Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the presence or absence of and how much influence the flipped classroom learning model had on the mathematics learning outcomes of fractions. This research was conducted at MI Nurul Huda Candi Sidoarjo for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. This study uses quantitative research with a sample of 40 students. The data collection after the treatment was carried out using the Mathematics Learning Outcomes Test for fractions. The results showed that there were differences in learning outcomes between students who were taught using the flipped classroom learning model and students who were taught using the conventional learning model with a value (tcount = 2,041 > ttable = 2, 024) at a significance level of 5%. it can be concluded that there is an effect of the flipped classroom learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at MI Nurul Huda Candi Sidoarjo. The large influence of the flipped classroom learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at MI Nurul Huda Candi Sidoarjo is 6.87%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of effectiveness of using Quizizz media on the academic value of students at SDN Entalsewu class IV Sidoarjo city. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a hypothesis testing method. Homogeneity test and normality test were carried out first. Homogeneity and normality tests were used to determine the level of normality of the data and the distribution of values ​​in the analyzed data. The subjects in this study were 62 fourth grade students at SDN Entalsewu Sidoarjo who had difficulty focusing on doing exercises on PAI Subjects. Data was collected using the Pretest and Posttest tests. Based on the results of the study, there was an increase in PAI learning achievement related to the material of the pillars of faith. This can be seen in the results of the data analysis test using the Paired sample t-test which shows a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. This shows Sig(2-tailed) < 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. In other words, the use of the Quizizz application in PAI learning is effective in improving the achievement results of fourth grade students at SDN Entalsewu Sidoarjo.

Abstract

This study wants to reveal the answer to the problem of the principal in building the image and professionalism of the work in the educational institution he leads. What did the principal do to maintain the school's image and expertise? This is what encourages researchers to analyze the role of school principals in building the image of the institution and work professionalism in the Al-Irsyad Kraksaan Middle School Education environment. This research is a type of qualitative research. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires that researchers can through telephone and documentation. Which researchers use data analysis techniques Triangulation, namely different data collection techniques to obtain data from the same source. Based on the results of the study indicate that the principal in building the image of educational institutions by planning, curriculum development, manpower management, student services, development of learning facilities and resources, innovative learning, teacher motivation, and the presence of internal factors. The impact of this research is expected to be a motivation for the principal for the development of the school he leads.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a person's ability to know and understand the meaning contained in a reading text. Teaching strategy is a teacher’s scheme in teaching and learning process to achieve a aim which have plan. The study aimed to explore teaching strategies and implementation in reading comprehension in seventh grade students at SMPN 2 Jabon Sidoarjo. This research method is qualitative research. The subject of this research is an English teacher at SMPN 2 Jabon Sidoarjo. The research instrument is a checklist of observations and interviews. The results of the study found that there were three strategies used by the teacher, Text-Based Instruction, Finding the meaning (scaffolding) and exercise (online learning). With Text-Based Instruction the teacher provides several steps to improve students' reading comprehension skills, Finding the meaning (scaffolding) strategies to help students develop ideas that can be read by students, and exercises (online learning) to hone students' skills while studying at home.

Abstract

This study aims the problems experienced by the fifth grade ICP students of SD Muhammadiyah 3 Ikrom regarding the relatively low learning outcomes of English. This is due to the lack of motivation during learning and the boredom felt by students. Researchers chose the STAD learning model because it can keep up with the times, namely by using online learning media in the form of the Zoom application. The researcher did a Breakout Zoom to divide the group. This research uses experimental quantitative research methods. The T-test on the SPSS program was also carried out to analyze whether there was an influence and how much influence the student learning outcomes had after the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division learning model. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence from the application of the STAD learning model. There was a significant increase in the average score from Pre-Test to Post-Test. Meanwhile, the magnitude of the effect of the application of the STAD learning model can be seen in the results of the T-test analysis with T-count > T-table, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know how effect picture series on students’ ability in retelling narrative story. The research methodology used in this research is pre experimental design. The result is used to know the effect of picture series through retelling story on students’ speaking narrative. This research was conducted at MTS Muhammadiyah 1 Taman. The sample was chosen from VIII B based on pre observation and pre interview students score that is the lowest of all classes. In collecting the data, this research use pretest and posttest. The test was asked students to perform speak in front of the class in minimal 5 minutes with retell story from picture series. In analysis the data the researcher scoring the score of pretest and posttest, after that drawing the conclusion with computerized of Ms. Excel. Through the analysis of the findings of pre-test and post-test, it can be concluded that picture series gave the positive effect toward students’ speaking ability, this can be seen from the improvement in the score of students in the course. Picture series leads the students’ being self-critical, because they can evaluate their mistakes by their selves. The result of the data revealed after implementing picture series, the students’ speaking scores were significantly better and well improved (the mean of pre-test = 72,43 and post-test = 77,79).

Abstract

This study aims to find out what the role of parents is in cultivating the religious character of elementary school age children during the COVID-19 pandemic and to find out what the religious character of grade 4A students at SDN JEPARA 1/90 is like. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with case studies. This study uses interview techniques, questionnaires, and documentation. The subjects studied in this study were 5 guardians and 5 students in grade 4A. The results of this study are parents act as role models and motivators for children, and the religious character of grade 4A students at SDN JEPARA 1/90 has shown indicators of obedience to Allah SWT, sincerity, responsibility and tolerance.

Abstract

Ability to read has a role which is important for a child's life early because introduce letters to children is the initial step son is able to read and to make a word. This research aims to know the application and the results of the media “Clever Box” against the enhancement of reading in a child group A. This research uses the Research Action Class as one approach to improve the ability to read the child. Implemented in a 2-cycle is divided into three levels namely prasiklus, cycle I and cycle II to get the result with the expected. In the pre cycle yields the value of the prosentase range of actions is as big as 39,66% whereas in cycle I prosentase increased by 61,15% until acquired prosentase value to be 60,34 which means no avail. Then research further by giving the action in cycle II, after having done research on the cycle II of this value prosentase kecapain action be 84,49%, up from the procurement value prosentase in cycle I and cycle II experienced an increase as large as 23,34%. With this can be seen from the comparison between cycle I and II for the research progresses. From the results obtained there is an increase that proves that with the use of the media “Clever Box” can improve the ability of the child's reading.

Abstract

This research motivated by phenomenon students experiencing academic procrastination. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and academic procrastination of students at SMK Krian 1 Sidoarjo. This type of research is quantitative using correlational approach. The population was students of class X and XI totaling 1412 students, class XII wasn’t studied because they had graduated. The research sample was 213 students using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The research data collection technique used the emotional regulation scale (ɑ = 0.800) and the academic procrastination scale (ɑ = 0.917). The data analysis technique uses Pearson's product moment correlation with the help of SPSS 22.0. The results of the analysis research data show the correlation coefficient (r xy) of -0.390 with significance of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there significant negative relationship between emotional regulation and academic procrastination of students at SMK Krian 1 Sidoarjo. The effect of emotion regulation on academic procrastination in the study was 15.2%

Abstract

Reading is a unity of integrated activities that include a variety of activities, such as recognizing letters and words, connect with the sound, as well as draw conclusions about the intent bacaanya. Based on the experience of the researcher, that most of the children of group A in TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 1 Temple, the ability to read A group has not been able to achieve optimal development. It required the application of the card media wall to improve reading skills. This research using the Method of Classroom Action Research to improve their reading skills. This study was conducted in 2 cycles. The study was conducted in three stages namely pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II to obtain the results as expected. In the pre cycle, most children still acquire an average value of 43,0% while in the first cycle the percentage value increases so that the obtained prosentas the value of be is 61.5%, which means less than the maximum. Then the researchers proceeded to give the action in cycle II, after doing research on the second cycle is the percentage of the average value of the child to 84.8%, resulting from the acquisition of the average in cycle I and cycle II increased again. It can be seen from the comparison between cycle I and cycle II during the study. From the results obtained, there is an increase in proving that with the Media Card Wall can improve the reading ability of the children.
