Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of kicking the ball using the inside of the foot in a soccer game using the discovery learning. This research is classroom action research (CAR). Data collection consists of four stages, namely planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The number of samples was 15 people, namely class Va MIN 4. Data collection techniques were carried out by direct field tests starting from skills, attitudes, and knowledge. From the first cycle interval data, students who scored less than KKM 70 resulted in 12 students completing, 3 students not completing. From the description of learning outcomes, students get 80% completeness. The second cycle the researchers managed to improve by implementing the discovery learning of soccer material using the inner foot of the learning outcomes by motivating students according to the student's condition at that time, the result was 15 students in the complete category and 0 students incomplete or the percentage being 100%. Based on the data for each cycle and the discussion of the research results, it can be concluded that the application of the discovery to physical education subjects with the material of kicking a ball using the inside of the foot in soccer games can improve student learning outcomes. This is indicated by the increase in the results of research that has been carried out from cycle I and cycle II, namely 100%. by applying the learning model of discovery learning.

Abstract

For an athlete, physical and technical exercise is something that must be done every day in order to be able to increase the ability and strength of the athlete. Unfortunately, unexpectedly, the COVID-19 virus outbreak that hit especially in Indonesia in 2020 made all activities have to be done at home. Studying, working, worshiping, even practicing sports are required from home. With this changing situation, the Indonesian National Sports Committee (abbreviated as KONI) as the only organization that is responsible for managing, fostering, developing & coordinating the entire implementation of the sporting achievements of each member in Indonesia must find a way out so that all athletes immediately adapt and are able to run exercise program properly while maintaining their physical fitness in the midst of the current Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic. With the change in the way of training online, KONI hopes that it can run well while seeing how it impacts the mentality of each athlete. The purpose of this study is to see how the exercise mechanism of the athletes, even in a completely different way, still meets the targets that have been set by each coach.

Abstract

Learning achievement is the responsibility of teachers and the government, therefore everything that can encourage learning achievement must be considered and improved. Physical activity, BMI, physical fitness are several factors that influence learning achievement. The aim of this research is to determine the level of relationship between physical activity, BMI, and fitness and the learning achievement of class X students at SMKN 2 Malang. The research method used is a survey research method with a correlational research type. To determine the sample size, the researcher used the Slovin formula with an error rate of 10% with a class X student population of 656 students, so the sample size was 89 students. Because class X students are divided into 19 classes and so that each class has the same opportunities, the author uses the Proportional Random Sampling technique. IPAQ-SF to measure physical activity, IMT/U to measure BMI, and TKSI to measure physical fitness. The research results showed that physical activity was not significantly related to learning achievement with a P-Value of 0.809 > 0.05. BMI is not significantly related to learning achievement with P-Value 0.194 > 0.05. Physical fitness does not have a significant relationship with learning achievement, P-Value 0.893 > 0.05

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ physical fitness and social intelligence through the implementation of a hybrid model combining Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU) and Fitness Education. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 28 fifth-grade students at SDPN 252 Setiabudi. Each cycle consisted of three stages: two learning interventions and one evaluation. Instruments used in the study included the Indonesian Students' Physical Fitness Test (TKSI) and the Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS). The results showed that the hybrid TGFU and Fitness Education model progressively improved students’ physical fitness levels from lower to higher categories. In the pre-cycle stage, low categories such as "very poor" and "poor" comprised 40% of students, 46% were in the "moderate" category, 14% in the "good" category, and none in the "excellent" category. After the second cycle, only 4% of students remained in the low categories, 11% were in the "moderate" category, while the "good" and "excellent" categories increased to 46% and 43%, respectively. In terms of social intelligence, students initially already demonstrated relatively high levels. In the pre-cycle, no students were categorized as "very poor" or "poor", 25% were in the "fair" category, 75% in the "good" category, and none in the "excellent" category. By the end of the second cycle, the percentage of students in the "good" category rose to 79%, "excellent" to 14%, and "fair" decreased to only 7%. In conclusion, the hybrid model of TGFU and Fitness Education proved effective in enhancing both the physical fitness and social intelligence of elementary school students.
