Abstract

In increasingly dynamic and technology-driven environments, healthcare professionals are required to adapt rapidly, making employee agility a critical capability. This study is to analyze the influence of employee training, organizational flexibility, and proactive personality on learning agility, as well as the impact of learning agility on employee agility. This study employs an explanatory quantitative approach, with data collected from 177 physicians in Semarang Regency using purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that employee training and organizational flexibility have significant positive effects on learning agility, and that learning agility, in turn, significantly enhances employee agility. However, proactive personality does not exhibit a significant effect on learning agility. These findings suggest that organizational factors and structured training play a more dominant role than individual characteristics in fostering adaptive capabilities among healthcare professionals. In conclusion, strengthening training programs and enhancing organizational flexibility are essential strategies for improving employee agility, particularly within highly structured and rapidly evolving healthcare environments.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and explore the digital native consumers’ purchase intention in airline services using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study examined the direct and indirect effect of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and trust on purchase intention within digital airline platforms. A quantitative research design was employed; data was collected through a structured online survey to 160 digital native respondents. Data were analyzed by SEM-PLS in SmartPLS 4. The result of analysis shows perceived ease of use and trust plays a strong and significant effect on purchase intention, while the direct influence of perceived usefulness on purchase intention is positive but not statistically significant. Both variables framework significantly enhance trust and mediate their effect on purchase intention. This study extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to digital native consumers in the airline service context. Digital native consumers evaluate technology differently from earlier generations; thus, providers and policy makers must pay attention to it. This research offers insights into how perceived ease of use and trust shape online purchase decision.

Abstract

The lease or purchase decision for heavy equipment directly affects operational efficiency in palm oil operations, including loading, material handling, and land maintenance. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing procurement decisions for wheel loaders, excavators, and skid-steer loaders, and to evaluate the cost efficiency of leasing versus purchasing at a state-owned palm oil mill in Riau Province. The research employed a mixed explanatory approach combining quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data consisted of 42 observations of hour-meter utilization and 36 months of operational cost records obtained from company documents. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with eight informants, including production managers, an operations manager, procurement department heads, a cost-planning analyst, and heavy equipment supervisors. Quantitative analysis applied the total cost of ownership and life cycle costing, while qualitative data were examined using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that wheel loaders and skid steer loaders are more cost-efficient to purchase due to their high utilization rates and lower long-term hourly costs. In contrast, excavators are more economical to lease due to intermittent use and higher maintenance risks. These findings indicate that procurement policies should consider utilization patterns, operational risks, and cost structures to enhance efficiency and operational stability.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Islamic bank financing performance on the achievement of Maqashid Shariah and economic sustainability in Indonesia during the 2020–2024 period. The study is grounded in the view that Islamic banking should not be oriented solely toward profitability, but must also fulfill broader social, ethical, and developmental objectives in accordance with Islamic principles. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The analysis was based on secondary data collected from 10 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia, annual financial reports, Financial Services Authority statistics, and Bank Indonesia publications. Financing performance was measured using indicators such as Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), Return on Assets (ROA), and Operational Efficiency Ratio (BOPO), while Maqashid Shariah was represented by the dimensions of education, justice, and public welfare, and economic sustainability was reflected in green financing, financial inclusion, and sustainable economic contribution. The results show that financing performance has a positive and significant effect on the achievement of Maqashid Shariah. Furthermore, Maqashid Shariah has a positive and significant effect on economic sustainability. The findings also confirm that Maqashid Shariah mediates the relationship between financing performance and economic sustainability. These results imply that the effectiveness of Islamic bank financing should be assessed not only through financial indicators but also through its contribution to social welfare and sustainable economic development. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic banking by integrating performance, maqashid orientation, and sustainability into a single analytical framework and offers practical implications for regulators and Islamic banking institutions in strengthening value-based financial intermediation. Abstract

Tuberculosis remains a major public health challenge, with treatment outcomes influenced by the complex interplay of environmental, socioeconomic, and health system factors. This study aims to analyze the key determinants affecting tuberculosis treatment success from a health management perspective, focusing on how contextual conditions shape patient adherence and program effectiveness. A systematic literature-based approach was employed, reviewing empirical and review articles published in peer-reviewed journals over the past decade. The analysis centered on three main aspects: environmental determinants, socioeconomic conditions, and healthcare system factors related to tuberculosis treatment outcomes. Findings indicate that poor housing conditions, air pollution, and low environmental quality increase the risk of adverse treatment outcomes. Moreover, low socioeconomic status, financial constraints, and social stigma significantly undermine patient adherence, while barriers to healthcare access, including long travel distances, inadequate infrastructure, and limited human resource capacity, exacerbate treatment failure and patient loss to follow-up. These results highlight the importance of integrated tuberculosis control strategies that extend beyond clinical interventions, encompassing strengthened service delivery, enhanced patient support mechanisms, and the integration of socioeconomic and environmental considerations. A multisectoral, patient-centered approach is essential to improve tuberculosis treatment outcomes and reduce the overall disease burden.

Abstract

Employee performance is crucial for organizational success, and understanding the factors that influence it is essential. This study examines the influence of work motivation on employee performance, with organizational commitment serving as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative research method. The research population consisted of 49 managers, and saturated sampling was used to collect data from all respondents via structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed using WarpPLS version 7.0. The findings reveal that work motivation has a non-significant direct effect on employee performance, while it has a positive and significant impact on organizational commitment. In turn, organizational commitment positively and significantly influences employee performance. Furthermore, organizational commitment effectively mediates the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, highlighting its critical role in translating motivation into improved performance outcomes. These results suggest that enhancing organizational commitment is essential for ensuring that employee motivation contributes meaningfully to performance. The study provides practical insights for management in designing targeted strategies to strengthen both motivation and commitment, ultimately fostering higher levels of employee performance in the organization.

Abstract

Changes in workforce demographics indicate that millennials now dominate the labor market, creating new challenges for organizations in retaining talent from this generation. Millennials possess distinctive characteristics, including a strong emphasis on work–life balance, meaningful work, and a work environment that supports psychological well-being. Consequently, talent retention strategies must be aligned with their values and expectations. This study aims to analyze the influence of psychological well-being and work flexibility on millennial talent retention in organizations. The research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by examining relevant journal articles, academic books, and research reports. Data were analyzed through thematic analysis to identify patterns and relationships among variables. The findings indicate that psychological well-being plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational commitment and reducing turnover intention among millennial employees. In addition, work flexibility is shown to increase job satisfaction, work–life balance, and employee loyalty. The results also reveal that the combination of psychological well-being and work flexibility produces a synergistic effect that strengthens millennial talent retention. Therefore, organizations are encouraged to integrate psychological well-being initiatives and flexible work policies into their human resource management strategies.

Abstract

Work unit performance is a critical indicator of organizational effectiveness, reflecting productivity, efficiency, and quality outcomes. Fluctuating performance trends highlight the need to examine how career scoring systems, talent management, and organizational culture interact to influence unit-level results. This study investigated how the career scoring system and talent management influence work unit performance and whether the AKHLAK culture moderates these relationships. A quantitative design was applied, and data from 64 employees were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that the career scoring system has a positive and significant effect on work unit performance, and talent management also exerts a positive and significant effect. Moderation testing confirms that AKHLAK significantly conditions both relationships, with a negative interaction on the career scoring system and a positive interaction on the talent management. The discussion emphasizes that formal human resource practices do not operate uniformly. Effectiveness depends on the extent to which AKHLAK values are internalized in everyday work behaviors, positioning organizational culture as a critical boundary condition for improving unit-level outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines how return-to-work practices are implemented for workers with acquired disabilities following work-related accidents in a remote plantation setting in Indonesia. It explores how return-to-work responsibility is enacted at the workplace level and whether existing practices align with the principles of responsible return to work in labor-intensive, geographically isolated settings. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research draws on in-depth interviews with injured workers and organizational actors, supported by workplace observations. Data were analyzed thematically using the responsible return to work framework, which encompasses legal, economic, moral, and discretionary dimensions. The findings show that return-to-work is primarily implemented as employment retention rather than meaningful reintegration. Legal and economic responsibilities emphasize procedural compliance and income continuity, while moral responsibility is framed through organizational care that often takes a paternalistic form. Discretionary responsibility is largely exercised by supervisors, leading to uneven outcomes shaped by managerial judgment and operational constraints. The study positions return-to-work as an organizational and industrial relations process influenced by power dynamics and contextual limitations, demonstrating how fragmented responsibility constrains dignity, participation, and sustainable work trajectories.

Abstract

Rapid changes in healthcare demand effective leadership and collaboration to enhance performance and service quality in hospitals. This study investigates the impact of public leadership and administrative collaboration on hospital performance, with employee job satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. The research, conducted in public hospitals in Indonesia, uses a quantitative approach with a survey method to collect data from 162 hospital employees. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS is employed for data analysis. The results show that public leadership significantly affects employee performance, while administrative collaboration strongly enhances employee job satisfaction. However, the direct impact of public leadership on employee job satisfaction is not significant, and employee job satisfaction does not significantly mediate the relationship between leadership and performance. The study also reveals that while administrative collaboration impacts employee job satisfaction, its effect on performance is not statistically significant. These findings suggest that while leadership and collaboration are vital for improving hospital outcomes, other factors should be explored to enhance performance further.
