Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country consisting of 34 provinces with cities and districts in them. Indonesia has a diverse cultural and artistic diversity from different regions. Arts and culture centers are crucial in preserving the archipelago's artistic and cultural heritage in the midst of the increasingly rapid flow of globalization, especially among the younger generation who are vulnerable to the influence of foreign lifestyles (Amalia & Agustin, 2022). Muna Regency is an area in Southeast Sulawesi Province that started its civilization from prehistoric times and is the oldest regency among other regencies, which are in Southeast Sulawesi. Muna Regency is one of the areas included in the designation of historical and cultural tourism as a historical and cultural tourism area under regulation Number 2 of 2014-2034 concerning the Muna Regency RTRW. The existence of tourist objects that are quite potential but do not meet the standard criteria so that a container is needed in the form of the availability of facilities and infrastructure equipped with public facilities and other supporting materials can be a tour package and development in various cultural festival activities that will make it a central place for art and cultural festival activities in Muna Regency, especially by using contemporary architectural concepts.

Abstract

Public Open Space is part of the city's sub-system. The narrow conditions and scarcity of urban space that are widely encountered in various big cities today often marginalize the existence of public open spaces. As a result, there is an imbalance in synergy, proportion, ratio, distribution (spread) of public open space in the city. The availability of open space in an area has a very significant role in shaping the mentality, potential, culture and social behavior of the community. Therefore, the need and provision of public open space requires a more serious approach to planning and design. This study aims to find out and analyze the characteristics of the need for public open space from the socio-cultural aspect and the extent of the influence of socio-cultural aspects on the use of public open space in Banta-bantaeng Village, Rappocini District, Makassar. This research was carried out in Banta-bantaeng Village, Rappocini District, Makassar with a research period starting from May 2016 to October 2016. The methods used in this study are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive methods. The qualitative descriptive method is used to identify the characteristics of Public Open Space while the quantitative descriptive method is used to describe the influence of socio-cultural aspects on the use of public open space through the calculation of simple mathematical formulas. The results of the analysis of the study show that the availability of public open space in Banta-bantaeng sub-district is still very lacking and does not meet the standards for open space needs based on government regulations. The results of this study also show that the lack of availability of open space has resulted in people taking advantage of existing open space in the form of vacant land owned by private communities, existing environmental roads, open spaces owned by agencies and other vacant lands whose status is unclear. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the people of banta-bantaeng village really need open space, especially open spaces such as sports fields and playgrounds. The results of this research are expected to be inputs for the government and for future research related to public open spaces

Abstract

The Kotabaru area (formerly called nieuwe wijk) which is an effort to expand the city creates a "new town in town". The zoning pattern of Garden City is a concentric radial model, where there are main principles, namely: a) Civic center (city park at the core of the area) in the form of open space in the middle of the area used as a green area and surrounded by public buildings; b) Crystal Palace (public facilities outside central park); The outer ring of the crystal palace is c) a group of houses overlooking the boulevard, d) The outer ring as a market, warehouse, factory, and other service facilities. This paper will focus on looking at the changes in landscape function that have occurred in the New City of Yogyakarta from several decades. Landscape changes in this case are changes in land use and zoning of Cultural Heritage areas, including: built land (settlements, shops, government building offices, public facilities, and others), open land (parks/fields), watery land (rivers, and canals), and green land (gardens and RTH). To obtain accurate data support, relevant documentation is carried out; land cover data, interpretation of historical maps/regional morphology, aerial photographs and collection of statistical data

Abstract

The development of the population that is increasingly congested, so the need for housing will also increase. It looks from the development efforts to increasing the number of housing development, both held by the government (Perum Perumnas) and by the private sector. According to UU Tata Ruang where it is stated that any housing development should be supported by the availability of infrastructure and facilities. But these provisions required and sometimes not at all met, there are still a lot of housing that do not have infrastructure and facilities in accordance with the provisions required. This research aims to determine whether the availability of infrastructure and facilities for a significant effect on the value of residential land in Makassar and to measure the level of significance of the effect of the availability of infrastructure and facilities to the value of residential land in Makassar. The methods of this research used is quantitative research explanatory which is a type of research that describes the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable to test the hypothesis. The resulting findings that infrastructure and facilities contributing to influence on the value of land for housing at 65% and 46.5%. With the availability of infrastructure and housing facilities. then the value of land owned by a housing becomes higher. Members of the independent variable for infrastructure where being the most dominant to gives an effect on the value of land is the road infrastructure and a member of the independent variables for facilities where being the most dominant to gives an effect on the value of land is an education facilities

Abstract

Since ancient times, humans have lived on earth with the sky above them. In a clear sky, we can see celestial bodies in the form of planets, sun, moon, stars, or at a certain time natural phenomena such as meteors. Astronomy as the earliest science in human civilization has been known about 3000 years before the ancient Babylonian era, on the holy book of Al-Quran also found various information about the universe, 20 verses mention the word sun, 463 verses that mention the earth, and 5 verses that mention the moon. Not to mention the verses that describe the sky, the changes of day and night, and the verses that mention the stars. Planetarium as one of the facilities in science, astronomy basically functions as entertainment and education or we can say edutainment, with procurement of supporting facilities, namely in the form of an observatory. Based on the 2006 curriculum and the 2013 curriculum which explains that astronomy is studied in grades I, II and IV of elementary school, and physics at junior high school up to high school and the effective learning methods is by see and feel it for yourself

Abstract

Humid tropical climates are characterized by high air temperatures, high humidity, and intense solar radiation, increasing the risk of thermal discomfort in dwellings. Various studies have shown that passive design strategies in tropical architecture can reduce heat in buildings and reduce reliance on mechanical cooling systems. This article presents a literature review of tropical architectural design strategies to reduce heat in dwellings, focusing on building orientation, mass configuration, natural opening and ventilation systems, shading elements, roof design, surface materials and colors, and vegetation integration. The literature reviewed comes from international and regional journals for the period ±2015–2025 related to passive design, thermal comfort, and residential buildings in hot-humid climates. The results of the study indicate that a combination of passive strategies can reduce room temperatures by 2–3 °C and save cooling energy by approximately 20–30% in tropical dwellings, especially when design is carried out from the early stages of building planning.
