Abstract

Indonesia has thousands of national bridges that are vital for the country's mobility and economy. However, a large number of these bridges are in an unstable condition, posing a serious threat to the security and resilience of infrastructure. To keep the bridge safe and in good working order, ongoing maintenance and maintenance efforts are essential. The implementation of Quality Management Systems (SMM) and Knowledge Bases offers significant potential to improve bridge maintenance performance. However, the application of the Knowledge Base in the context of bridge maintenance is still very limited and has not been fully explored. Therefore, more research is needed to understand its impact and benefits in depth. The development of an effective Knowledge Base model and the integration of SMM in bridge maintenance work is a crucial strategic step to improve the performance and sustainability of bridge maintenance in Indonesia. These measures are expected to make a significant contribution to improving the resilience and safety of national bridge infrastructure.

Abstract

Baby corn production in Indonesia continues to decline due to weed competition with corn plants. Weeds are the main competitors in the process of absorbing nutrients, water, light and space to grow. Weed control using synthetic herbicides can be reduced by using weed extracts as bioherbicides. This research aims to determine the effect of extracts from nutgrass (Cyperus rotundus L.), and whiteweed (Ageratum conyzoides L.) in controlling weeds and determining their effect on baby corn crop yields. The research has been carried out in fields on Brengosan, Sumberdadi, Mlati District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta in March - May 2025. The research used a Randomized Complete Block Design with 7 treatments and 3 replications, namely without bioherbicides, 20% nutgrass extract, 40% nutgrass extract, 60% nutgrass extract, 20% whiteweed extract, 40% whiteweed extract, and 60% whiteweed extract. The resulting data were analyzed using 5% ANOVA and further tested using 5% LSD. The results showed that the treatment of 40% nutgrass extract had the highest weed control effectiveness, which was 77.97%.

Abstract

This study aims to identify how food content creators use communication strategies in TikTok videos to attract attention, engage viewers, and increase interactions. Using content analysis method, this study identifies strategic elements that contribute to effective creator communication. The analysis results reveal that the effectiveness of food content on TikTok depends on various specific communication aspects. Attractive visual support, fast and dynamic narratives, casual and communicative language use, and effective communication strategies to convince audiences are found to be effective in generating video appeal. Furthermore, optimal video shooting techniques, using hooks as attention points at the beginning of videos, and injecting innovative and dynamic editing techniques also play important roles in maintaining audience interest. This research confirms the importance of understanding platform attributes and audience interests when creating content, especially in the food category. These findings can serve as a reference for creators and digital communication practitioners to develop more effective content strategies that align with short video-based social media culture like TikTok.

Abstract

This study investigates a counterintuitive phenomenon in the context of cultural heritage tourism, where the Destination Brand Experience (DBE) dimensions that drive visitor satisfaction differ from those that influence tourist loyalty. The research is conducted at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), analyzing data from 200 respondents who visited the destination after the revitalization process during the 2022–2025 period. Utilizing a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, the analysis reveals that sensory, affective, and behavioral experiences significantly influence visitor satisfaction levels (β = 0.201; 0.301; 0.384; p < 0.05). However, only intellectual experience is shown to have a direct impact on revisit intention (β = 0.177; p < 0.01). This finding challenges the fundamental assumption in tourism literature that satisfaction automatically leads to loyalty. The study contributes to the advancement of destination branding theory by demonstrating that satisfaction and loyalty do not always originate from the same experiences, but instead follow different psychological pathways as explained in Experience Economy Theory. The implication is that cultural heritage destination managers must design strategies that not only aim for short-term satisfaction through entertainment but also foster long-term visitor loyalty by providing transformative educational experiences.

Abstract

The research is motivated by the essential role of transparency in good governance, especially in village development, where public access to information ensures accountability and community participation. Despite the legal framework established by Indonesia’s Public Information Disclosure Law (UU KIP No. 14/2008), many villages, including Pattuku Limpoe, still face significant challenges in implementing effective information disclosure due to technological and resource constraints. This study aims to assess the extent of public information disclosure in village development and identify factors influencing the disclosure process in Pattuku Limpoe Village, Lappariaja District, Bone Regency. A qualitative approach was used to describe community experiences related to the implementation of village development. Data collection methods included direct observation of relevant events, interviews with key informants to gather primary data, and document analysis to review regulations and other materials related to the development process. The findings show that information disclosure in village development has not been fully achieved. The absence of an electronic system, such as a village website, limits the dissemination of information to the public. Furthermore, the lack of trained human resources in information and communication technology further hampers effective public information disclosure. These constraints highlight the need for improved technological infrastructure and capacity building among village officials to enhance transparency and accountability in village governance, in line with public policy objectives and the mandates of UU KIP No. 14/2008.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the absence of application in specific language contact areas, which creates a gap in the study of social motivation as highlighted by Zenner et al. The research aims to identify the ‘social gap’ in the absorption of Chinese loanwords in the KBBI from the perspective of employees at PT. Indonesia Technical Machinery, as well as to analyze absorption patterns using the approach employed by Zenner et al. (2019) to address this gap. This approach refers to the four main theories of Zenner et al. (2019): Social Meaning, Social Identity, Indexicality, and Language Regard, with the benefit of enriching the understanding of social motivation in the process of lexical borrowing. This study analyzes 117 data points using a triangulation method involving questionnaires, comparisons, and literature studies. The data were analyzed through reduction, verification, and presentation using a thematic analysis approach to identify patterns of lexical absorption. The study results reveal the patterns represented by (BE-0-1-D-1-0) and (AD-0-1-D-1-0), with the following explanation: influenced by cultural and environmental backgrounds; not dependent on social strata, occupation, or societal dominance; not influenced by the intended impact of speakers on interlocutors; supporting divergence; non-indexical in nature; and positively perceived.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, perceived organizational support, and work environment on employee engagement among millennial employees in DKI Jakarta, with work-life balance serving as both an intervening and moderating variable. The phenomenon of low employee engagement among millennials has become a major concern, as this generation is characterized by unique traits such as a preference for flexibility, work-life balance, and high expectations of organizational support. To address this issue, the study investigates how internal factors like self-efficacy, as well as external factors such as organizational support and the work environment, can enhance employee engagement through the mediating role of work-life balance. The research employs a quantitative method using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) approach with SmartPLS 4.0 software. Data were collected from 120 millennial respondents working in various industrial sectors in DKI Jakarta through an online questionnaire. The analysis involved validity and reliability tests, structural model evaluation, and hypothesis testing. The results reveal that self-efficacy and perceived organizational support have a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, whereas work environment does not show a significant impact. Furthermore, work-life balance acts as both a mediator and moderator, strengthening the relationship between perceived organizational support, work environment, and employee engagement. These findings highlight the importance of fostering an organizational culture that not only promotes employee involvement but also supports a healthy work-life balance, while simultaneously developing self-efficacy to improve millennial engagement in the workplace.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze factors that affect job satisfaction, namely leadership, skills and work environment on job satisfaction and its implications on employee performance. The data in this study uses primary data, which was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires through google forms. The sampling of this study uses saturated sampling techniques (census), so that the sample used in this study is all employees of PT KAI Karawang Branch which totals 94 people. The test stages carried out are: descriptive statistics, measurement model (outer model), structural model (inner model) and path analysis (path analysis). The testing tool used is SmartPLS. The results of this study show that the variables of leadership, skills and work environment have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Job Satisfaction variables have a significant effect on employee performance. Leadership variables, skills and work environment also have a direct effect on employee performance, but the influence is smaller than the indirect influence, namely through job satisfaction, so job satisfaction is a factor that mediates the influence of leadership, skills and work environment on employee performance.
