Abstract

Abstract The rubbish bin is needed globally because of the place to collect the rest of the rubbish. The rubbish bin is available in the public area, home, and office. This study redesigned the Rubissh bin to make it more ergonomic and efficient when used and recruited 100 students of Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai (45 female participants and 55 male participants) by measuring their anthropometry of the human body. Abstract

Abstract The Tenayan Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is a fossil fuel power plant that is coal with a low rank coal type. To be able to meet the needs of electricity on the island of Sumatra, especially the Riau and Riau Islands, the Tenayan power plant must maintain coal needs within a safe range of 15-25 days of operation. Coal needs may not experience a decrease in productivity due to equipment damage. The obstacle that arises is the frequent occurrence of unexpected downtime which results in disrupted coal production so that the supply of coal is insufficient for the unit to operate so that the unit must be derating. This is caused by damage to one of the coal dismantling equipment, the ship unloader. This study aims to provide equipment maintenance and optimal inspection time intervals on ship unloader equipment. The research method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) with quantitative analysis. After analysis, it was found that the critical component of the Tenayan PLTU ship unloader was the chain bucket. This is obtained based on the component with the most damage frequency, which is 16 damage over a 3-year period. From the results of data processing, the MTTR value is 62.72 hours and MTTF is 211.02 hours, while the optimal inspection time interval is 6 days, so it is recommended to do reactive, inspection, and preventive maintenance activities on the chain bucket periodically every 6 days in order to increase the reliability of the chain bucket.

Abstract

PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper is one of the subsidiaries under the Sinarmas Group that the led is Mr. Eka Tjipta Wijaya. The company is a manufacturing company engaged in pulp and paper production. The company location is located at Jl. Raya Perawang - Minas km 26, Desa Pinang Sebatang kec. Tualang district. Siak, Riau Province. PT. IKPP has 106 divisions and 284 sections in its work environment, such as the PAP 1 division, there are 4 units/sections of paper production, including Paper Machine 1 which has 64 employees, Paper Machine 5 has 56 employees, Paper Machine 7 has 73 employees. people, and Paper Machine 8 which has 51 employees working in the field. In each unit/section there is 1 Administration employee and 1 Work Planner employee who takes care of all office administration, sometimes there are employees who are not the same workload so that one employee is unemployed, and the other employee is busy doing piling up work. This makes researchers want to know-how with the workload owned by each employee in this case Administration and Work Planner and changes the workload hours to the number of people needed to complete the work with the FTE (Full Time Equivalent) method. This method can provide information about how heavy the workload of someone who can be categorized into normal, overload, or underload of work from the Administration and work planner and can calculate the number of employees to complete the work based on their FTE value.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is an effort to prevent accidents and occupational diseases by recognizing the potential for accidents and occupational diseases. This study aims to determine the potential hazards at the Press station of PT. XYZ, knowing the risks of occupational safety and health and suggestions for prevention or control of occupational safety and health (K3). Data collection techniques using observation and interview methods. The analysis used is HIRARC (hazard identification risk assessment and risk control). Based on the results of this study, the potential hazards include hitting the head on an oil pipeline, slipping/falling, inhalation of dust, exposure to steam/odor, exposure to noise, and being blown away by hot steam. The results using the risk level matrix and the likelihood and concequence values are known to have 1 type of accident at a low risk level, 1 moderate risk level, 2 high risk levels and 2 extreme risk levels for work accidents. Risk control by using PPE in the form of safety helmets, shoes, masks, earplugs, wearpacks. Risk control that can be done is by using PPE in the form of safety helmets, shoes, masks, earplugs, wearpacks.

Abstract

S45C steel is widely used in the industrial world, one of which is machining construction. problems that often occur in the engine components are worn out, broken, cracks that can be caused due to overload (over load), so the construction design is not as expected. With the above problems, it is desirable for a construction material that is hard and also resilient to prevent damage. Then in order to obtain good results, the components of the machines are then given heat treatment such as hardening which aims to improve the properties of the metal.From the results of testing the hardness obtained the highest value on the quenching test. In impact testing for raw material specimens with an average value of 0.811 J / mm2, in the quenching pesimen the average value was 0.483 J / mm2 and in the tempering tempering was 1.282 J / mm2. From the results of the impact testing, the highest values were found in the tempering templates. The microstructure of JIS S45C steel after heating undergoes a change in microstructure wherein the specimens of tempering ferrite and pearlite structures get smaller and spread, this is due to slow cooling, in contrast to specimens quenching because heat treatment is carried out through temperature and rapid cooling with water media so that the structure does not have enough time to diffuse.

Abstract

Mata Kayu Art is a center for selling unique souvenirs and furniture, its superior products made of pine wood are placards, sitting clocks, wall clocks, and so on. Home Industry Mata Kayu Art was established in mid-2018, which is located on Jl. Karya, district. Panam, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to identify the number of defective products and measure the level of sigma and determine the factors that cause defective products so that they can provide suggestions for improvements to the company by redesigning SOPs to reduce defects or defects. The method used is the Six Sigma method, with the steps of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). Based on the calculation results that in the souvenir production process two types of defects become Critical to Quality (CTQ), namely broken and cracked, while souvenir products that often experience defects are Plaque products, Key Chain products, and Sitting Clock products which are then obtained Defect values. per Million Opportunity (DPMO) obtained for Broken defects is 11029 and for Cracked defects is 3676 while the sigma value obtained for Broken defects is 3.79 and for Cracked defects is 4.18. The company strives to be able to implement six sigma with the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) stages to improve quality with the hope that there will be no defects or zero defects. Abstract

Duck eggs are a source of animal protein that has a delicious taste, easy to digest and highly nutritious so that it is loved by many people. In addition, eggs are easily damaged by the length of the trade chain and the improper storage process. The processed form of duck eggs, which until now is the best known and most favored by the people of Indonesia, is salted eggs. This study aimed to determine the effect of soaking salted eggs in bay leaf juice (Eugenia polyantha Wight.) at different concentration levels on the content of free fatty acids (FFA), total volatile bases (TVB) and antioxidants in smoked salted eggs. The experimental design used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications. The treatments consisted of: P0= Duck eggs + 0% bay leaf juice, P1 = Duck eggs + 25% bay leaf juice, P2 = Duck eggs + 50% bay leaf juice, P3 = Duck eggs + 75% bay leaf juice, P4 = Duck eggs + 100% bay leaf juice. The results showed that the effect of using salted egg soaking in bay leaf juice (Eugenia polyantha Wight.) showed a very significant effect (P<0.01) on FFA, TVB and antioxidants. It was concluded that the addition of bay leaf juice with a concentration of 25 to 100% in smoked salted eggs was able to reduce the number of free fatty acids, reduce the content of total volatile bases (TVB) and increase antioxidant activity. The use of the best concentration of 100% bay leaf juice is the lowest FFA 0.10 (%), the lowest TVB 2.32 (mgN%) and the lowest antioxidant 88.59 (mg/g). The uniformity test states that the 6 anthropometric data were uninformed, and the data sufficiency test shows that the results of data processing were sufficient to represent all samples (N '<N). The results of testing and calculation of percentiles can be measured in redesign ergonomic efficient rubbish bin based on anthropometric data in the form of LB (P5: 34.61 cm), TKT (P95: 81.75 cm), TPB, (P95: 106.67 cm), LTT (P95: 10.28 cm), LTK (P95: 11.95 cm), JTD (P95: 83.27 cm). Therefore, the redesign of the rubbish bin has been determined in an ergonomic size so that it can be used practically, safely, and comfortably. Abstract

Feed is important component in the livestock industry. Feed quality provide optimal production in this industry, and vice versa. The cost of feed can reach 60-85% of the cost of production, so the emphasis on feed costs needs to be considered. Industrial waste has the potential to be used as a source of feed, one of which is waste from a tofu factory, namely tofu dregs. Tofu dregs contain high crude protein and high palatability value. The high potential of tofu dregs to be used as a source of animal feed, prompted researchers to conduct a study on the potential use of tofu dregs from the Lin's Kuok tofu factory as a source of protein in beef cattle rations. The results showed that Lin's Kuok Tofu Factory's production of tofu dregs in % DM was 31.44 Kg/day CP, CP 9.53 Kg/day, TDN 24.49 Kg/day. The usability of tofu dregs from Lin's Kuok Tofu Factory is (DM) 5.03 AU, CP 14.44 AU and TDN 5.69 AU. Keywords: Rations; Tofu Dregs; Feed animal.

Abstract

Abstract PKS PT. XXX produces ± 49,645 tons of empty fruit bunches, which is an average of 16.16% (Dok Sam 2019) of TBS processed for a year. This is less effective and there are still Unstripped Bunch (USB) which are attached to the garden area where the Empty away application is applied. From the results of the study to overcome the problem of loose loose bunches that are still in empty bunches, the Unstripped Bunch Machine (USB) Crusher unit is designed with specifications that have been adjusted and the design is made sturdy and will be directly applied in real form using the Value Engineering method, the results The reality of this machine unit is that it can reduce the loose losses in empty bunches and can reduce operator performance. The stages used in this method are the information stage, the creativity stage, the analysis stage (analysis of creative ideas, raw material costs, anthropometry, and raw material analysis).
