Abstract

The use of toilets in Indonesia mostly uses the squat toilet type. The squat toilet is a type of toilet that is comfortable and stable in its use. The type of squat toilet in Indonesia, especially in Riau, has the most widely used toilet for adults, this is very difficult for young children in a smaller time span than adults so that children are not comfortable and stable when using a squat toilet. The service method was carried out at the Aqila Kids PAUD Post in Rimbo Panjang Village, and was attended by 15 students along with parental assistance. The result of this socialization is that it can increase knowledge about the distance between children's feet by measuring the distance between the legs when children squat, education on the importance of using squat toilets from an early age and knowledge in using squatting toilet training. The empowerment of teachers and parents in monitoring the use of squatting toilet training is expected to be realized properly by presenting several examples of squatting properly and correctly so as to create a comfortable and safe atmosphere.

Abstract

Abstract Garbage is something that disturbs and affects the community environment. Organic waste comes from living things, both humans, animals, and plants, so that it can be used for animal feed which is processed by chopping. As for the results of field observations at the Bangkinang Kota market, it can be seen that organic waste types of cabbage and mustard are commonly found in the Bangkinang Kota market, organic waste such as carrots, tomatoes, chilies, potatoes and kale are found in many trash cans but the amount is less, this type of waste dry. For the Bangkinang City area, waste transportation is carried out 2 (two) times a day, namely in the morning and evening. The most waste generated is on Wednesdays and Sundays, because those days are market days in Bangkinang Kota. The waste generated reaches 1-2 tons per day. The organic waste chopper generally consists of a frame, top casing, bottom casing, inlet, outlet, axle, bearing, and blade. The manufacture of this tool at the Laboratory of Industrial Engineering, Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. The design and manufacture of organic cattle feed chopper has a size of 38 cm, width 51 cm and height 120 cm, using a 7 hp/5600 rpm diesel engine with a weight of 72 kg. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that organic mixed vegetable waste weighing 2 kg only takes 22 seconds faster, while cabbage weighing 2 kg takes 37 seconds and mustard greens weighing 2 kg takes 29 seconds. The amount of organic waste that is chopped as much as 6 kg only takes 88 seconds. Keywords: Design, chopper, organic waste.

Abstract

PT. Mitra Bumi is a company operating in the palm oil sector that produces CPO and so far wants to know the level of productivity. OMAX is a partial productivity measurement system developed to monitor productivity in each part of the company with productivity criteria that are appropriate to the existence of that part (objective). Productivity is an important factor to support the survival of a company by analyzing and evaluating the output obtained based on its level of performance during a certain period. To find out the current level of productivity in the production department, it is necessary to measure productivity, because the results of this productivity measurement can be used as a consideration for implementing efforts that can be made to increase the company's productivity. Productivity measurements at PT Mitra Bumi are carried out using the method, objective matrix analysis (OMAX). The criteria used in this research are raw material productivity, effective working hours productivity, machine working hours and production effectiveness. The highest productivity index value was in July with a total value of 112.00%, while the lowest value was in June with a value of -91.33%. The cause and effect diagram is used to determine the causes of the decline in productivity in the CPO production section. As a result, production productivity at PT Mitra Bumi was influenced by factors that caused productivity to decrease, namely damage to the tippler machine, unsuitable raw materials, and less skilled operators
