Abstract

Hydroponic system is a technique of cultivating plants without using soil as a growing medium, but using water that is given nutrients and oxygen as a growing medium. Cultivation with hydroponic techniques must be able to pay attention and control nutrients, water content, and water ph. This research aims to create a lettuce cultivation system with intelligent hydroponic techniques using the ATmega2560 microcontroller. This system uses Arduino Mega as the control center, TDS sensor to monitor nutrition, PH sensor to monitor water acidity, and ultrasonic sensor to monitor water level. The optimal growth characteristic of lettuce is that the acidity level must be at pH 5.5-6.5 with the nutrients provided at 685-950 ppm. This system can help lettuce cultivation with hydroponic techniques by monitoring and controlling nutrients, pH, and water content in cultivated plants in real time to optimize lettuce growth.

Abstract

The drying process of pepper seeds is still done by relying on sunlight, whereas rainy weather conditions will greatly slow down drying. Drying using an oven is done to make the pepper cleaner from dirt and efficient against the time of drying the pepper, For this reason, an oven is needed to dry pepper seeds so as not to be too dependent on weather conditions. This oven heating system uses LPG gas, a hygrometer used to estimate temperature and humidity, and a thermostat to regulate the room temperature in the oven, also equipped with an automatic lighter to make it easier to start the fire in the oven. The dried peppers that have been tested ranging from 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, 80°C, and 90°C are all dry with the longest duration of 99 minutes and the fastest time of 15 minutes.

Abstract

One of the essential passive devices is the Bandpass Filter. Since the frequencies used for this technology are diverse and each frequency has different characteristics that can affect signal quality, the Bandpass Filter is employed to filter the signals received by the antenna, ensuring that only the desired frequency signals are processed. Within the mm Wave range, 26 GHz and 28 GHz emerge as the two most relevant bands. Therefore, this paper presents the design of a schematic for a Bandpass Filter operating at mm-wave frequency (28 GHz) using Lumped-Distributed Parameters. The schematic is created using system design software, employing a standard normalized 5-pole/5th order prototyped Lowpass Chebyshev combined with a standard formalized 3-pole/3rd order prototyped Lowpass Chebyshev to control the desired bandwidth according to the design parameters. The designed Bandpass Filter at 28 GHz exhibits a Return Loss value of -281.579 dB, an Insertion Loss of -1.929E-15 dB, and a desired Bandwidth of 1 GHz

Abstract

This study aims to analyze changes in valve clearance on engine power and torque. The subjects in this study were four-stroke motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 100 cc. The stages of the research included: 1) Preparation by adjusting the size of the inlet and outlet valve gaps with the dimensions in millimeters being 0.03, 0.05, and 0.07; 2) Testing using a dyno test; 3) The conclusion is based on the results of the dyno test tool print out data. Research results: 1) The maximum engine power achieved at the valve clearance size of 0.03 mm and 0.05 mm is 4.5 hp. Maximum engine power at 0.03 mm valve clearance is achieved at 6.42 rpm, while 0.05 mm valve clearance is achieved at 6.39 rpm; 2) The highest maximum engine torque among the three variations in valve clearance size, is 0.03 mm, which is 5.92 N.m at 3.081 rpm; 3) The size of the valve gap that is not by the standard specifications will significantly affect the power and torque of the engine.

Abstract

The website is one of the information systems that must exist in the education organization. The website is designed and built to be one of the means of delivering practical information and as a means of promotion for schools. This research uses the Waterfall method, which is included in the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method category. The SDLC method refers to developing software systems using models based on well-tested methods. The waterfall method is generally used in software development, which begins with analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and maintenance. The result of designing the SMK website is implementing a website all users can access to get the information. In addition, the website is expected to help schools as an effective promotional media.

Abstract

Sugar producers can extend their sugar companies by expanding into non-sugar products. A sugarcane-based company that focuses on product diversification is electricity generation from bagasse. As the principal energy source, the cogeneration system progressively creates two distinct forms of energy (mechanical energy and thermal energy). Krebet Baru 2's sugar factory has a capacity of 5,200 TCD. Under some conditions, it can generate up to 1.5 MW of additional Power. This research aims to investigate the link between capacity and cogeneration efficiency. As a result, extra electricity may be generated forever. According to the data, capacity did not influence cogeneration efficiency. Excess Power may be acquired by optimizing steam usage, assessing inefficient energy sources, and utilizing high-pressure steam production facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to implement a convolution neural network algorithm to detect empty parking areas based on Raspberry Pi 4 and use the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method of the YOLO V5 model. This research consists of several stages, starting from the potential and problem stages, needs analysis, literacy studies, building prototypes, system design, and system testing. The datasets collected were taken using smartphone cameras and webcams with a total of 645 image datasets which were divided into two categories, namely training data and validation. System testing is carried out in two conditions, namely during the day and at night. The results of the detection test for observing variations in the position of filled and unfilled vehicles obtained the highest average accuracy during daytime conditions, while for observing cars entering and leaving the parking lot during day and night conditions, the results were the same percentage of success.

Abstract

This study designed and built a parking information system at the Langsa City General Hospital with the aim of facilitating the management of incoming and outgoing vehicle data at the Langsa City General Hospital parking lot in Aceh. With the rapid advancement of technology, previous data management was still done manually, so it was not effective and efficient, and officers found it very difficult to know the data of incoming and outgoing vehicles. Researchers designed a computer-based information system to facilitate the management of the parking system. Methods of data collection using descriptive qualitative methods, namely observation, interviews, and literature study, and software development methods using the waterfall as well as the PHP programming language and the MYSQL database The information system created aims to make it easier for officers to manage vehicle entry and exit data at the Langsa City Regional General Hospital in Aceh.

Abstract

Analysis of this air induction system testing aims to analyze the air induction system on Daihatsu Xenia types XI in 2011. The research uses descriptive methods by testing and analyzing Daihatsu Xenia Type XI Mobils in 2011 using the EFI X 431 Pro and multitester scanner to obtain research data. The test results show that: 1. The sensor map is in good condition because the voltage produced ? 3.5 V - 4 V is: 3.7 V. 2. The sensor is in poor condition because the resistance produced is ? 2.21 k ohm - 2,69 K Ohm, namely: 1.74 KOHM. 3. ISC in poor condition because the resistance produced ? 45.6 ohms - 50.4 ohms is: 43.2 ohms. Testing using Scantool Obtained Results: 1. Map sensor has decreased at rpm 2000 of 2 kPa and has increased in rpm 3000 of 2 kPa. 2. IAT Sensors at 1000, 2000 and 3000 RPMs are stable at 480C. 3. ISC at rpm 1000, 2000, and 3000 stable at 6.99 %.
