiscal capacity. This study aims to examine how Automatic Exchange of Information, Exchange of Information on Request, Spontaneous Exchange of Information, and Foreign Direct Investment influence Indonesia’s tax revenue from 2019 to 2023. A quantitative approach was employed, using panel data from 34 Regional Tax Offices, analyzed through a fixed effects model to account for regional variations. The findings reveal that Automatic Exchange of Information significantly boosts tax revenue by 0.118% per additional case, Spontaneous Exchange of Information contributes a 0.092% increase per case, and Foreign Direct Investment drives a 4.2% revenue rise per unit increase. However, the Exchange of Information on Request shows no significant impact due to limited case activity. The study concludes that enhancing technological infrastructure for Automatic Exchange of Information and providing targeted training for Exchange of Information on Request can optimize tax compliance. These measures, combined with balanced Foreign Direct Investment policies, strengthen Indonesia’s fiscal framework, supporting sustainable economic growth and global transparency goals.
