Abstract

This study aims to improve motivation and learning outcomes through a problem-based learning model in social studies subjects. This research is class action research carried out in 2 cycles with two meetings in each cycle. The subjects of this study were students of class IX-A MTs Negeri 4 Bantul. The stages in this study include planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection technique carried out is to use questionnaires and observation guidelines. Data analysis techniques use quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed that with the application of the Problem Based Learning model, motivation and learning outcomes of students can be improved. In cycle I the increase in student motivation increased by 78.57% to 92.85% in cycle II. The increase in learning outcomes is evidenced by an increase in the number of students who obtained scores above KKM, namely in cycle I by 64.28%, increasing to 89.28% in cycle II from a total of 28 students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyse the development of students' speaking skills through the story telling method at MTs Negeri 7 Sleman. This research is qualitative research with data collection techniques sourced from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that there are still many students who have difficulty speaking or using the right words to convey ideas. This phenomenon says that teachers in madrassas usually emphasize more on teaching language theory. The teaching of speaking skills in madrassas generally has a lack of quality. In fact, students are still hesitant to express their opinions and are shy when asking questions, indicating that students' speaking skills have not reached their full potential and have not improved. The use of storytelling can be a significant learning tool because it can help teachers manage students' speaking practice procedures. Thus, the strategy of utilizing students to tell stories is useful and provides opportunities for students to listen and understand what they have heard, students can speak fluently, dare to ask, and dare to answer questions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify improvements in learning outcomes of the Quran Hadith through the active sort card learning method in students of grade VIII-C MTs Negeri 3 Sleman Odd Semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a type of classroom action research through two cycles. The subject of the study was a grade VIII-C student at MTs Negeri 3 Sleman. Data collection techniques in the form of learning outcomes tests taken from giving test questions in each cycle, questionnaire results and interviews with students to provide input on the course of the research process. The results showed that the use of active sort card learning methods can improve the learning outcomes of the Quran Hadith. In pretest cycle 1, the grade point average was 72.50 while at the time of post-test the grade point average was 80.00. While in cycle 2 the average pretest score was 73.50 while the post-test average score was 82.00. The classical completeness criteria also increased by 75% (24 students) in cycle 1 and 93.75% (30 students) in cycle 2.

Abstract

This study is classroom action research, aiming to find out whether the PBL learning model can increase students' interest and learning outcomes in science at MTs Negeri 7 Sleman. This research was carried out in two cycles which included planning, action, observing, and reflection activities which were carried out in two cycles. The subject of the study is 7th grade students. Data collection uses observation methods with checklist instruments and performance tests. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed the completeness of classical learning outcomes in the first cycle, namely with an average score of 67.24 and 55.17% (16 students) with the complete category, while in the second cycle there was an increase with an average score of 80.11 and 84.62% (22 students) with the complete category. The conclusion of this study is that the PBL learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students with science material at MTs Negeri 7 Sleman.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are applied in the Madrasah Assessment questions. A qualitative approach combined with descriptive analysis is the research methodology employed. Documentation and in-depth interviews were used to gather data. The analysis's findings indicate that, of the 35 questions examined, 33 belong to the HOTS category and just 2 to the LOTS category. Most of the questions fall into the C4 (analysing) and C5 (evaluating) cognitive levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, as updated by Anderson and Krathwohl. These results suggest that the evaluation at MAN 3 Sleman concentrates on helping students acquire higher-order thinking abilities, which is essential when studying the Qur'an and Hadith. This study does, however, also emphasize the necessity of maintaining a balance between LOTS and HOTS questions in assessments and the significance of continuous teacher preparation for creating HOTS questions. To guarantee the successful use of HOTS questions, legislators in the field of education must also provide their support. It is therefore intended that examinations will be more successful in equipping pupils with strong critical, creative, and analytical thinking abilities to meet problems in the future.

Abstract

The formation of organizational culture in Islamic educational institutions is an important element that affects the performance and success of the institution. This study aims to analyse the process of forming organizational culture in Islamic educational institutions through the perspective of the epistemological structure of Kuntowijoyo culture. The method used in this study is a literature study, by examining various relevant literature related to organizational culture, Islamic education, and Kuntowijoyo's thought. The epistemological structure of the Kuntowijoyo culture includes three main components: objectification, subjectification, and intersubjectivities. The results of the study show that Islamic values are objectified in the vision, mission, and policies of Islamic educational institutions; subjectifies through the internalization of these values by individuals in daily practice; and intersubjective through social interaction within the institution. The consistent application of Islamic values in all aspects of the organization has proven to be important in shaping and maintaining a strong organizational culture that is aligned with Islamic principles, which ultimately improves the quality of education and the formation of students' character.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes using a cooperative learning method with a snowball throwing model. This study uses the classroom action research method with qualitative descriptive analysis. Data is collected through observation, documentation, and reflection. The subject of the study was a student of class X Rpl A at SMK Negeri Purwosari. The results showed that cooperative learning using the snowball throwing model could increase learning outcomes by 22% from an average of 54.2 to 66.2. This learning can also increase student activity by 53%. The snowball throwing model can also train students' leadership potential, skills, and creativity.

Abstract

This study also aims to describe the validity, effectiveness of the development of differentiated teaching modules to increase students' creativity in making observation reports. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with ADDIE's development steps consisting of several stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The assessment instrument used by the researcher is in the form of a validation and practicality sheet, then the assessment instrument is validated by three validators, namely content validators, language validators and graphics validators, then the practicality sheet is determined by practitioners. The results of the validity of the Teaching Module carried out by the validator team obtained an average validity score of 9% categorized as very valid. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness test showed the completeness of students' effective student learning outcomes with an average score of 92%. In addition, the average score of the practicality test results by educators of 93.45% is categorized as very practical. The results of the development of differentiated teaching modules are very valid, effective, and practical in increasing students' creativity in making reports on observation results in Indonesian Language subjects.

Abstract

This study was focused on identifying the increase in student creativity in project-based learning in classes that use the Simurelay application with classes that use powerpoint as a learning medium, and there are significant differences between the two classes. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design of a design. This study involved the population of students in class XI TITL SMK YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo. The research sample of 76 students was divided into 38 students in the control class and 38 in the control class who were selected with the purposive sampling technique. The data collection instrument was in the form of 30 multiple-choice questions. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of data analysis showed that there was an increase in creativity before and after being treated in the experimental class with an average score of 19.79 with the category of moderately creative while in the control class obtained an average score of 15.18 with the category of non-creative. There was a significant difference in creativity between the two classes with (t-count = 6.8778 > t-table = 1.993) at a significance level of 5%. The application of the PjBL learning model assisted by Simurelay in the category is quite effective in increasing the creativity of students in class XI TITL SMK YPM 1 Taman Sidoarjo. In this study, students showed an excellent response after the learning model was applied.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and describe the special services available in MTs Negeri 4 Kulon Progo including library, health, counselling guidance, and security services as an integral part of the education management component. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that, first, library services at MTs Negeri 4 Kulon Progo are managed by adopting management functions, including planning, procurement, inventory, use, maintenance, smelting, and development. Both health services are carried out guided by the Trias UKS program, including health education, health services, and fostering a healthy environment for madrasas. The three guidance and counselling services are carried out by Guidance and Counselling (BK) teachers by focusing on four, namely personal, learning, social, and career services. Fourth, security services focus on guarding madrasah assets in the form of valuables, facilities and infrastructure. Security services are also carried out by providing safety assistance for all madrasah residents when entering the madrasah environment.
