Abstract

Over the past four decades the cities and towns of Indonesia have experienced dramatic population growth. Population growth makes crisis in land use and agriculture that could undermine the health, security, and sustainability of those cities. The purpose of this study is to determine the land use patterns and its changes over time in Bandung City and Yogyakarta City. The research has been done in 2014, by using qualitative method. By considering urbanization and demographic aspect, this study concludes that decision maker in those cities are inconsistent in implementing Regional Development and Spatial Planning. Generally, local city tempted to allocate land use for housing and real estate for short term reasons.

Abstract

The change of government in 2014 was followed by changes in education policy. One of the changes in educational policy is the rule of the National Exam. Some of these changes include: UN 2015 will no longer be the only graduation requirements; expansion of the UN text printing; Computer Based Test implementation; and the assessment of UN Integrity. This article will study the policy change of National Examination (UN) in 2015, both in the implementation, objectives, and results. By using the methods of literary study it was found that the implementation of the UN in 2015 turned out to be the average score of the UN 2015 did not change significantly, but the UN Integrity Index showed a bad portrait of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the emergence of various conflicts in various cities in Indonesia which is triggered by the activation of ethnicity and religious stereotypes, either individually or in groups in their social interaction. Surabaya is one of the big cities inhabited by various ethnic and religious and those are potential to cause conflict. This study attempts to highlight how the picture of the interaction and the level of trust among ethnic and religious in the city of Surabaya. This study is expected to provide an overview of vertices that have the potential to create conflicts in the future so that it can be anticipated by the Government. Using qualitative method and symbolic interactionism approach, which assumes that the social reality is a series of events that occur in some individuals in the society and lasted consciously and it is related to gestures, vocal, voice, and body expression, it is concluded that the city is a melting pot where people of various ethnic groups and religions merge into one. The conflict occurred because of the characteristics of the groups in conflict distinguishable in the clarity of boundaries between groups in conflict; and the degree of organization of each group are closely related to patterns of interaction and communication that was developed from two sides.

Abstract

Since the reform of the bureaucracy implemented, effective working hours of employees are strictly enforced within the Secretariat General of the DPR RI. Indirectly, it increases the task challenge of the employee shuttle driver. Plus, the traffic conditions in Jakarta also increasingly congested and chaotic. With such conditions, the driver's workload increased and is expected to affect the quality of the performance. This study aims to measure the workload of employees the shuttle driver, so that researcher can get the information about the suitability between the task demands and the capacity of the driver. To meet these objectives, the type of research used is descriptive research, a study that aims to depict or describe the mental state of the driver's workload objectively shuttle bus to the NASA TLX method. The results obtained are the driver's workload is high, with a score of 66,75. Among the dimensions that exist in the work load, the dimension of the business is the highest level and dimension of frustration is on the lowest level. The age factor and the condition of the vehicle including the driver were contributing to the high workload of the driver. Therefore, recruitment of drivers, as well as repair and replacing the vehicle with the new one, are recommended.

Abstract

The increasing crime rates of violent motorcycle theft, especially by teenagers, is no longer a juvenile delinquency, but a juvenile crime. This paper will evaluates cases of violent motorcycle theft by teenager and identifies the cause by juvenile delinquency theories. By comparing the cases using 10 causes of juvenile delinquency shifting into juvenile crime by United Nation. As the result, I found that adolescent’s transition without self-acceptance; behavior reinforcement and social support system let them into sadistic criminal. Thus, the development system should be corrected to focus on adolescent’s psychological welfare.

Abstract

As the law state, Indonesia has the objective to create common prosperity for all Indonesian citizens without exception. To reach these goals it requires policy in the form of legislation product. The House of Representatives (DPR), the Regional Representatives Council (DPD), and the Government should involve community in the process of composing legislation, and similarly at the time of its implementation and monitoring. Therefore the goal of establishing legislation for common prosperity can be achieved. This study aims to reveal the aspirations of the people in the preparation of the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas), the role of community participation in the process of legislation, and to see how the state has involve community in the implementation and supervision of the law. The results showed that the DPR, DPD, and the Government have not considered the aspiration of the people in carrying out their legislative functions.

Abstract

The background of this paper is the ineffectiveness of implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in many companies. This paper analysis about problems in CSR implementation. The methodology of this paper is literature study. CSR that is regulated in Law No. 40 Year 2007 on Limited Liability Companies and Law No. 25 of 2007 on Investment, is company commitment to build a better quality of life together with the parties (inside or outside the company) to contribute to a sustainable economy. In this case the empowerment of the community is a part of the commitment. The result of analysis showed that the concept of CSR is good, but unfortunately that until now so many companies do not implement CSR properly. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of programs related to CSR, so the program can be implemented on an ongoing basis and can empower communities.
