Abstract

The aims of this research is to find out the phenomenon of Islamic education in Muslim countries. In general, Islamic education is education that is oriented towards the teachings of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet saw. Islamic education is not only taught in the formal legal system which is carried out regularly but becomes a teaching that must be implemented in social life. In Muslim countries, Islamic Education is used as a formal education that must be completed based on government regulations. It is undeniable that Islamic education in Muslim countries has adopted a system of modernity so that Islamic education is oriented towards fulfilling physical needs. However, with this modernity, Islamic Education takes on a role as a practical function in realizing Islamic teachings as the absolute truth of Allah SWT.

Abstract

This study explores the transformative impact of literacy programs in underserved villages, employing a qualitative methodology to analyze the experiences of participants and stakeholders. Through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observations, the research examines how literacy initiatives contribute to individual empowerment and community development. The findings reveal that such programs not only enhance reading and writing skills but also foster social cohesion, economic opportunities, and a sense of agency among community members. The study underscores the importance of culturally relevant and community-driven approaches in designing and implementing effective literacy interventions.

Abstract

This article investigates the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as a pedagogical strategy to cultivate critical thinking skills among junior high school students. Utilizing a qualitative research design, the study synthesizes insights from recent research and theoretical frameworks published within the last five years, employing classroom observations, interviews, document analysis, and focus groups to gather comprehensive data. The analysis highlights PBL's effectiveness in fostering critical thinking through student-centered, inquiry-based learning processes, emphasizing improvements in analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative communication. Key findings reveal that while PBL significantly enhances these skills, successful implementation is contingent upon addressing challenges related to teacher preparedness, time constraints, uneven student participation, and resource limitations. Strategies such as targeted professional development for teachers, structured scaffolding for students, and leveraging technology are discussed as potential solutions. The article concludes with recommendations for educators and policymakers, advocating for systemic changes to support widespread adoption of PBL and promote a shift towards more engaging, student-centered learning environments. This research contributes to the ongoing dialogue on innovative teaching practices that equip students with the essential skills needed for success in the 21st century.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the flipped classroom model using YouTube content to enhance independent learning among Indonesian high school students in the digital era. A qualitative research approach was employed, drawing on interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis to comprehensively examine students' experiences and challenges . The research investigates the perceived benefits of this approach . The findings indicate that integrating YouTube-based flipped classrooms fosters greater student autonomy, motivation, and engagement . Students can control the pace and timing of their content engagement, enhancing their responsibility for their learning . The use of multimedia content makes learning more appealing, leading to higher levels of participation and interest . Classroom sessions shift towards collaborative problem-solving and discussions. Challenges related to internet access, digital literacy, and the varying quality of YouTube materials remain . Teachers also need support in curating and integrating digital content effectively . Addressing these challenges is essential for maximizing the impact of flipped classrooms . Future research should explore scalable strategies for teacher training and digital resource development to support integrating flipped classrooms in diverse educational contexts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dan Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika. Melalui metode studi literatur dengan analisis isi terhadap artikel yang relevan, ditemukan bahwa kombinasi NHT dan PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika, motivasi, keterampilan berpikir kritis, serta komunikasi matematis siswa. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kedua model ini mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam pembelajaran kooperatif dan pemecahan masalah kontekstual. Meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan implementasi seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kesiapan guru, hasil kajian ini memperkuat bukti bahwa NHT dan PBL merupakan pendekatan yang adaptif dan efektif di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Rekomendasi diberikan untuk pelatihan guru, penyediaan sarana pendukung, serta strategi diferensiasi untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan implementasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Efektivitas Model Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada siswa Kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang fokus pada Efektivitas Model Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto yang terbagi menjadi 8 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 252 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII.1 berjumlah 31 orang siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan mempertimbangkan bahwa siswa tersebut pernah diajar menggunakan Model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dokumentasi, wawancara dan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang diperoleh dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan pendekatan Quantum Teaching untuk siswa kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto memenuhi kriteria efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan model advance organizer pada pengajaran langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu yang terdiri dari tiga kelas dengan jumlah siswa 67 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII.A 20 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.B 23 orang sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif mengungkapkan bahwa skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 22,30 dengan standar deviasi 4,207 dan skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas kontrol adalah 18,84 dengan standar deviasi 4,122. Hasil analisis inferensial mengungkapkan bahwa nilai sign. (2-tailed) = , dengan demikian hipotesis ditolak dan diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu pada materi relasi dan fungsi yang diajar menggunakan model advance organizer pada model pengajaran langsung dan yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode konvensional pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model advance organizer pada pengajaran langsung dapat digunakan dalam pengajaran matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

Background: The digital divide in Indonesia's underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) regions creates significant challenges for mathematics education in elementary schools. Traditional teaching methods often fail to engage students, resulting in low learning motivation and poor academic outcomes. Objective: This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of 'EduGame Mathematics,' a gamification-based mobile learning application designed to enhance learning interest among elementary school students in 3T regions. Methods: A quantitative experimental research design was employed using a pretest-posttest control group design. The study involved 120 elementary school students (grades 4-6) from three schools in 3T regions, randomly assigned to experimental (n=60) and control (n=60) groups. Data collection instruments included learning motivation questionnaires, mathematics achievement tests, and application usability assessments. Statistical analysis was conducted using independent t-tests and paired t-tests with SPSS 25.0. Results: The experimental group demonstrated significantly higher learning motivation scores compared to the control group (M=85.4, SD=8.2 vs M=68.7, SD=9.1; t(118)=10.45, p<0.001). Mathematics achievement scores showed substantial improvement in the experimental group, with a mean increase of 24.3 points (from 62.1 to 86.4), while the control group showed minimal improvement of 5.2 points (from 61.8 to 67.0). The application received high usability ratings (M=4.31/5.0) and demonstrated strong acceptance among students and teachers. Conclusion: The EduGame Mathematics application effectively enhances learning interest and achievement among elementary school students in 3T regions. The gamification approach successfully addresses educational challenges in resource-constrained environments, providing a scalable solution for improving mathematics education quality in remote areas of Indonesia.
