Abstract

Eccentrically Braced Frames (EBF) have been used as earthquake suppression systems, especially in buildings. This system relies on yielding at link on the main beam which is located between the eccentric bracing (EBH). EBH has important weaknesses to review. In the event of an earthquake that causes the link beam to rotate vertically, causing the structure above the beam damaged. Also it is not easy to repair the beam link at EBH after a severe earthquake. To overcome the problems in the EBH system, a new system was proposed, called Vertical-EBF (EBV). Links with WF and tubular profiles are two profiles commonly used in structures. In this research, EBF specimen modeling with tubular profile vertical links was compared with EBF horizontal links. The results showed a structure with EBV had a lighter weight.Yielding only occur at link so its better for earthquake rehabilitation.

Abstract

Concrete needs to use alternative materials to reduce cement content to limit the effect of carbon emissions. Marble dust as a waste of the marble industry has very fine grains. X-Ray Fluorescence (X-RF) method was conducted to determine the mineral properties of marble dust. Marble dust was found to contain 98.62% Calcium Oxide (CaO), 0.17% Sulfur Trioxide (SO3) and some elements in small levels. To determine the impact of marble dust on the mechanical characteristics of concrete, an experimental study was conducted. Test specimens were made with four different levels of marble dust, namely 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. The experimental results showed that the optimum usage was 6.62% by weight of cement which gave the advantage of increasing the compressive strength of concrete by 11.77%.

Abstract

Several tectonic plates and a string of active volcanic mountain ranges encircle the Indonesian country, making a considerable part of Indonesia susceptible to both tectonic and volcanic earthquakes. The Indonesian National Standardization issued the latest earthquake regulations in 2019, replacing the regulations from 2012. As a result, the seismic map's PGA, Ss, and S1 values rose in comparison to the map from 2010.. With these elevated values, the regions in Indonesia become more vulnerable to earthquakes. The city of Malang itself falls within the moderate seismicity zone or is categorized as having a moderate level of vulnerability. The new regulations can be directly implemented for new buildings. To find out if they can handle the new seismic loads, existing structures must also be assessed.. This research focuses on assessing the vulnerability of old buildings to the new seismic loads in accordance with the updated regulations, using rapid visual screening. The results indicate that the examined buildings are still considered capable of withstanding the new seismic loads.

Abstract

Abstract: The village of Pagersari, located in a highland area, possesses potential natural resources that can be developed, and its strategic location makes it suitable to become a rest area. However, the development of the rest area is still in the planning stage, with the main issue being the lack of knowledge among village officials and the local community regarding construction and cost estimation. Therefore, an "Edu Construction" program is needed to enhance the knowledge and competencies of the village community and officials in construction-related work. The "Edu Construction" program consists of three phases: Preparation (including surveys and needs analysis), Implementation (involving layout design, E-modules, training, and mentoring), and Evaluation and Reporting. The results include the rest area layout design, a web-based E-module, as well as training and mentoring for cost estimation preparation. Subsequent phases involve the publication of the E-module, activity evaluation, and the preparation of activity reports. The aim is to advance the Pagersari Village rest area and enhance the knowledge and skills of the community and village officials in construction-related matters. Abstrak: Desa Pagersari, yang terletak di dataran tinggi, memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang dapat dikembangkan, dan lokasinya yang strategis membuatnya cocok untuk menjadi rest area. Namun, pengembangan rest area masih dalam tahap perencanaan, dengan masalah utama yaitu minimnya pengetahuan aparat dan masyarakat desa dalam hal konstruksi dan estimasi biaya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan program "Edu Construction" untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kompetensi masyarakat dan aparat desa terkait pekerjaan konstruksi. Program "Edu Construction" mencakup tiga tahap: Persiapan (termasuk survei dan analisis kebutuhan), Pelaksanaan (termasuk pembuatan desain layout, E-modul, pelatihan, dan pendampingan), serta Evaluasi dan Pelaporan. Hasilnya adalah desain layout rest area, E-modul berbasis website, serta pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk penyusunan estimasi biaya. Tahap selanjutnya termasuk penerbitan E-modul, evaluasi kegiatan, dan pembuatan laporan kegiatan. Tujuannya adalah memajukan rest area Desa Pagersari dan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan masyarakat dan aparat desa terkait konstruksi

Abstract

Desa Tempursari memiliki penduduk sebanyak 6000 jiwa serta kepadatan sekitar 345 jiwa/km2. Mayoritas Profesi penduduk Desa Tempursari sendiri yaitu petani dan peternak, salah satunya adalah peternak kambing tradisional[2]. Desa tempursari merupakan daerah dengan curah hujan yang cukup tinggi, akan tetapi pada musim kemarau daerah ini tergolong cukup gersang, sehingga pada saat musim kemarau menyebabkan ketersediaan rumput untuk pakan ternak kambing berkurang. Sehingga, para peternak tradisional di Desa Tempursari mengalami kesulitan dalam mendapatkan pakan ternak yang baik. Hal ini merupakan salah satu problematika yang dialami para peternak di Desa Tempursari disetap tahunnya. Permasalahan ini akan berdampak buruk pada pertumbuhan dan perkembangan hewan ternak karena kurangnya asupan yang baik. Permasalah tesebut perlu segera diatasi agar para peternak tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam mendapatkan pakan ternak pada musim kemarau dan hewan ternak tetap mendapatkan asupan yang baik. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan pengembangan manajemen pusat pakan ternak kambing fermentasi organik di Desa Tempursari. Manajemen Pusat pakan ternak kambing fermentasi organik diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi jangka pendek dan jangka Panjang dalam mengatasi keterbatasan tersedianya pakan kambing di musim kemarau. Sehingga para peternak tidak mengalami kesulita dalam mencari dan menyediakan pakan kambing, serta kambing bisa mendapatkan asupan yang lebih berkualitas. Selain itu, dengan adanya pusat pakan ternak kambing fermentasi organik dapat menjadi pemasukan tambahan bagi masyrakat sekitar.

Abstract

Abstract Pagersari Village is one of the villages in the administrative area of Ngantang Subdistrict, Malang Regency. Pagersari Village is located on the edge of Ngantang Subdistrict, more precisely on the Malang Regency and Blitar Regency border. Pagersari Village has potential derived from natural resources, most forests. Looking at the existing potential, the opportunity to make Pagersari Village a village not left behind can be wide open. Judging from the layout of Pagersari Village, which is located on the border of the regency and is heavily traversed by residents who want to go to Blitar Regency or vice versa, a rest area facility is needed. Judging from the conditions of the area above, it has the potential to fulfill the needs of the Rest Area. However, the development of rest areas in Pagersari village is still relatively lacking due to limited tourist spots. With the development of bamboo construction tourist spots, it is hoped that visitors to the rest area can increase to open opportunities to improve the surrounding community's economy. Abstrak Desa Pagersari merupakan salah satu desa yang berada dalam kawasan administratif Kecamatan ngantang Kabupaten Malang. Desa Pagersari adalah desa yang terletak di pinggir Kecamatan Ngantang lebih tepatnya terdapat di perbatasan Kabupaten Malang dengan Kabupaten Blitar. Desa Pagersari memiliki potensi yang berasal dari sumber daya alam yang sebagian besar wilayahnya berupa hutan. Dengan melihat potensi yang ada tersebut maka peluang untuk bisa menjadikan Desa Pagersari menjadi desa yang tidak tertinggal dapat terbuka lebar. Dilihat dari tata letak Desa Pagersari yang terdapat pada perbatasan kabupaten dan banyak dilalui oleh warga yang ingin menuju Kabupaten Blitar ataupun sebaliknya maka diperlukan adanya fasilitas berupa rest area. Dilihat dari kondisi daerah di atas, maka sangat berpotensi untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan Rest Area. Namun, saat ini pengembangan rest area pada desa pagersari masih tergolong kurang karna terbatasnya spot untuk wisata. Dengan adanya pengembangan spot wisata bamboo construction diharapkan pengunjung rest area dapat bertambah banyak sehingga dapat membuka peluang peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar.

Abstract

Indonesia is located on 3 large tectonic plates, making the Indonesian region vulnerable to earthquakes. To overcome this, it is necessary to plan buildings that are earthquake resistant. High population growth has resulted in many different models of tall buildings. These diverse building models have led to the emergence of irregular building designs, both horizontally and vertically. This irregularity can affect the results of structural analysis of earthquake loads. This research discusses the effect of horizontal irregularities in buildings on earthquake loads with the results of research that regular buildings have structural stiffness properties that are relatively stiffer than irregular buildings. In addition, irregularities also result in smaller deviation values ​​between floors in the X direction and larger in the Y direction when compared to irregular.

Abstract

Meningkatkan kualitas bangunan di Indonesia sebagai negara yang memiliki risiko bencana alam khususnya gempa bumi, penelitian mengenai penggunaan bracing pada suatu struktur terutama untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan efektifitas perlu dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan masing-masing variasi penggunaan bracing khususnya pada panel dinding. Pengujian dilakukan dengan metode numeris menggunakan software Abaqus CAE agar penelitian dapat dilakukan dengan tingkat efektifitas yang lebih tinggi dibanding pengujian secara eksperimental. Kekuatan, daktilitas, dan juga pergeseran atau displacement merupakan hal yang akan diidentifikasi dalam penelitian ini. Hasil pengujian menunjukan dalam hal kekuatan variasi X-bracing menunjukan keunggulan yang cukup signifikan apabila dibandingkan dengan variasi Z-bracing yaitu 203% dibanding Z-bracing dengan 178%. Simpangan X-bracing memiliki keunggulan dengan 17.04 mm, 23.31 mm untuk Z-bracing, dan 269.73 mm untuk non-bracing.

Abstract

Conventional steel frame structures tend to be susceptible to earthquakes, which can lead to significant economic and social losses. The earthquake disaster has motivated various technological exploration efforts to improve the seismic resilience of building structures. To strengthen the structure and prevent collapse, reducing the span length by adding bracing to the weak axis of the column proved effective. The addition of lateral stiffeners (bracing) to the elements of the frame structure is crucial in reducing lateral forces due to earthquakes in high-rise buildings. However, the researchers only focused on comparing the types of bracing used. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to optimize the structure of the steel frame multi-story building by innovating the configuration of bracing placement to match the composition of the building. To produce optimal results, the steel frame building model using bracing is varied in the placement of bracing with the middle model (BC1), the edge model (BC2), and the even model (BC3), so that the three models produce the effect of bracing placement on the building. The three building models will be analyzed using SAP200 to produce the performance of the steel frame building structure, including displacement, natural vibration periods, and base shear forces. From the overall analysis of the three models, it is shown that the evenness model (BC3) produces the most optimal structural performance. This is also shown by the fulfillment of all structural performance requirements based on the requirements of earthquake-resistant structures in SNI 1726-2019. The result of the buffer evenly provides a large displacement that occurs on the 3rd floor in the X direction which compared to other models has the smallest value, which is 20.13 mm. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the uniform model has the smallest natural vibration period value of 0.779 seconds in the X direction and has the largest dynamic shear force value in the X direction, which is 4823.74 kN. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the placement of supports in steel frame multi-story buildings on the ability of the building structure with the even placement model (BC3) to produce the most optimal building design when compared to other building models.

Abstract

Efficient use of materials in the tied arch bridge can be reach by optimizing it. This article examined initial arch angle and the top height effects. The use of initial angle (20°, 25°, 30°) combined with different top arch height (0,5 – 0,6 meter) is based on rise-span ratio 1:8 – 1:6,67. 9 bridge models are produced from these variations. This study aimed to minimizing deflection and weight for optimizing structural performance, thus decrease steel use also CO₂ emissions for support Indonesia toward SDGs 2045. 3D model was analyzed using FEM (Finite Element Method) Software with a 250 kg mid-span load using the tributary method, which is simulating pedestrian weight transferred through the floor plate and tie chord. Analysis results showed that the arch initial angle and the top height affect the structural performance. With the best performance is showed by type 1.3 with 20° initial angle and top arch height (0,6).
