Abstract

Batik coloring still uses synthetic dyes, so the disposal of coloring waste should not be careless. Most batik craftsmen process their batik waste by settling the waste liquid for a long time. The process is very ineffective. The purpose of this research is to design a batik processing tool that is cheap and effective. The research method uses the electrocoagulation method. The electrocoagulation method is an electrochemical water treatment. The design of this batik waste treatment tool consists of five parts including: (1) Electrocoagulation Tub, (2) Skimmer, (3) Electrode, (4) Sand Filter, and (5) Studge Drying Bed. This tool works with 900 watts of power with an output of 20-40 volts DC. The capacity of liquid waste is 50 liters. Duration of waste treatment for 2 hours. The electrocoagulation method is able to reduce the values of BOD5, COD, TSS, and TDS in batik dye waste. The pH of wastewater which is still high can be reduced by giving alum.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of modification of the Honda Tiger 2000 on exhaust emissions of CO and HC. The method used is to modify the carburettor venturi piston and replace the rocker arm with a roller rocker arm. The exhaust emission test used a gas analyzer type SUKYOUNG SY-GA 401. The object of the study was a Honda Tiger 2000 motorcycle. The results showed that modification of the Honda Tiger 2000 motorcycle at idle, 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm, and 2000 rpm increased CO emissions but reduced HC emissions. Based on comparing the motorcycle emission threshold values for manufacture ≤ 2010, namely CO emissions exceeding 5.5% and HC emissions less than 2400 ppm. Pertamax Turbo fuel consumption is more efficient than Pertalite with a distance ratio of 45 km requiring 1L Pertamax Turbo and 1.4L Petalite.

Abstract

Heart disease is one of the deadliest diseases in and is the number one killer in the world so many studies are carried out to contribute to predicting a person's heart disease. This study aims to help create an early heart disease prediction model from the UCI Machine Learning Repository dataset. The method proposed in this study is a deep learning technique that applies an artificial neural network algorithm with a hidden layer technique in making a heart disease prediction model. This research stage found problems in improving the accuracy of the datasets used by dealing with problems in pre-processing data, such as missing data and determining the form of data correlation. The model was then tested through a heart disease dataset and yielded 90% accuracy. With the creation of this prediction model with python programming, it is hoped that in addition to helping to make disease predictions, it can also provide further innovations in data science in the health sector.

Abstract

This research designs and builds a special website for photography galleries, where this application is made to help and make it easier for photographers to store and exhibit photography widely via online media. So far, the storage media for exhibiting photographers' results is still conventional, for example exhibitions of certain photographers' artworks or special events. This makes it difficult for art enthusiasts or novice photographers to see or display their photography results. The website design uses the waterfall method and uses HTML, CSS programming language tools with the TailwindCSS framework, PHP, and MySQL as the database.

Abstract

The use of providers can increase customer satisfaction and the development of various future features. Performing network performance is the main thing that must be considered in network management. Sriwijaya State Polytechnic has several buildings, and many students, lecturers and academic staff. Each individual uses a provider on a mobile phone to communicate. The reason researchers measured the signal quality of Telkomsel, XL and H3I providers using the G-Nettrack Pro application is based on the parameters measured to determine the service's quality. The best RSRP measurement results from XL providers on the first day, with a consequence of -77.5 dBm. The lowest RSRQ value measurement was found on the first day of the H3I provider, with a value of -37.25 dB. The highest SNR value measurement was found on the first day, with a result of 7.56 dB.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce a flood alert system that can monitor water-levels in watersheds based on the Internet-of-Things (IoT), using the NodeMCU ESP8266 as a microcontroller and connecting internet connections. The main hardware used was a probe sensor as a water-level detector, an LED as a water level indicator, an LCD displaying the water level status, and a nodeMCU ESP8266 as a processor for the probe sensor detection results and sending information on the water-level status to the Telegram on Android. The status consisted of a safe level when the water level was at 1.5 m, an alert status was at 2 m, and a hazard status was at 3 m. When the water surface touched the probe sensor, nodeMCU ESP8266 read and processed the detection results. Then the status information was sent to Telegram and displayed on the LCD.

Abstract

The management system at the Rancaekek DTP Health Center is still processed manually, so it is less effective and efficient. Officers are still experiencing difficulties in collecting data. The purpose of this research is to facilitate the management of office stationery. The result of this study is a desktop-based office stationery management information system application at the Rancaekek DTP Public Health Center in Bandung Regency. The data processing method in this study used qualitative and the waterfall software development method, with Analysis and Design tools using UML (Unified Modeling Language), language visual basic programming and Microsoft Access database. The developed application is informative. Login and password will ensure data confidentiality and an attractive interface. We hope this application can speed up the process of managing office stationery and reduce errors of using a manual system, so that reports can be properly accounted.

Abstract

In this study, a multisensor wireless medical device was designed using several sensors, such as body temperature, oxygen levels, blood pressure, and heart rate, that connects to the application and applies WBAN technology. The design of this tool applied the principle of IoT, where a system that can monitor body health is needed, a remote monitoring system on the smartphone. The data obtained by the tool is sent to the server to be later forwarded to the application. In this study, Fuzzy Mamdani's method was used to implement the health status. The IoT principle makes it effortless for users to access or use pre-designed tools. Therefore, in this study, the IoT principle is employed to make it more efficient and easier for users to read the results because the data will be forwarded to applications installed on users' smartphones, both Android and iOS-based.

Abstract

An academic information system is a system designed to process educational data. IGracias Mobile is a theoretical information system application that can be used flexibly by Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology students. iGracias aims to provide information about lectures to students. iGracias can be downloaded via google playstore. Based on a questionnaire involving students of the Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology, they found several problems with the iGracias application so that it could be maximized to provide lecture information to students. Based on the evaluation of the current design using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, the contemporary design has a score of 58, which is classified as grade D with a bad adjective rating, so the design needs to be improved. The method used to develop and develop the user interface design on the iGracias Mobile application is the Usability Testing method with a user-centred Design approach. The results obtained from this study are a new design for the iGracias Mobile application, which was made based on the respondents' suggestions and the steps involved in the UCD method. This research found that the new design's usability value has increased from 58 to 80.8, which is included in grade A with an adjective rating of excellent. Then the new design can overcome the problems in the iGracias Mobile application.
