Abstract

Nigeria has practiced uninterrupted democracy from 1999 to date. She has however, little to show for this long practice of what was hitherto perceived as the harbinger of good things. This paper argues that the slow growth of democracy in Nigeria, has nothing to do with a defect in democracy itself, but with the nature of Nigerians. Democracy viewed on its own is good, but the way it is practiced in Nigeria has made it not to flourish. The paper recommends steps to be taken by all Nigerians, in order to consolidate democracy and to reposition it for future dividend delivery.

Abstract

This study empirically tests whether internal communication and work discipline are applied to realize employee performance at PT. Duta Putra Sejahtera, Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, namely observation, and distribution of questionnaires/questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used were validity and reliability tests, classic assumption tests (normality test, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity tests) along with multiple linear regression analysis, and simple linear regression analysis that was processed using SPSS 20. Sixty-five respondents using the saturated sample method. Internal communication significantly affects employee performance with a significant figure of 0.000 <0.05 and t count 11.911> t table 1.669. Work discipline significantly affects employee performance with a significant number of 0.751 <0.05 and t count -0.319> t table 1.669. The effect of Internal Communication (X1) and Work Discipline (X2) on Employee Performance (Y) has a significant effect simultaneously. It can be seen that the f count is with a significant level of 0.000 <0.05, then the degree of freedom (df) is (k-1) or the degree of the numerator and (NK) for the degree of denominator where n = number of observations and k = the number of variables, the obtained F table is 3.99 so that the value of f count is greater than the table (242.696> 3.99). Thus the test results show that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It indicates that together (simultaneously), the independent variables (internal communication and work discipline) have a significant effect on the dependent variable (performance).

Abstract

 Regional revenue agencies in organizing local tax revenues and regional levies have not been maximized because there are several problems faced in increasing their capacity, namely the problem of limited human resources. Therefore, this study aims to determine the strategy of increasing the capacity of the Regional Revenue Agency for the framework of local tax and levy receipts in increasing Regional Original Income and what factors determine the efforts to increase the capacity of the Regional Revenue Agency to increase taxes and levies in receiving Regional Original Income. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that the increase in the capacity of the Regional Revenue Agency Building in receiving Regional Original Revenue is associated with the quality of the Human Resources apparatus, so it has not been balanced with the competence of the relevant apparatus' ability to carry out their duties and functions properly and several factors were detected as determining factors in the improvement process. the capacity of apparatus resources to increase the capacity of local taxes and levies in Supiori Regency. These determining factors include the ability of the implementers in the areas of revenue planning, data processing and finance as well as collection. Another determining factor is the problem of facilities and facilities as well as problems related to the division of tasks and functions of the existing sections. This is one with other factors that have their respective roles that are interrelated so that they have an impact on increasing local tax revenues and levies during 2012-2017 in Supiori Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine, analyze and interpret: The implementation of public services at the Department of Population and Civil Registration in Bima Regency. Because if you look at the current phenomenon, there are still many complaints from the community, such as lack of human resources, lack of socialization, limited facilities. This research is descriptive analysis using a qualitative approach, the data obtained from a number of informants. The results of the study indicate that the services provided by the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bima Regency are effective, timely and systematic. by online. Through innovation and sufficient work ethic, innovations are created such as: servant services to the people's porch for the issuance of population cards and civil registration that are fast, free, free of charge with mobile service cars to support technology-based services in improving quality performance. The conclusion of the researcher, 1) The implementation of services organized by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Bima Regency provides public services in accordance with the needs of the community. in document-making services 2) Improving the quality of public service performance carried out by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Bima Regency with regulations that bind the necessity that the quality of public service performance will be achieved optimally.

Abstract

Companies must give more attention to employees so that employees can think actively and work optimally. One of the factors that influence the emergence of commitment to employees is the provision of fair compensation. This study aims to determine the employee compensation system and the factors that influence employee compensation at PT Tasti Anugrah Mandiri. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, namely the author describes the results of observations and direct interviews with the marketing (Salesman). This research was conducted from September to October 2020. The results of the study indicate that the compensation system at PT Tasti Anugrah Mandiri uses a work performance system or target achievement where this system prioritizes achieving targets made by employees in selling company products. The factors that form the basis for providing compensation are the company's ability and willingness and employee productivity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the entrepreneurial literacy of the students of SMK Negeri 5 Makassar. This research is categorized as a quantitative descriptive study with a sample of 35 students. The data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires with a Likert scale. The analytical technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that entrepreneurial literacy has an important role in increasing interest in entrepreneurship. This study shows that entrepreneurial literacy has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest in SMK Negeri 5 Makassar students.

Abstract

In facing the era of globalization which is full of challenges and opportunities, state apparatus as public servants who provide the best service towards good governance. This study uses a qualitative approach. With observation data collection techniques and in-depth interviews. This study aims to analyze the performance of the State Civil Apparatus at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Supiori Regency. This study aims to determine and analyze the performance of the State Civil Apparatus at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Supiori Regency and to identify and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of the performance of the State Civil Apparatus at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of Supiori Regency. The results showed that the performance of financial and asset managers in the Supiori district was still in the "medium" category, tending to be "low". This means that there is a need for internal organizational policies to improve employee performance and the factors that affect the performance of financial and asset managers in Supirori Regency, seen from their human resources, are still varied and categorized as low. What is owned is not in accordance with the tupoksi owned, judging from the competence of work from the aspect of formal education, it seems that it is not very important in encouraging the improvement of the performance of the apparatus, while the aspects of education and training and work experience play an important role in encouraging the improvement of employee performance.

Abstract

The elite cadre in society through the instruments of political parties and other social institutions seems to have stalled, even running without an adequate process. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of Government Regulation Policy Number 19 of 2008 in Biak Numfor Regency and the inhibiting factors for the Implementation of Government Regulation Policy Number 19 of 2008 in Biak Numfor Regency. This study uses a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The reason for using a qualitative approach as a research approach is because researchers see the nature of the problem being studied can develop naturally according to the conditions and situations in the field. The results showed that the implementation of PP No. 19/2008 on sub-districts in Biak Numfor Regency, Papua Province, was seen from the aspect of communication, sources, dispositions/trends or behaviors, and the bureaucratic structure had not been running well and other factors The obstacles to the implementation of PP No. 19/2008 on sub-districts in Biak Numfor Regency are influenced by (a) The influence of external pressure, (b) The influence of personal characteristics, (c) The influence of outside groups; and (d) The influence of past circumstances.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Regional Regulation no. 38 of 2013 on the Effectiveness of Sorong City Government Apparatus Resources carried out by Sorong City government officials by providing development of Sorong City government apparatus resources through education and training, and to analyze Determinant factors in Improving the Quality of Sorong City Government Apparatus Resources regarding the computer skills possessed by the Sorong City government apparatus, the facilities and infrastructure in the Sorong City government apparatus, the working time of the Sorong City government apparatus, the level of education possessed by the Sorong City government apparatus, the performance of the apparatus, the competence of the apparatus and the discipline of the Sorong City government apparatus. This research is descriptive qualitative data obtained from several informants. The results showed that the application of Regional Regulation No. 38 of 2013 on the effectiveness of Sorong City government apparatus resources. Regarding development and education in Sorong City on the effectiveness of apparatus resources, it has been going well but is still far from what is expected because education has not been implemented thoroughly for the apparatus and community in Sorong City.

Abstract

Education has an important role in the process of improving the quality of human resources.  Improving the quality of education is an integrated process in the process of improving the quality of human resources. The role of education is very much needed and demands attention and participation from all parties.  In Article 31 of the 1945 Constitution, education is a right for every citizen, the Government is well aware of the need to improve the quality of education as a tool to improve the quality of human resources.  Through Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system and Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2006 2006 concerning the National Movement for the Acceleration of Completion of Compulsory Education for Nine Years of Basic Education and Eradication of Illiteracy. Therefore, there are still many children who drop out of school, especially in Nabire Regency.  Most children drop out of school because of a lack of awareness of the importance of education and the role of parents in encouraging their children.  In addition, the school environment that affects student learning includes classroom infrastructure, inadequate and inadequate building conditions. In this study using qualitative research methods, namely a study aimed at describing and analyzing phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, thoughts of people individually and in groups. Qualitative research, data collection is carried out in natural conditions, primary data sources, and data collection techniques are mostly on instrumental observation, as well as in-depth interviews. This study concludes that the implementation of the 9-year compulsory education program policy in Nabire sub-district has not been implemented effectively due to inconsistency.  Then policy implementers have not given a positive attitude which is marked by weak coordination in policy implementation.
