Abstract

The integration of mathematical approaches into Islamic inheritance law (faraid) plays a crucial role in ensuring accuracy, fairness, and consistency in the distribution of inheritance; however, a systematic mapping of related research remains limited. This study aims to analyze publication trends, conceptual structures, and thematic dynamics of research adopting mathematical approaches in Islamic inheritance law during 2015–2025. A descriptive bibliometric approach was employed, utilizing selected publication metadata retrieved from Google Scholar via the Publish or Perish software and visualized using VOSviewer. The results indicate a gradual increase in publications over the last decade, although mathematical approaches have not yet become a dominant research paradigm. The conceptual structure of the literature is still largely shaped by normative and applicative orientations, with mathematics primarily functioning as a supporting instrument rather than a standalone analytical framework. Network, overlay, and density visualizations further reveal that mathematical integration is a relatively recent and developing trend, characterized by a gradual shift toward more quantitative and interdisciplinary perspectives. These findings highlight opportunities for future research to strengthen mathematics as a more substantive analytical foundation in Islamic inheritance law and to support its integration into context-based mathematics education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the crucial issue of declining Indonesian PISA scores in 2022, whichraises the urgency to evaluate and understand the disparity in mathematical literacy skills acrosseducational levels. The purpose of this study is to comparatively analyze the cognitive error profilesand mathematical reasoning of junior high and senior high school students in Makassar in solvingmathematical literacy problems equivalent to PISA Level 6. This study uses a qualitativedescriptive method through a comparative case study design. The research subjects consisted ofninth-grade students from two public junior high schools and tenth-grade students from one publicsenior high school in Makassar City. Data were collected using a written essay test instrumentthat adapted the PISA 2022 framework for the content of Quantity, Uncertainty and Data, andChange and Relationships. The written data were then analyzed using a modified Newman ErrorAnalysis procedure. The results highlight significant ability disparities and several cognitiveproblems: (1) at the junior high school level, students tend to stall and make literal errors at thecomprehension and transformation stages; (2) At the high school level, although there is progressin average conceptual understanding, students experience stagnation in critical data literacyevaluation competencies. This finding leads to the conclusion that the pattern of students' writtenerrors indicates the fossilization of misconceptions, where errors in mathematical understandingare not corrected and continue to be carried over from elementary to secondary education.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an individual's capacity to formulate, employ, and interpret mathematics to solve problems in various life contexts. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical literacy skills, specifically in statistics, covering data measures of central tendency and diagram interpretation. The research problem focuses on the extent of students' achievement in meeting literacy indicators and the obstacles encountered in the statistical problem-solving process. The method employed is library research with a qualitative descriptive data analysis technique to examine various relevant literatures. The results indicate that the majority of students' literacy skills fall into the low to moderate category. Although subjects are capable of performing mechanical calculations, significant constraints exist in transforming data into relevant information, misconceptions in visual data, and an inability to communicate solution procedures systematically. Overall, a clear gap was identified between basic procedural mastery and the ability to interpret results in real-world contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the personalized system of instruction (PSI) Method on the understanding of mathematical concepts of class XI MPLB students of SMKN 1 Tinambung. This type of research is a quantitative study with quasy eksperimental design methode with a nonequivalent control group design, the sampling technique is purposive sampling. This research was conducted at SMKN 1 Tinambung in the 2025/2026 academic year with class XI MPLB 1 as the control class and XI MPLB 2 as the experimental class. Research data were collected using a mathematical concept understanding ability test and observation sheets. Research data analysis consisted of descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the average test score for students' mathematical concept understanding ability in the experimental class is in the good category, while the average test score for students' mathematical concept understanding ability in the control class is in the sufficient category. The results of the inferential analysis using the t test (independent sample t test) showed that there was an effect of the personalized system of instruction (PSI) method on the understanding of mathematical concepts of class XI MPLB students of SMKN 1 Tinambung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan aplikasi Photomath terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Praya Tahun Ajaran 2025/2026. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) melalui desain posttest only control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas. Kelas VIII.3 ditetapkan sebagai kelas kontrol yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan PBL tanpa Photomath. Kelas VIII.4 ditetapkan sebagai kelas eksperimen yang mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan PBL berbantuan Photomath. Setiap kelas terdiri dari 35 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi belajar dan tes prestasi belajar (posttest), serta didukung observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa yang menggunakan PBL berbantuan Photomath lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang menggunakan PBL tanpa bantuan Photomath, yaitu  dan rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa yang menggunakan PBL berbantuan Photomath lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang menggunakan PBL tanpa bantuan Photomath yaitu . Uji-t menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada motivasi dan prestasi belajar dengan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar . Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa PBL berbantuan Photomath efektif terhadap motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa. Abstract

Contextual learning is directly related to real phenomena. This motivates students to learn more actively, encourages them to think critically, and makes the knowledge learned more meaningful and easy to apply in everyday life. In fact, in learning, students only see, hear and write materials so that learning outcomes are low. This study aims to empirically test the effect of the contextual learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMPN 22 Mataram in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The subjects in this study were class VIII students at SMPN 22 Mataram who were distributed into 2 groups of 43 people, each VIII A with 21 people and VIII B with 22 people. Data collection was carried out using learning outcome tests and student and teacher observation guidelines. The data analysis technique used was the independent sample t test (polled variance). The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant influence of the contextual learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMPN 22 Mataram in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. This is indicated by a statistically significant average difference between the two groups with a t-test value of 6.875 > t table 1.681 significance of 0.000 < 0.05. The category of contextual learning influences learning outcomes very significantly with an effect size of 5.74 > 0.8. The results of this study are expected to not only be a theoretical study, but can be implemented in real terms as an applicable solution in overcoming problems in mathematics learning.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that affects the lungs and can spread through the air. Indonesia ranks second globally, contributing approximately 10% of the total TB cases worldwide. The Province of Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) has been recorded as having a high number of TB cases, with the City of Mataram being one of the areas with the highest incidence. Although TB can be cured through anti-tuberculosis drug (OAT) treatment for six months, the success rate of this treatment has declined since 2016. Several factors such as age, gender, education level, and other health conditions may influence treatment success. Therefore, evaluating treatment outcomes is very important, including monitoring the results of treatment to determine whether the treatment is successful or unsuccessful. In order to classify TB treatment failure, an effective statistical method that can be used is Multivariate Adaptive Regression Splines (MARS). MARS is a flexible nonparametric regression method capable of handling high-dimensional data, making it very useful for classifying data with many predictor variables. This study aims to classify TB treatment failure in the City of Mataram using the MARS method, with the expectation of improving treatment success in the region. Based on the analysis using the MARS method, the type of TB (X₅) was found to be the main determining variable of treatment outcomes, with a fairly good overall classification accuracy of 80%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how junior high school students express their ideas when solving problems related to the System of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV). Mathematical Representation Ability is essentially a "bridge" for students to transform difficult and abstract mathematical concepts into more real and simple forms, whether through images, symbolic formulas, or written explanations. SLETV was chosen due to its characteristics that involve complex word problems, requiring students to be proficient in converting long narratives into correct mathematical models. Through a literature review method analyzing various previous research findings, it was found that students' representation abilities are heavily influenced by their basic mathematical proficiency levels. High-achieving students are generally proficient in using symbols and graphs, yet they still face challenges in providing narrative explanations for their reasoning. Meanwhile, low-achieving students and slow learners show significant obstacles in initiating problem-solving, thus requiring specific assistance or scaffolding.

Abstract

Differential Calculus courses at the Mathematics Education Study Program of Institut Turatea Indonesia face challenges including low conceptual understanding and limited student interaction due to teacher-centered learning. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the STAD-type cooperative learning model in improving students' interpersonal skills and academic achievement in Differential Calculus. A quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design was employed, involving 17 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using academic achievement tests, an interpersonal skills questionnaire, learning implementation and student activity observation sheets, and a student response questionnaire, then analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Paired Sample t-test, and effect size calculation (Cohen's d). The results showed that learning implementation was accomplished (mean = 3.49) with excellent student activity (mean = 3.80). Cooperative learning had a significant effect on academic achievement (t = −19.439; p < 0.001; d = 4.02) and interpersonal skills (t = −12.286; p < 0.001; d = 2.50), both classified as very large effect. Students demonstrated positive responses with a mean score of 3.41. These findings indicate that the STAD-type cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' interpersonal skills and academic achievement in Differential Calculus.

Abstract

GoPay is an electronic wallet service that can be used to pay for a number of Gojek app services. As the number of users increases, reviews on the Google Play Store have emerged as an important data source regarding the level of satisfaction with the app. Therefore, based on existing review data, sentiment analysis can be used to find trends in user opinions. The purpose of this study is to compare the performance of the Support Vector Machine and Naïve Bayes algorithms in classifying the sentiment of GoPay app user reviews. This research method uses the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) framework which has 6 stages in the process, namely data selection, preprocessing, transformation, data mining, evaluation, and knowledge presentation. All stages of analysis were carried out using Google Colab with the help of the python programming language. The results show that the SVM method has better performance than the Naïve Bayes method. SVM produces an accuracy value of 78.31%, precision of 78.48%, and recall of 78.31%, while Naïve Bayes produces an accuracy of 64.74%, precision of 63.79%, and recall of 95.80%. Although Naïve Bayes has a higher recall value, over all the SVM method shows more optimal performance in classifying the sentiment of GoPay app user reviews.
