Abstract

Private educational institutions have various methods of recruiting students according to school needs. In general, these schools prefer to implement PPDB (New Student Admissions) with the "pick up ball" method, rather than taking PPDB Online. PPDB "pick the ball" is a method of recruiting students that is followed by all school units including, educators and students. They go directly to the field to find and pick up students. So, not only students who come to the school to register, but the school will pick up prospective students. This research is a qualitative study using the Alfred Schutz phenomenology approach. Max Weber's theory of social action as the analysis knife of this research. The focus of this research study is the SMK Siang 1 Bojonegoro school unit. The selection of informants was done purposively. Data obtained through observation, indepth interview, and documentation. The results of the study, SMK Siang 1 Bojonegoro has several reasons for "picking up the ball", including: maintaining school prestige, eliminating negative stereotypes, competition between schools, increasing economic capital, bureaucratic efficiency, and the existence of a communal culture in the Bojonegoro community. There are two strategies used to make "pick the ball" successful. Hegemony strategy, actors act on the basis of franchise principles, seen from the side of efficiency and effectiveness alone. Meanwhile, the actor's Social Capital strategy acts based on moral and religious values.

Abstract

Hijabers Surabaya is a community of veiled women who become the mecca for young Muslim fashion . They are continuously creating the hijab with the latest fashions. Hijabs by Hijabers Surabaya are generally priced quite expensive. This situation raises the curiosity of researchers. How do Hijabers Surabaya present their lifestyle. And how is the relevance between fashion, hijab and capitalism in Hijabers Surabaya. To answer these problems, this study uses qualitative methods with the type of case study research. This qualitative research method was chosen in order to obtain in-depth and comprehensive research data regarding the lifestyle of Surabaya Hijabers and the relevance of fashion, headscarves and capitalism in Hijabers Surabaya. The data obtained were then presented descriptively and then analyzed with the social construction theory coined by Peter L. Berger.

Abstract

This policy means that all activities must change their orientation, that is, they may not go through face-to-face, including teaching and learning activities at various levels of education, both formal and informal. Teaching and learning activities continue, but must take advantage of-based media online or whatever form it takes as long as it is not face-to-face with the intention of avoiding the transmission of Covid-19 in Indonesia. This research is a type of qualitative research. The data analysis technique used in this study is a qualitative descriptive technique with critical theory studies supported by the stages of child development in the rationalization of technology as a scalpel. This research was conducted at SMAS Nusantara Bungah, which has implemented-based learning methods online during the pandemic. Therefore, macro and micro solutions are absolutely necessary to avoid the possibility of something worse happening. At the macro level, the government must immediately issue a new policy regarding a more humane learning model by providing supporting facilities and infrastructure. Then at the micro level, an intense dialogical relationship is needed to make the best use of technology between teacher-parents and teacher-students to solve grassroots problems.

Abstract

purpose of writing this article is to discuss the role of teachers and students in facing education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This writing method uses descriptive analysis method by reviewing the education system that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic and seeing the role between teachers and students in facing the world of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This descriptive analysis method will be collected and some reinforcing data will be provided for educational problems during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this writing will be useful in seeing how effective the education and learning system is for teachers and students in facing the Covid-19 pandemic and also whether education in Indonesia is ready to face the new learning system, especially for teachers and students who are facing online learning. during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research is the result of observations made by researchers at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng Banyuwangi. This research is related to several evaluation programs implemented in schools. Every evaluation program definitely needs a proposal that is used to build an implemented evaluation program. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained were then presented in the form of words and narratives which were presented in depth. The informants in this study were from several school elements ranging from educators, education personnel and other employees. Determination of informants in this study is by purposive sampling where the researcher determines and chooses first who the informants are to support the compilation of this research report. The results obtained from this research are that with the existence of a proposal, every activity carried out will feel more helpful and light because the proposal can be used as a forum to convey meanings and objectives. In addition, proposals are also used to clarify and distinguish some of the elements contained in the activity, starting from the title, meaning and purpose, core and closing.

Abstract

Character education in a micro context, centered on a holistic education unit. Education unit is the main sector that optimally utilizes and empowers all existing learning environments to initiate, improve, strengthen, and continuously enhance the character education process in educational units. Education is what will make serious efforts and always be at the forefront of efforts to form the true character of Indonesian people. Character development is divided into four pillars, namely teaching and learning activities in class, daily activities in the form of cultural development of educational units; co-curricular and / or extra-curricular activities, as well as daily activities at home and in the community. In order to realize the goals of education in schools, effective management is required, with the aim of ensuring: 1) community access to adequate education services; 2) the quality and competitiveness of education and its relevance to the needs of society; and 3) effectiveness, efficiency and accountability of education management. Appearance, service, & achievement (3P) are not new things in schools, but in fact there are still schools that do not pay attention to 3Ps properly. For example, there is still a school identity in the form of a school name board which is in a dull and rotten condition so that it cannot be read clearly & cannot provide accurate information about the school. Another example, there are still schools that ignore cleanliness, safety, comfort & beauty of the school environment such as yards, rooms (buildings) & others. Likewise, the school's lack of attention to neatness, cleanliness & harmony in the appearance and behavior shown by its residents. According to Simon Philips, character is a collection of values ​​that lead to a system, which underlies the thoughts, attitudes and behaviors that are displayed. Meanwhile, Doni Koesoema understands that character is the same as personality. Personality is considered as a characteristic, or characteristic, or style, or characteristic characteristic of a person that comes from formations received from the environment. In this sense the root of all evil and evil acts, evil acts, lies in the loss of character. Strong character is a fundamental view which gives the human population the ability to live together in peace and form a world filled with good and virtue, free from violence and immoral acts.

Abstract

Many factors can make a person successful as a "rich" teacher. The most important factor is the motivation to become a teacher that comes from within oneself. In responding to these challenges, it is natural that every educator and educational staff is motivated to improve professional abilities in their respective fields, It is hoped that through the MGMP activities, the professional ability of teachers will increase to the point of being truly professional. The Economic MGMP program is basically a major part of the development of the Economic MGMP. The program must always refer to efforts to increase teacher competence and professionalism. Human resources to support the activities of the Economic MGMP consist of primary resource persons and supporting resource persons. Management of the Economic MGMP as a forum for increasing competence and developing teacher professionalism includes planning, implementing, and evaluating the Economic MGMP program.

Abstract

This research study aims to improve student achievement, by using the Mind Mapping method in the class of XI IPS 2 on Economics subject, National Income of SMA Negeri 1 Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), and the research subject is the students of class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi, which amounted to 33 students. The results showed that there was a gradual increase where the student learning outcomes from the first cycle were 69.44% and increased in the second cycle by 94.73%. So, the student activity increased by 25.29% in achievement. By the completeness number of 87.36%, where the percentage of 100% classically has increased. So it can be concluded that the use of the Mind Mapping method can improve student achievement outcomes in Economics subject National Income Material, class of XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi Academic Year of 2020/2021.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the talents and interests that exist in each grade VA student at SD Inpres Iligetang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research was conducted at SD Inpres Iligetang with 23 subjects. Data collection techniques using documentation, observation and interviews. The research data were analyzed using the Data Analysis Component according to Miles and Huberman with data collection analysis, data presentation, data reduction and the last one was drawing conclusions. The results showed that out of 23 VA grade students of SD Inpres Iligetang, 14 had the talent for playing football, 6 of them had the talent for drawing, 1 talent for singing, 1 talent for counting and 1 talent for dancing. While the interests of the VA class students of SD Inpres Iligetang include 4 students having an interest in playing footballs, playing music 1 person, drawing 2 people, learning Science 3 people, Mathematics 2 people, PKN 2 people, SBDP 1 person, Bindo 1 person, IPS 3 people, studied Religion 3 people and interest in singing 1 person. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that every student has talents and interests, although not maximized due to the limited infrastructure for teachers and support from parents, but with an understanding of the talents and interests of each VA grade student of SD Inpres Iligetang, it should be noted and developed. by teachers, parents and the social environment in order to be good knowledge in educating and fostering students both at school and at home.

Abstract

Perilaku membolos merupakan perilaku yang menyimpang yang dilakukan oleh siswa di sekolah dengan melanggar tata tertip di sekolah, tidak masuk sekolah tanpa izin dan meninggalkan jam pelajaran. sehingga yang harus berperan aktif dalam menangani masalah tersebut yaitu guru BK karena peran guru Bimbingan Konseling adalah untuk membantu mengarahkan, memotivasi siswa dan menangani masalah yang dihadapi oleh siswa terutama pada perilaku membolos, karena jika tidak segera ditangani akan berdampak negatif pada perilaku siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Peran guru BK dengan Perilaku Membolos siswa kelas VIII Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 di MTs Nurul Huda Badean Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini berjenis Kuantitatif pendekatan deskriptif, dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Pengambilan Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Purposive sampling dengan cara menetapkan ciri-ciri khusus yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian Sehingga sampel yang digunakan hanya siswa yang membolos di kelas VIII yang berjumlah 20 Responden. Untuk mengukur hasil penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji korelasi dan regresi linier dengan menggunakan bantuan software IBM SPSS Statistic 21 for Windows Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan antara peran guru BK dengan perilaku membolos adalah sebesar 0,034 jadi, karena nilainya 0,034 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan signifikan antara peran guru BK dengan perilaku membolos siswa. Sehingga hipotesis Ha yang berbunyi ―Ada hubungan signifikan antara peran guru BK dengan perilaku membolos siswa kelas VIII di MTs Nurul Huda Badean Banyuwangi‖ di Terima. Dengan derajat hubungan penelitian ini yaitu 0,432 atau 43,2% sehingga nilai 56,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
