Abstract

Growing investor interest in sustainable practices has pushed Indonesian private firms in the industrial gas sector to integrate environmental, social, and governance factors, corporate governance, and financial performance to attract capital. This study aims to examine how these factors influence investment decisions, using a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected from quarterly financial reports, sustainability documentation, and investment records of private firms from February to April 2025, totaling 45 observations. The findings show that financial performance, measured by profitability ratios, has the strongest impact on investment, followed by corporate governance through transparent reporting and board oversight, and environmental, social, and governance factors, all significantly affecting investment both individually and collectively. The model explains 91% of investment variation, highlighting its robustness. However, reliance on internal sustainability metrics limits comparability. Firms must balance strong financial results with governance and sustainability efforts to boost investor confidence, though standardizing metrics remains a challenge for private firms.

Abstract

The rise of TikTok as a platform for authentic, engaging content has transformed digital marketing, particularly for small and medium enterprises in Indonesia’s food and beverage sector. This study explores how these business owners use TikTok to establish themselves as micro-celebrities, fostering audience connections through fun, relatable content. The research aims to understand how storytelling and platform features enhance brand awareness and loyalty. Using an ethnographic approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with four food and beverage business owners and visual observations of their TikTok videos, focusing on accounts with significant followings. The findings reveal that authentic narratives, such as daily business activities or personal struggles, create emotional bonds with audiences, driving engagement through comments, shares, and live interactions. Unlike other platforms prioritizing aesthetics, TikTok’s emphasis on raw content empowers these owners to build personal brands cost-effectively. However, the small sample limits generalizability to other sectors. This study concludes that TikTok offers a powerful, accessible marketing tool for small businesses, enabling owners to become relatable figures who connect with audiences, ultimately enhancing brand visibility and customer loyalty in Indonesia’s competitive market.

Abstract

Optimizing e-Government has become crucial for local governments to improve public service delivery, enhance transparency, and strengthen accountability in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the influence of e-Government optimization on improving transparency and accountability in local governments in Indonesia. The research is driven by the growing importance of digital bureaucracy systems in realizing open and responsible governance. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, involving 150 respondents from five local governments that have implemented the electronic-based government for at least three years. The research instrument was developed using Electronic-Based Government System indicators and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling e-CRM Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings show that e-Government optimization has a positive and significant impact on both transparency (path coefficient = 0.67; R² = 0.58) and accountability (path coefficient = 0.72; R² = 0.64) at a 5% significance level. These results suggest that successful e-Government implementation encompassing technological infrastructure, system interoperability, managerial support, user competence, and digital service quality meaningfully contributes to information openness and public accountability. This study offers theoretical contributions to the literature on e-Governance and practical insights for local governments in designing effective, inclusive, and sustainable digital strategies.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a key agenda for organizations facing technological disruption and dynamic market demands. However, organizational readiness for transformation is highly influenced by human resource management strategies, particularly in recruiting and developing digital talent. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital recruitment strategies and digital talent development on organizational readiness for digital transformation, and to examine the mediating roles of organizational trust and employee engagement. This research adopts a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The sample consists of 150 respondents working in service and manufacturing organizations undergoing digital transformation. The findings reveal that both digital recruitment and digital talent development strategies have a positive and significant influence on organizational readiness. Moreover, organizational trust and employee engagement partially mediate the relationship between digital HR strategies and organizational readiness. These results support the resource-based view and dynamic capabilities theory, highlighting the strategic role of human capital in driving successful digital transformation. Practical implications suggest that organizations should integrate digital strategies into HR management to sustainably foster trust and engagement among employees. This study recommends policy innovations in digital HRM to enhance organizational readiness in the era of transformation.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technologies has fundamentally reshaped how products are marketed and distributed, especially in the creative industries. Traditional distribution models, which often relied on physical infrastructure and intermediaries, limited market access and incurred high costs. This study explores the role of digital distribution channel management in enhancing the marketing efficiency of creative products. As the digital landscape evolves, businesses in the creative sector face the challenge of adapting their marketing strategies to leverage digital platforms effectively. This qualitative research employs a literature review methodology to analyze various models and strategies of digital distribution channels that have proven successful in promoting creative products. The findings suggest that the integration of digital distribution channels, including social media, e-commerce, and content platforms, significantly improves marketing efficiency by expanding the reach, reducing costs, and increasing consumer engagement. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of adopting a multichannel approach to connect with diverse consumer segments, thereby maximizing the impact of marketing efforts. The research contributes to understanding the critical role of digital distribution in the modern marketing ecosystem and offers insights into how creative businesses can optimize their marketing strategies to thrive in a competitive digital economy.

Abstract

Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi, holds immense natural and cultural tourism potential, including megaliths, Lake Poso, and local traditions, yet faces challenges in effective promotion. Despite this potential, research on how green tourism marketing can address promotion gaps, sustainability issues, and competitiveness in Poso remains limited. This study aims to explore green tourism marketing strategies that optimize these assets to enhance destination competitiveness. Utilizing a qualitative library research approach, the study analyzes secondary data from journals, reports, and academic publications. Findings reveal that digital marketing through social media platforms significantly expands audience reach, effectively promoting Poso’s unique attractions. Community involvement in tourism management strengthens the local economy and preserves cultural heritage, fostering authentic tourist experiences. However, limited infrastructure, inadequate accessibility, and negative security perceptions hinder progress. The study concludes that integrating digital marketing, community participation, and sustainable practices is essential for Poso’s tourism development. Recommendations include enhancing digital promotion with engaging content, improving transportation and signage, and empowering local communities through training to manage tourism sustainably. These strategies can position Poso as a leading green tourism destination, supporting economic growth and cultural preservation.

Abstract

As the backbone of Medan’s economy, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a central role in sustaining livelihoods and driving regional growth. However, to overcome persistent challenges such as limited capital, market access, and human resource constraints, effective leadership becomes a critical factor for ensuring resilience and long-term sustainability. This study aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership in improving employee performance in the MSMEs sector in Medan City. Using a qualitative approach through case studies on several MSMEs such as Serumpun Deli, Animers Craft, Dian Kitchen, and Gallery Fika, this study found that the four main dimensions of transformational leadership, ideal influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention are able to increase employee loyalty, motivation, and productivity. These findings reinforce the theories of Bass and Avolio and show that the application of transformational leadership is effective in building an innovative and collaborative work culture. This study recommends strengthening leadership capacity in MSME actors as a strategy to increase competitiveness in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Lecturer performance is a central factor in improving the quality of higher education, as it reflects the ability of educators to fulfill the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Previous studies have often measured lecturer performance using reflective indicators, but limited research has examined performance through formative indicators, particularly in the context of private universities. This study aims to determine, analyze, and measure the direct and indirect effects of leadership, academic culture, competence, and technology mastery on lecturer performance. The research employed a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). A total of 410 lecturers from private universities in Jambi Province were selected as respondents. The analysis results showed that six of the ten proposed hypotheses were supported. Academic culture, technology mastery, and competence had significant direct effects on lecturer performance. Furthermore, academic culture and technology mastery demonstrated significant indirect effects on performance through competence. In contrast, leadership did not show a significant direct or indirect influence. The findings highlight that competence has the strongest impact on lecturer performance, with its effectiveness enhanced by supportive academic culture and technology mastery relevant to contemporary educational demands.

Abstract

Mosques have strategic potential not only as places of worship but also as centres for community economic empowerment. This study aims to analyze the potential, solutions, and strategies for strengthening mosque management in supporting the economic empowerment of surrounding communities through social and cultural approaches. The method used is the Analytic Network Process (ANP), which integrates both qualitative and quantitative approaches, including in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and questionnaires involving religious leaders, cultural experts, mosque administrators, and local business actors. The findings show that the social approach is effective in building trust and community participation, with programs such as charity distribution, healthcare services, economic training, and guidance for converts strengthening solidarity and self-reliance. The cultural approach plays a crucial role in enhancing community identity and acceptance of the mosque. The acculturation of local culture with Islamic values increases the mosque’s relevance in daily life. A successful mosque management model involves visionary leadership, financial transparency, and productive community activities such as cooperatives and MSME bazaars. This study contributes to mosque management by integrating social and cultural approaches through ANP and provides strategic guidance for mosque managers to optimize the mosque’s social, cultural, and economic functions to improve public welfare.

Abstract

Indonesia’s vast coastline and reliance on maritime sectors highlight the urgency of sustainable coastal management. Within this context, Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a crucial role in ensuring community participation and support for blue economy initiatives. This study examines community perceptions toward coastal HRM practices within blue economy initiatives in North Sumatra Province, Indonesia, using advanced natural language processing techniques. This study analyzes 4,399 text samples from community surveys, public forums, and stakeholder interviews using RoBERTa, BERT, and LSTM models to identify sentiment patterns surrounding coastal management strategies. Results show a balanced sentiment distribution: 34.7% positive, 28.9% neutral, and 36.4% negative responses. Temporal analysis reveals sentiment evolution from initial skepticism (-0.23) through consultation improvements (+0.15) to cautious optimism (+0.31) following early project benefits. Key findings indicate that while communities show potential for supporting blue economy initiatives, successful implementation requires addressing concerns about economic displacement, cultural disruption, and inadequate compensation. The study contributes a scalable NLP framework for continuous community sentiment monitoring in coastal management contexts.
