Abstract

The growing intensity of competition in the culinary industry demands the implementation of an integrated marketing strategy, which serves as the focus of this research. This study aims to determine the influence of digital marketing, store atmosphere, and product quality on consumer purchasing decisions at the Wizzmie Restaurant in Palu City. This study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and verification methods. Data were collected through closed questionnaires distributed to 80 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique, with the criteria being consumers who have eaten directly at the restaurant and are at least 17 years old. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to test the influence of each variable on purchasing decisions partially and simultaneously. The results show that digital marketing, store atmosphere, and product quality have a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions. Digital marketing is effective in building brand awareness and reaching a wider market. Store atmosphere provides physical and emotional comfort that encourages purchasing decisions, while product quality plays an important role in creating consumer satisfaction and loyalty. These findings indicate that strategic and sustainable integration of these three aspects can create a comprehensive consumer experience and encourage increased purchasing decision.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises in Tanjung Morawa, a semi-urban area in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, face challenges such as limited access to capital, low digital adoption, and declining sales, yet they play a vital role in the local economy. This study aims to examine the influence of financial inclusion, electronic commerce, and financial technology on the performance of these enterprises. A quantitative approach was employed, using multiple linear regression to analyze data collected from 393 respondents through questionnaires. The findings reveal that financial inclusion significantly enhances capital management, electronic commerce expands market reach, and financial technology improves transactional efficiency, collectively explaining 70.1 percent of the variation in enterprise performance. Financial technology demonstrates the strongest impact, followed by financial inclusion, while electronic commerce shows a moderate effect, reflecting local challenges like limited digital literacy. The study concludes that integrating these factors can substantially boost the competitiveness and sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises in semi-urban settings. These results highlight the need for targeted strategies to enhance financial access and digital adoption, fostering economic resilience in regions like Tanjung Morawa.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation in Indonesia requires public agencies to align human resource (HR) capabilities with e-government reforms. This study aims to develop a conceptual HR management model for the public sector to support effective e-government implementation. An exploratory qualitative approach was used, and a multi-level case study was conducted on the State Civil Service Agency (SAPK) and the Ministry of Law (SIMPEG). Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, document analysis, and field observations, then thematically analyzed using NVivo. The results highlight HR’s role as an enabler, integrator, and catalyst for change. SAPK and SIMPEG have improved efficiency, but challenges remain, including low digital literacy, resistance to change, fragmented policies, and limited regional budgets, which hinder interoperability and sustainability of public digital services. The proposed integrative HR management model comprises five pillars: digital competence, adaptive structure, digital governance, supporting infrastructure, and digital organizational culture. Policy recommendations include targeted digital training, integrated personnel systems, dedicated budget allocations, and HR regulatory reform. This model provides a strategic roadmap for national and regional agencies to develop a capable, efficient, transparent, and service-oriented bureaucracy in the digital era.

Abstract

The shipyard industry in Batam plays a vital role in supporting Indonesia's maritime economy. PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) Batam Branch, as a national classification body, faces challenges in new ship supervision, including inefficient work areas and limited surveyor resources. This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, work area efficiency, and service innovation on service loyalty through shipyard satisfaction. A quantitative method using PLS-SEM was employed, involving 129 shipyard respondents. Results show that all three independent variables significantly and positively affect satisfaction, which in turn mediates their influence on service loyalty. The results of the study indicate that service quality, work area efficiency, and service innovation significantly contribute positively to shipyard satisfaction levels, which in turn substantially influence loyalty to the service. Customer satisfaction has been proven to play a significant mediating role in bridging the influence of these three variables on loyalty. These findings support the validity of the Disconfirmation of Expectations theory and underscore the urgency of digital innovation as a strategic approach to enhancing competitive advantage. Therefore, this study recommends improving operational efficiency, conducting continuous technical training, and accelerating digital transformation as priority policies to strengthen the service performance of PT BKI Batam Branch.

Abstract

The fitness industry in Indonesia has undergone a rapid transformation, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic, which heightened public interest in health and home-based exercise. This shift has encouraged brands like Gymfitnessindo to adopt digital marketing strategies to influence consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze the impact of Electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) and Social Media Marketing (SMM) on Purchase Intention, with Customer Satisfaction as a mediating variable and ICT Effectiveness and Endorsement as moderating variables. A quantitative research design was used, collecting data from 220 respondents via purposive sampling using Google Forms. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that eWOM and SMM do not directly affect Purchase Intention. However, both significantly influence Purchase Intention indirectly through Customer Satisfaction. Conversely, ICT Effectiveness and Endorsement do not significantly moderate the relationship between Customer Satisfaction and Purchase Intention. The study concludes that digital marketing strategies are only effective in influencing Purchase Intention when mediated by Customer Satisfaction. This highlights the critical role of satisfaction in the digital purchase journey, especially in high-involvement products such as fitness equipment.

Abstract

The contribution of construction services in Indonesia is quite large, where in the first quarter of 2024 it contributed 7.59 of the total gross domestic product. In the last decade, the construction industry has undergone major changes. From the beginning, the competition was not too fierce, with a few large companies dominating the market. This industry is growing rapidly. The three main problems faced by entrepreneurs are the high level of competition, the declining demand for construction services, and the fluctuating price of building materials. The same thing happened to PT Wijaya Karya Industri & Konstruksi (WIKON), which is engaged in construction services. The decline in demand for construction services has had an impact on the acquisition of contract turnover, revenue, and profit and loss at PT WIKON has decreased from 2021 to 2023.  This research aims to identify the actors involved, to understand the interaction between actors, so that it can provide an overview or recommendations about what is needed by the company to develop the construction heavy equipment business. This study uses a business ecosystem approach with a qualitative method conducted through data collection, literature studies, and in-depth interviews to map it using the ecosystem approach.

Abstract

The advancement of technology and digitalization has broadened access to various investment instruments, driving greater participation in investment activities, especially among younger generations. This shift highlights a contrast between classical investment theory, which emphasizes rational decision-making, and real-world investor behavior often influenced by trends, emotions, and phenomena like fear of missing out. This study aims to compare the performance of Bitcoin, LQ45 index stocks, and Antam gold using recent data, including local gold prices. A comparative analysis approach is used to evaluate which investment yields the best performance. The findings, based on the Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen methods, reveal notable performance differences. Bitcoin achieved the highest Sharpe ratio, reflecting high potential returns relative to total risk, making it attractive for high-risk-tolerant investors. Antam Gold ranked highest on the Treynor ratio, indicating its strength in generating returns relative to market risk (beta), and serving as a more stable option for conservative investors. LQ45 stocks excelled using the Jensen method, showing their ability to deliver returns above market expectations, ideal for fund managers seeking to outperform benchmarks. This research reinforces the importance of aligning investment instrument choices with individual risk profiles and financial goals.

Abstract

Initial public offerings often experience underpricing, where the offering price is lower than the first-day closing price, reflecting investor demand and market dynamics in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of liquidity, profitability, leverage, company size, company age, and underwriter reputation on underpricing for companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. The research employed purposive sampling to select 224 companies meeting the criteria of underpricing, complete annual reports, and positive profits, with 193 companies included in the final analysis after data cleaning. Multiple linear regression was used to examine the relationships, supported by descriptive statistics and classical assumption tests. The findings reveal that only profitability, measured by return on assets, significantly influences underpricing, indicating that investors prioritize financial performance. Liquidity, leverage, company size, company age, and underwriter reputation show no significant individual effects, though they collectively impact underpricing. This suggests that companies with strong profitability may experience higher underpricing due to increased investor demand, offering insights for issuers to optimize financial performance before initial public offerings and for investors to focus on profitability metrics.

Abstract

Globalization and increasing workforce diversity have prompted multinational companies to adopt agile Human Resource Management (HRM) practices tailored to local cultural contexts. This study aims to examine how PT SASL and Sons Indonesia, with its multicultural workforce of expatriates and local employees, integrates agile HRM principles into the Indonesian work environment. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with 19 expatriates, analysis of internal documents, and thematic analysis using specialized software. Findings reveal that successful adaptation depends on aligning agile values of flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability with Indonesian cultural values of cooperation, harmony, and respect for hierarchy. Cross-cultural communication emerged as a crucial factor in bridging differences in values and work styles. Managerial support, mentoring, and cross-cultural training facilitated smoother organizational acculturation. Challenges identified include gender disparities in leadership and tensions between agile work principles and existing bureaucratic structures. The study concludes that agile HRM can be effectively implemented in multinational settings when adapted to local cultural norms. It offers theoretical contributions to adaptive HRM frameworks and provides practical insights for building inclusive, responsive organizations that can navigate cultural diversity while maintaining operational agility.
