This study aimed to find the model of regeneration in Islam as a solution to the above problems. Muhammad saw as the role model of Muslim leader has given us an example of how to grow leaders in a community. His model handed down to the companions and the previous followers. Therefore, his model in regenerating leaders can serve as a model for recent Muslim leaders to reproduce high quality leaders.The approach used in this study is library research. The research process begins with a search-related book titles, specify the primary sources about the history of Islam, including the life of The prophet, the chalips and muslim leaders. From those sourcesfoundedthe prohet and the chalips? thought about regeneration. Then the analysis is done and conclusions are drawn. The study also called qualitative research, therefore qualitative methods applied to use descriptive writing techniques.This research concludes that, the model of regeneration served by the prophet and the chalips is important for the recent Muslim leaders to reproduce high quality Muslim leaders. The model includes; regeneration in Islam based on Syura, akhlak as the basic value of regeneration, the program of regeneration including appreciation, direction, assignment and modeling, the modeling or giving good example is the main program. Marriage is one of the implementation of the command of Allah SWT and sunnah of the prophet Muhammad SAW. however, very few people know about it. Therefore the Miniastry of Religious Affairs of the Indonesian Republic through the District?s Offie of Religious, Affairs had been providing courses to bride and bridegroom candidates by giving knowledges understandings and skills of the family life/household. The focus of the study is directed to the two main issues: Firstly, discussing the impelementation of Circular letter of the General Director of Islamic Community Guidance about Bridal Candidate Courses in the Offic of Religious Affairs throughout Karawang. Secondly, discussing the of course?s Curriculum Model of Muslim Candidate bride-bridegroom. The conclusion is that the implementation of the course?s curriculum of the bride and bridegroom candidate in Religious Affairs Office Karawang wasn?t implemented yet systematically. This is due to the lack of a model or guidance that can be used as a reference in its implementation . Therefore, to response these problems, researcher offered Curriculum Model of Muslim Bridal Candidate Course based sakinah family for all KUA troughout Karawang district. Through the offer of curriculum model is expected to be a reference or guideline in conducting pre-marital education in the Office of Religious Affairs troughout Karawang.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh umur perusahaan terhadap kinerja perbankan syariah di Indonesia. Untuk membandingkan antara pengaruh umur terhadap kinerja Bank Umum Syariah (BUS) yang berasal dari Unit Usaha Syariah (UUS) dan BUS hasil konversi, pada penelitian ini dianalisis pengaruh pengalaman BUS sebagai UUS terhadap kinerja BUS. Penelitian ini menggunakan data statistik perbankan syariah di Indonesia, untuk periode 1999-2011, dengan ukuran kinerja BUS berupa rasio keuangan: profitabilitas, likuiditas dan efesiensi. Untuk menganalisis pengaruh umur terhadap kinerja BUS, digunakan model regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara umur perusahaan dan kinerja BUS, namun tidak menunjukan pengaruh signifikan antara pengalaman sebelumnya sebagai UUS terhadap kinerja Bank Umum Syariah (BUS) setelah spin-off.Kata Kunci: Pengalaman, Bank Umum Syariah, Kinerja, ROA, ROEAbstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of firm age on the performance of Islamic Banks ( BUS ) in Indonesia. To compare the effect of firm age on performance of BUS derived from UUS and BUS resulted from conversion, we analyzed the influence of experience as UUS on BUS performance. This study used statistical data of Islamic banking in Indonesia, for the period 1999-2011, with a performance measure of BUS in the form of financial ratios: profitability, liquidity and effeciency. To analyze the influence of firm age and experience to BUS performance, we use panel data regression model . The results showed that there is a significant relationship between firm age and performance of Islamic Banks, however, it did not show a significant relationship between prior experience as Islamic Business Unit (IBU) on the performance of Islamic Banks (IB ) after spin-off .Key Words: Experience, Islamic Bank, Performance, ROA, ROE

As the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has a promising potential of halal food industry in terms of economic and market values. This research aims at analyzing factors affecting consumers’ decision in purchasing MUI halal-certified food products by employing survey method and descriptive analysis approach. Three hundred respondents are selected using non-probability convenience sampling technique and are analyzed using multiple regression. The criteria of the respondents are Muslim and have bought Indonesian halal-certified food products in the last one-month. While the dependent variable in this study is purchasing decision (Y), the four independent variables are cultural and religious factors (X1), social factor (X2), personal factor (X3) and psychological factor (X4). This study finds that the four independent factors significantly influence consumers’ decision in purchasing MUI halal-certified food products. However, social factor are negatively related with the consumers’ purchasing decision. This study is expected to deliver the information on the halal food purchasing decisions from the perspective of the customers in order to provide recommendations to develop halal food industry in Indonesia.

This paper attempted to analyze the effectiveness of promotion towards the collection of Zakah fund in the process of improving poor family welfare by taking case study of Dompet Dhuafa Republika, a nationwide zakah agency. Data were collected from 100 respondents who were the Zakah payers living in the Jakarta, Depok, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi region. EPIC model and Direct Rating Method tests were conducted to examine the promotion's effectiveness. Descriptive statistic and average tests were also used as analytical tools. The results showed that the respondents perceived and believed that Zakah, infaq, and sadaqah could be used as an instrument of poverty alleviation as well as empowerment of poor families. This can be achieved when Zakah, infaq, and sadaqah are managed by trustable and professional institution. The results also showed that the promotions of Dompet Dhuafa Republike were found to be effective.

As an important and potential instrument for national development, Zakah will continue to require development innovations. One of the innovation is through cooperation between BAZNAS and Laku Pandai which aims to achieve Zakah inclusion so that the collection and distribution of Zakah in Indonesia can increase. This cooperation is still relatively young so the implementation still needs to identify the problem and strategy. This study aims to analyze the strategic priorities for BAZNAS in running cooperation with Laku Pandai. This study used SWOT-ANP method with respondents as many as five expert respondents. The strategies derived from this research are the result of the formulation of a combination of SWOT factors. The main findings of this study indicate that the main priority of the overall strategy is strengthening the synergy of BAZNAS with the Laku Pandai of sharia banking. The results of this study can be a reference for BAZNAS and Laku Pandai in formulating implementation strategies for this cooperation.DOI: 10.15408/aiq.v10i2.6943

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model regenerasi dalam Islam sebagai solusi untuk masalah di atas. Muhammad dipandang sebagai panutan pemimpin Muslim yang telah memberi kita contoh bagaimana menumbuhkan pemimpin di sebuah komunitas. Modelnya diwariskan kepada para sahabat dan pengikut sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, modelnya dalam regenerasi pemimpin dapat berfungsi sebagai model bagi para pemimpin Muslim baru-baru ini untuk mereproduksi pemimpin berkualitas tinggi. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Proses penelitian dimulai dengan pencarian judul-judul buku terkait, menentukan sumber-sumber utama tentang sejarah Islam, termasuk kehidupan nabi, para chalip dan para pemimpin muslim. Kemudian analisis dilakukan dan kesimpulan diambil. Penelitian ini juga disebut penelitian kualitatif, oleh karena itu metode kualitatif diterapkan untuk menggunakan teknik penulisan deskriptif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa, model regenerasi yang dilayani oleh nabi dan chalip penting bagi para pemimpin Muslim baru-baru ini untuk mereproduksi para pemimpin Muslim yang berkualitas tinggi. Model tersebut meliputi; regenerasi dalam Islam berdasarkan Syura, akhlak sebagai nilai dasar regenerasi, program regenerasi termasuk penghargaan, arahan, penugasan dan pemodelan atau memberi contoh yang baik adalah program utama.Kata Kunci : Islam, Kaderisasi, Kepemimpinan, Regenerasi

Working in a religion-based institution has some unique values compared to other institutions in general. These characteristics can be a distinguishing factor that influence employee performance between the two institutions that are interesting to be examined. This research focuses on analyzing the factors that influence the employee performance of Fundraising Division of the Dompet Dhuafa Amil Zakat Institution, e.g., the ability, effort, management support, internal division support, and program division support. The purposes of this research are 1) to analyze employee performance of the fundraising division; 2) to analyze factors that influence employee performance of the fundraising division and to compare the results with other institutions; and 3) to formulate the strategy to improve employee performance of the fundraising division. The data was collected using a structural questionnaire with the employee of the fundraising division as respondents. The data collected was then analyzed using descriptive analysis and Partial Least Square. The results indicate that the employee performance of the fundraising division was rated good. The effort factor, internal division support, and program division support have a significant positive effect on employee performance in the fundraising division. Leadership training, value internalization, and performance optimization are then selected as the strategies to increase employee performance of the fundraising division.Keywords: fundraising, employee performance, dompet dhuafa, PLS SEM

The research aimed at calculating the Operational Value at Risk (OpVar) in estimating the probability of the frequency of losses at Sharia Bank of XYZ, analyzing and assessing the event types of operational risks which have a great contribution in the operational losses of the bank, and determining the efficiency levels of the operational value at risk of capital charges of the bank. Measurement of operational risk in this study was conducted using the Loss Distribution Approach (LDA) Aggregated Model, as one of the Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA) models, which theoretically produces more efficient capital charges. The results showed that the contribution of the biggest losses came from the events of business disruption and system failure, execution, delivery & process management and internal fraud. The calculation of the operational risk of the bank conducted using the LDA-Aggregate produced lower capital charges than those using the Basic Indicator Approach.Keywords: Islamic bank, operational risk measurement, advanced measurement approach, loss distribution approachAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan perhitungan Operational Value at Risk (OpVaR) untuk mengestimasi peluang kejadian kerugian (probability of the frequency of losses) di bank syariah xyz; menganalisis dan mengevaluasi tipe kejadian risiko operasional yang berkontribusi besar pada kerugian operasional bank syariah xyz; menentukan besarnya tingkat efisiensi beban modal risiko operasional bank syariah xyz. Pengukuran risiko operasional dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Loss Distribution Approach (LDA) Aggregated Model sebagai salah satu internal model Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA) yang secara teori menghasilkan beban modal yang lebih efisien. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kerugian terbesar terdapat pada tipe kejadian business disruption & system failure, execution, delivery & process management dan internal fraud. Penelitian ini menganalisis peta masalah pada kegiatan manajemen wakaf tunai dan tanah/bangunan mulai dari proses manajemen penghimpunan, pengelolaan dan pengembangan, hingga penyaluran dengan pendekatan enterprise risk management (ERM) COSO. Mengidentifikasi dan mengukur setiap potensi risiko tersebut kemudian menganalis strategi mitigasi atas setiap risiko dan strategi manajemen risiko yang harus disiapkan untuk setiap kegiatan manajemen wakaf. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengukuran dan pemetaan mengacu pada Godfrey (1996). Tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan empat tahap, yaitu wawancara, kuisioner, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Studi Pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko manajemen wakaf tanah/banguanan teridentifikasi sebanyak 47 risiko, terdiri dari 21 risiko tinggi, 15 risiko sedang, dan 11 risiko rendah.Kata kunci: manajemen risiko, erm, wakaf tanah, wakaf uang, dompet dhuafa
