Abstract

The activity of Community Development & Empowerment is aiming to train high school teachers in using the Savsoft Quiz application as the assessment tool in daring learning for chemistry subject in High School level. This training was been implemented in SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya since September 2021 which were participated by 5 (five) teachers for chemistry subject. The training method we applied was discussion model and exercise. In this section, some teachers were trained to manage the students and classes, to design the assessment questions-multiple choice, to develop the question bank, to manage the quize/exercise/assignment/test, and reporting the those final results. Our project results display that from 5 (five) teachers for chemistry subject in SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya are capable to complete all tasks and assignments which were given then we provided the training certivicate to them as the proof of their training results.

Abstract

Teachers must work on learning assignments from home (continuously and as a controlled routine) on an ongoing basis and have the potential to be unproductive to work in a completely new environment and without the supervision of a leader (intense). However, there are a number of ways to deal with this problem, especially preventing teachers from being confused in applying appropriate and effective learning models, as well as continuous professional development, they definitely want to be productive in utilizing their time during the Covid 19 pandemic. Time management must be carried out and controlled properly to improve quality. teacher professionalism as a professional educator. The solution, teaching staff is required to be able to design learning media as an innovation by utilizing online media (online). This research is motivated by the learning outcomes of Building Engineering Education students who program Environmental Engineering Courses are still relatively low below a score of 60 (C value). Self-Directed Learning (SDL) is learning in which the conceptualization, design, implementation and evaluation of learning projects are directed by students. The key point is whether students choose to concentrate on learning. This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out online, this is due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Quantitative data in the form of numbers or scores obtained from student learning outcomes tests. The instrument used in this research is the final test of student learning outcomes. The parameters in this study are the learning outcomes and independence of Building Engineering Education students in the Environmental Engineering course. Plans or targets will be published in the Balanga Journal.

Abstract

General Chemistry is one of the compulsory subjects offered in the first year joint lectures at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Department, FKIP Universitas Palangka Raya. The Covid-19 pandemic that has hit countries globally has had its own impacts and challenges for educational institutions, especially universities. Basic chemistry online lectures have combined various platforms such as google classroom, Edmodo, whatsapp groups, and online meetings such as google meet and zoom. However, this platform has some constraints, especially signal constraints, data packets, and management of shared data. Therefore, interactive learning media was developed, which can integrate text, images, audio, video and graphics, namely Android. This study aims to develop android-based general chemistry learning media on organic compound material and describe the feasibility of basic chemistry learning media. The development model used is the DDD-E model. The results of the development showed that the product resulting from the development process is an android-based learning media application in the form of an interactive e-book consisting of lesson plans, concept maps, instructions, materials, laboratory experiments, evaluation and team. Android-based learning media in the form of e-modules is suitable for use in learning Basic Chemistry. The results of the material expert's assessment obtained an average value of 82.14% (Good). The results of the media expert's assessment obtained an average value of 87.5% (Good).

Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to motivate teachers to optimize science practicum activities in elementary schools by using tools in the laboratory or using learning media that utilize tools and materials around the school environment. This PKM activity is carried out by providing training to elementary school teachers with several methods used such as lectures, discussions, questions and answers, demonstrations and simulations. The subjects of this service activity are elementary school (SD) teachers in the Tangkiling area of Central Kalimantan province, which consist of SDN 1 Tangkiling, SDN 2 Tangkiling, and SDN 3 Tangkiling. This service is implemented in the semester 2021/2022 academic year in Palangka Raya. The data analysis technique used in this service activity is to analyze the results that have been achieved through PKM activities which are outlined in the form of activity results at each stage of activity implementation. The outputs of this service activity are: (1) increasing teacher skills in using laboratory equipment and media around the school to optimize science practicum activities at school; (2) A collection of several science practicum instructions that can be used by teachers (trainees) for one of the teaching materials that can be used in schools.

Abstract

This community service aims to introduce and train the scientific teachers using learning method of blended-learning model flipped classroom as a learning model during new era normal. This program is implemented in SMAN 1 Katingan Hilir. Our model is suitably socialized since combining between asynchronous and synchronous in its learning activity. This community service method is arranged in 3 steps such as: (1) Preparation is consisting of requirement analysis, journal, then doing the observation in target area; (2) Implementation is likely conveying the learning matters, FGD, and RPP product development, and (3) Evaluation is discussion and analysis effort to developed RPP product. As the results of our achievements are (1) teachers and students comprehend regarding blended-learning model, (2) Teachers is capable to develop RPP and analyze to contextual RPP product based on flipped classroom. In addition, the output of this program is a RPP in which it is able to be implemented in daily class room.

Abstract

Cracks in concrete cannot be prevented but the size of the cracks can be controlled. Cracks that occur in concrete are strongly influenced by the nature and characteristics of the concrete constituent materials, especially cement and water. Cracks can occur in the fresh and hard concrete phases. Cracks that occur in concrete can be grouped into two, non-structural cracks and structural cracks. There are several types of non-structural cracks such as crazing, map cracking, plastic cracking due to shrinkage, plastic cracking due to settlement, cracking due to drying shrinkage, cracking due to temperature changes, cracking due to chemical reactions. Structural cracks can be caused by the effects of vibration, earthquake and loads that work beyond capacity. Cracks in concrete beams can be in the form of flexural cracks, web shear cracks, flexure-shear cracks, torsion cracks, bond cracks. The failure that occurs in the beam has a close relationship with the pattern of cracks formed. Cracks that occur in the beam must be repaired so that the damage does not get worse and efforts to strengthen the structure to ensure it remains safe

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop teaching material regarding research design in the Electronic Module-based Research Methodology course which consists of problems, theoretical basis, hypothesis submission, research methods and to find out the value of the effectiveness of electronic module teaching materials through limited distribution. This study uses a research and development research method (R&D) with the Thiagarajan 4D model. The results of the validation by material experts were 0,94 in the very high category, while the results of the validation by the media experts were 0,89 in the very high category. The limited trial results showed an increase in the average value of the pre test by 62,45 and post test by 78,53. Therefore, it can be concluded that the electronic module teaching materials for this electronic module can increase understanding in terms of material and are declared fit for use in learning.
