The analysis tool uses validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of this study are technological determinism that has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes by 38.6%. Hypothesis testing is obtained tcount> ttable or (6.907> 1.992), so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted meaning there is a positive and significant influence between technological determinism on student learning outcomes at the MA Daarul Hikmah Pamulang Office. Technology literacy has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes by 39.8%. Hypothesis testing is obtained tcount> ttable or (7.091> 1.992) so that H0 is rejected and H2 is accepted meaning that there is a positive and significant influence between technology literacy on student learning outcomes. A simultaneous test of technological determinism and technological literacy has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes with an influence contribution of 48.4%, while the remaining 51.9% is influenced by other factors. Hypothesis testing obtained the value of Fcount> Ftable or (40.435> 2.730), thus Ho is rejected and H3 is accepted. This means that there is a positive and significant effect simultaneously between technological determinism and technology literacy on student learning outcomes in MA Daarul Hikmah Pamulang

Abstract

This paper makes a contemporary appraisal of the concepts of the ‘Goodwill’ and the ‘Categorical Imperative’ in Kant’s formalistic, deontological ethics. Kant posits that the rightness of an act does not depend at all on the value of its consequences. For him, in order to know whether an act is right or wrong, we need only see whether it is in accordance with a valid moral rule. The test for a valid moral rule, as he conceives it, is purely formalistic.  For a moral rule to be valid, it must pass the test of the foundational, supreme principle or ultimate criterion of morality, which Kant calls the “Categorical Imperative”. On this score, the paper, seeks to address the problem of ethical formalism and foundationalism associated with Kant’s theory in view of the contemporary challenge of ethical pluralism and destructive postmodernism. The objective of the paper is to reconcile with Kantianism with the contemporary shift from moral foundationalism and universalism to anti-foundationalism and relativism.

Abstract

The ability to use and develop certain periods of societal skills of using and developing information and communication technologies greatly influences the fate and uses of these technologies in the economic, political, social and cultural spheres of society in the developmental and democratic indices of the world. Today, institutions need important information and data to maintain an efficient and productive life. Likewise, digitalization of information and data reveals new management understandings. Organizations are changing organizational structures and using hierarchical structures more flexibly and more efficiently. However, the benefits of progressively non-confidentiality of data and information are increasing in different fields, of which many social and cultural cataclysms can also follow. In particular, inequality in society is caused by the mutilation of privacy and trust In the Digital era, virtual action loses value and raises ethical issues. The inability to develop appropriate ethical principles for the virtual society deepens the effect of these problems on society. In this study, ethical perspectives of public administration in the Digital age are positively or negatively related to the situation.

This research was carried out with the philosophical method of textual analysis.

Abstract

Metaphysics, as we understand, is a philosophical enterprise that deals with the nature of the ultimate reality. However, this is a sweeping conception; we can say metaphysics, is concerned with the nature of reality as well as problems of existence which is more appropriately considered under ontological discussions. Thus, there have been questions on whether ontology has vital importance in human practical dealings. This paper aims to show the importance of ontology in administration. The work analysis some existing philosophers' postulation on the importance of ontology in public administration. This work agrees with most philosophers on the ontological abstract theories that have some bearing on the ethical and practical issues. It defends this position by analysing unique cases of humane administration; that metaphysical thesis, theories, and conceptions are equally important in resolving real-life cases. The research is carried out with the philosophical method of textual analysis.

Abstract

The selection of 'right man' for 'right job' and his/her orientation in administrative philosophy and social values need to be reinforced by effective systems for ethical administration as they create 'conducive' or 'non conducive' environment Numerous studies have indicated that organization climate and atmosphere will play a dominant role in influencing individuals with appropriate attitudes and skills. Keeping this in view, this work focuses on the important aspects of organization and their impact on ethical behavior of administrators. Some of the important issues raised are to what extent hierarchy influences ethical behavior. How rules and procedures influence administration. Whether ethics institutions and codes of conduct help achieve public service ethics? This method used in this research is context textual analysis.

Abstract

Truth and objectivity are fundamental principles of the ethics of journalism. The quality of good journalism in any society, among others, is measured by these two indispensable principles. Because of their importance to the profession, this paper interrogates these concepts in the light of their practicability. Can truth and objectivity be achieved in the field of journalism in view of our various conceptions of truth? How can we deal with the problem of concealment of truth and misleading reports in journalism? Are journalists morally bound to tell the whole truth to the public always? These are the key questions this paper seeks to address. It explores the various notions of truth, namely: the correspondence theory, the coherent theory and the pragmatic theory. The question of objectivity in the presentation of information to the public was equally addressed. Can objectivity be ever achieved in journalism? What are the prospects and problems of journalistic objectivism? The paper adopts the method of critical and textual analysis. In all, the paper concludes that truth and objectivity can be achieved in journalism if practitioners are well tutored in professional ethics with a consciousness of its concrete internalization and actual practicalization.

Abstract

Newman remains an ecumenical figure held in high esteem by Roman Catholics and Anglicans. His ecumenical hermeneutics is observable in Tract No. 90. This Tract is a re-reading of the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion ratified in 1571 as the fundamentals of the Anglican faith. This tract is the product of the Oxford Movement that returned to the Antiquity in view of resolving the Anglican faith crises epitomized by erastianism. This return to the Fathers of the Church had a lot of implications for the Anglican faith. Influenced by Antiquity, Newman rediscovered the common grounds between the Anglican faith and the church Catholic that inheres in the Roman Church. Thus, Tract No. 90 demonstrated that more things united the Nineteenth Anglicans and the Roman Catholics than what separated them.
