Abstract

The incidence of road accidents is quite high. This is due to driver negligence. Based on these problems, a driving accident detection system was created. The system uses vibration sensors, tilt sensors, and pressure sensors as inputs to detect driving accidents. The system is supported by an Arduino uno kit with an R3 SMD microcontroller as the brain to process data from vibration, tilt, and pressure sensors, and is equipped with GPS and ESP32. Then, the output to ESP32 will send notification information to Telegram by detecting GPS, so that it will automatically send notification of driving accident coordinates. From the making of this system, it can be concluded that, if a driving accident occurs, it will automatically send information directly to the victim's family quickly. The system will work if the sensor is detected and will send data to the phone number stored in the database. So that victims can be handled more quickly to avoid casualties.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has increased efficiency in human activities while also escalating electricity consumption, especially with the implementing of the Industry 4.0 revolution in Indonesia. To enhance the use of renewable energy, IoT technology is employed to optimize system performance with real-time data and remote control. In the second-floor laboratory of campus c Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic, there are frequent power outages due to simultaneous use of the lab. The advantage of using this energy is that PLN electrical sources can be replaced using solar panels. This research integrates renewable energy with IoT to improve laboratory electricity usage efficiency. An ESP32-based solar panel is used to collect and control energy data. Successful testing demonstrates the ability of this system, with a 67% utilization of renewable energy. The solar cell requires attention from hardware devices. The integration of renewable energy with Telegram is efficient and can be applied to another system.

Abstract

Currently, air quality monitoring is only through satellites, so this monitor is only general; even though sometimes we need an air quality monitor to measure air quality in the room or gas emissions in motor vehicles and factories, this research uses an MQ135 sensor to measure CO2 gas emissions, a DHT11 sensor to measure humidity and a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller as the central brain. The system is designed to provide accurate and efficient air quality monitoring through the Internet of Things (IoT). They are integrating Blynk as a mobile device monitoring application that offers easy access to real-time air quality data. The Blynk interface allows users to monitor air conditions easily, receive notifications, and access data history. Based on the experimental results and the accuracy of the integrated temperature measurement, the system provides a reliable solution for comprehensive air quality monitoring in various environments.

Abstract

Research has focused on a wind turbine system with a vertical-axis Darrieus design with a capacity of 15 watts, serving as an aerator for aeration or adding air to water. The Darrieus turbine, made of aluminium with three corners and a modified NACA 0018 model optimized to work at low wind speeds of 2 m/s, effectively powers a 4-watt DC aerator. Generator voltage readings show a minimum value of 2 volts at a wind speed of 1 m/s and a maximum value of 12.8 volts at a wind speed of 6.2 m/s. The calculated power coefficient is 0.3. Charging the accumulator with a 12 volts/12 Ah takes 23 hours with a generator voltage of 13 volts at a wind speed of 6 m/s. This research reflects Indonesia's progress in optimizing wind energy for sustainable power generation.

Abstract

One of the efforts to prevent fires is by providing occupational health and safety (K3) learning. In the learning process, the material is only in videos and power points about fire prevention and control. Conversely, students more easily understand contextualized material. One of them is an automatic fire extinguisher simulation. This simulation uses a fire sensor as its input, Arduino uno as its control, and a relay as an output from Arduino. This learning media was tested on 40 people with backgrounds as students and employees. Based on the results of this learning media trial, the average questionnaire assessment reached 87.6%, so this learning medium is effective as a learning medium for fire extinguisher simulation.

Abstract

People spend a lot of time with gadgets every day, and it cannot be denied that gadgets can facilitate people's activities in various fields. However, even though gadgets are very helpful, there are digital crimes that we must be aware of. One case that has received a lot of attention is the method of providing online invitations and package delivery receipts in the form of malware spread via the WhatsApp chat application. This has caused many losses, such as losing money in banking and also confidential data being accessed by criminals. The aim of this research is so that the public can anticipate this crime. Researchers use the Reverse Engineering method to find out the process, patterns, design, and how a program works in detail. The results obtained from this research are that there are many hacker attacks in the form of malware applications. This malware application will run when the victim downloads, installs, and grants access permission to the application. So people should always be alert and careful when using gadgets in everyday life.

Abstract

The research aims to design a system to repel rice pests in rice fields by moving the scarecrow using a servo motor while sounding the speaker according to the infrared signal detection from the PIR sensor. The research method used is the waterfall method, and the research implementation time is approximately three months, starting from the proposal seminar. The rice pest repellent test was carried out by testing the reading of the infrared signal received by the PIR sensor, then moving the servo and turning on the speaker to repel bird pests in the rice fields
