Abstract

Consumptive behavior among students is common, caused by environmental pressures to maintain a certain lifestyle and a lack of financial literacy. The purpose of this study is to determine whether lifestyle and financial literacy have a positive and significant effect on the consumptive behavior of students at the Keling Kumang Institute of Technology. This study used a sample of 84 students calculated using the Slovin formula, consisting of 3 study programs from semesters 1 to 6 with a random sampling technique because each member of the population had an equal chance of being selected, so that the sample results were more representative and unbiased. The analysis tool used was SPSS 27 V, performing all statistical tests up to the conclusion stage. The results of the study prove that lifestyle and financial literacy have a positive and significant effect on student shopping behavior, as can be seen from the F test, where Fcount is 13.276, which is greater than the Ftable value of 3.109 with a significance level of 0.000. However, partially, financial literacy has a negative effect on students' consumptive behavior, indicating that when knowledge of financial management is limited, a person will tend to behave consumptively.

Abstract

Social media is currently an effective marketing tool for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Emak Cantik Community consists of business actors who utilize social media for marketing. This study aims to confirm the effectiveness of the synergy between product innovation, financial literacy, and market orientation on business performance in the Emak Cantik community, both directly and indirectly through strategic agility. This study employed a descriptive method and quantitative analysis using a questionnaire distributed to 155 respondents who are members of the Emak Cantik community. The results of the LISREL analysis show that strategic agility (48%) and financial literacy (44%) have a significant effect on business performance, while product innovation (5.2%) and market orientation (0.24%) have no effect. Meanwhile, product innovation (42%), financial literacy (39%), and market orientation (51%) have a significant effect on strategic agility. The mediation test shows that strategic agility successfully mediates the influence of product innovation, financial literacy, and market orientation on business performance. The contribution of this study is to provide the latest empirical evidence on the mediation mechanism of strategic agility that can be used as a basis for developing strategies to strengthen MSMEs in the digital era.

Abstract

This study is motivated by an effort to analyze the influence of brand image and low prices on the purchase decision of thrifting products among students in Karawang Regency. Thrifting as an alternative to shopping for clothes at low prices among students. This study applied quantitative methods with a causal approach as well as linear-multiple regression analysis techniques. The sample consisted of 97 students in Karawang Regency who had purchased thrifting products, selected using the lemeshow formula. The findings of the study show that brand image and low prices partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant impact on purchase decisions with an r-square value of 0.884 or 88.4%. Brand image gives confidence in product quality, while affordable prices increase consumer appeal. These results show important implications for thrifting business people in designing effective marketing strategies and for the government to be able to formulate regulations related to the cleanliness of thrifting products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the usage behavior of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services among e-commerce users in Indonesia using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. Four independent variables, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions, were examined, with attitude as a mediating variable. Data were collected from 340 respondents from Generations X, Y, and Z who had previously used BNPL services through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with 5,000 bootstrapping replications. The results indicate that performance expectancy has the strongest influence on user attitude (β = 0.363), while social influence has the weakest (β = 0.137). Attitude was found to be a crucial mediator linking external factors to BNPL usage. These findings provide theoretical contributions to the literature on financial technology adoption and practical implications for BNPL providers in designing communication strategies, financial literacy education, and supportive infrastructure to ensure more responsible and sustainable BNPL usage.

Abstract

Ideally, capital markets operate efficiently, where stock prices reflect all available information. However, in practice, market anomalies often arise that cannot be fully explained by efficient market theory. This study aims to identify and analyze the types of market anomalies occurring in Indonesia, specifically on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), using a qualitative library research method that employs content analysis and narrative synthesis based on previous studies, books, and relevant scientific sources. The results of the study indicate that several anomalies, such as the day-of-the-week effect, the January effect, market overreaction, and the size effect, still occur in the Indonesian stock market. These findings challenge the assumption of investor rationality and opens up a new discussion regarding behavioral finance approaches. This research contributes to enriching the literature on Indonesian capital market behavior and serves as a reference for investors and regulators in understanding patterns of price irregularities that can influence investment strategies.

Abstract

This study was conducted to identify the influence of Information Quality and Investment Experience on Cryptocurrency Investment Intention. The rapid development of technology and digitalization processes has driven significant transformations in the financial sector, particularly with the emergence of modern investment instruments such as crypto assets. The increasing number of investors in Indonesia highlights the importance of understanding the psychological and informational factors that influence individuals’ decisions to invest in cryptocurrencies. A quantitative method was employed in this study. Furthermore, the researcher distributed questionnaires to 354 respondents residing in Surabaya City who had prior investment experience. A multiple linear regression technique was applied with the assistance of SPSS version 25 software. The findings indicate that Information Quality and Investment Experience have a positive and significant influence on Cryptocurrency Investment Intention. This means that higher levels of information quality and investment experience positively affect individuals’ intentions to invest in crypto assets. Based on the Standardized Coefficients (Beta) values, the Information Quality variable shows an influence of 0.150, while the Investment Experience variable has a higher influence of 0.592, thus, Investment Experience plays a more dominant role compared to Information Quality in shaping cryptocurrency investment intention. The findings emphasize that practical experience in investing contributes more strongly to individuals’ intentions than merely relying on the quality of available information. Theoretically, this research enriches the literature on investment behavior in the digital era, while practically, it provides insights for financial industry players and digital asset platforms to enhance user education and experience, thereby promoting healthier and more sustainable investment intentions.

Abstract

Generation Z as digital natives have unique food consumption patterns that potentially influence national food security. This study aims to analyze Generation Z's consumption patterns and perceptions of food security and develop a conceptual framework to optimize their participation. Using a mixed method approach, the research was conducted on 150 STIEPARI Semarang students through online surveys, digital food diaries (30 respondents), Focus Group Discussions (32 participants), and in-depth interviews (10 informants). Data were analyzed using descriptive-inferential statistics and thematic content analysis with phenomenological approach. Results show 73.3% of respondents prefer practical food with fast food consumption frequency of 4.2 times per week and 45.7% make purchases through online platforms. Despite limited conceptual understanding of food security (70% of informants), Generation Z demonstrates high environmental awareness (78.7%) and optimism towards technological solutions (89.2%). Structural Equation Modeling identifies social media influence as the dominant factor (β = 0.387) affecting consumption behavior. The developed Consumer-Centric Food Security Framework for Generation Z integrates four dimensions: Digital Influence, Sustainability Consciousness, Convenience Orientation, and Technology Optimism. This framework provides strategic guidance to optimize Generation Z's role in food security through digital approaches and technology-based programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image, word of mouth (WOM), and perceived value on repurchase intention among Kahf skincare users in Jepara. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method and data analysis based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The sample consists of 96 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire to measure the studied variables. The results show that the repurchase intention of Kahf skincare users in Jepara is significantly influenced by perceived value and word of mouth (WOM), as evidenced by the t-values of perceived value (4.618) and WOM (2.952), both greater than the t-table value of 1.66 with a significance level below 0.05. Meanwhile, brand image does not have a significant effect, as indicated by a t-value of 1.119 < 1.66 and a significance level of 0.264 > 0.05. These findings indicate that the higher the perceived value and positive WOM, the stronger the consumers’ repurchase intention, whereas brand image alone, without tangible perceived benefits, is insufficient to influence repurchase decisions.

Abstract

Audit delays are a significant issue in financial reporting because they can reduce the reliability of information and create uncertainty for investors. This study aims to understand the impact of operational complexity, audit committee gender, and CEO financial expertise on audit delays in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021-2023 period. This study uses a quantitative research design utilizing secondary data compiled from corporate annual reports. Using purposive sampling, 52 companies were selected, contributing 156 observations, and data processing was performed through multiple linear regression to evaluate the relationship between variables. The results show that operational complexity and CEO financial expertise do not have a significant effect on audit delays. Conversely, audit committee gender has a significant negative effect, meaning that the presence of women on audit committees can accelerate the completion of the audit process. These findings support corporate governance theory, which asserts that gender diversity can improve the effectiveness of oversight and regulatory compliance, thereby reducing the potential for audit delays. Furthermore, the results of this study contribute practically to the interests of regulators and companies in promoting timely financial reporting.
