Abstract

The rise of online loans (pinjol) from fintech peer to peer (P2P) occurs due to inevitable technological development. The number of complaints submitted to the Jakarta Legal Aid Institute (LBH) has more than doubled in 6 months. Based on data from LBH Jakarta, there were 4,500 complaints regarding fintech lending as of June 2019. This figure increased from the number of complaints as of early December 2018 which was 1,330 complaints. Due to the fact that many complaints of illegal loans victims, the establishment of cooperation with several relevant agencies including the Indonesian National Police (Polri) formed an Investment Alert Task Force (SWI) to tackle and prevent illegal online loans. This study uses a qualitative case study approach to analyze the negative effects of this phenomenon and answer question related to the strategy of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) through the implementation of Smart policing as an effort to overcome and prevent online loan-based crimes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the competence of principals in implementing total quality management at SMP Negeri 7 Salatiga through entrepreneurial competence with three detailed tasks according to Permendikbud Number 15th 2018 namely: (1) planning an entrepreneurship development program, (2) implementing an entrepreneurship development program, (3) carry out an evaluation of the entrepreneurship program. This research is a qualitative with a phenomenological design. The data sources of this research are principals, teachers, administrative employees. The data obtained were analyzed through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data triangulation is used to check the validity of the data. The results showed that the entrepreneurial competence of the head of SMP Negeri 7 in implementing total quality management was realized by the success of the principal in planning an entrepreneurship development program by forming a team, delegating tasks, coordinating and socializing. In the implementation of the program the school principal succeeded by instilling innovative values, hard work, never giving up, strong motivation bringing the impact of quality improvement. While in the implementation of the evaluation of the entrepreneurship program with supervision, overcoming obstacles, and reporting on the implementation of each program as a reference for the next program.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of managerial ownership, audit committee, independent commissioner, and firm size on integrity of financial statement. This study consists of four independent variables consisting of managerial ownership is proxied by the proportion of share ownership by management, the audit committee is proxied by the number of audit committee meetings, independent commissioners are proxied by the proportion of independent commissioners, and company size is proxied by LN total assets, and one variable dependent namely the integrity of financial statements proxied by earnings management. In this study, there were 84 companies that met the research criteria with the object of research being non-financial industrial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019-2020. The results indicate that managerial ownership, audit committees, independent commissioners, and firm size has simultaneous effect on earnings management. The managerial ownership variable has negative effect on earnings management. The audit committee has no effect on earnings management. Independent commissioners have negative effect on earnings management. Firm size has no effect on earnings management. This research can also be an evaluation material for companies and investors and provide additional information about what factors affect earnings management.

Abstract

The goals of this study are to examine the various types of deixis and identify the most dominant deixis in the Doraemon comic. This study used descriptive qualitative content analysis to analyze deixis in the comic's selected chapter. According to the findings, there are three types of deixis found in comics: person deixis, spatial deixis, and temporal deixis. The deictic words of person deixis are he, it, they (the third person singular personal pronoun), I (the first person singular personal pronoun), your (possesive form of pronoun you), my (possessive form of pronoun I), and our (possessive form of pronoun we). The deictic words of the spatial deixis are that, this, these, those (demonstrative pronoun), and here, there (adverb of place). The deictic word of the temporal deixis is now (adverb of time). Furthermore, the most dominant deixis in the Doraemon comics are person deixis found 48 times, followed by spatial deixis are 11 times, and temporal deixis appear twice.

Abstract

This paper tracks the maladministration of CPO exports by conducting a judicial review of CPO export policies by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. This study uses a normative legal analysis with a field research approach. The results of the judicial review of this study are that the policy of temporarily stopping the export of Crude Palm Oil by the government is entirely appropriate, considering that previously there was maladministration carried out by individuals at the Ministry of Trade involving palm oil entrepreneurs in three companies, the occurrence of export permits has entered the criteria for maladministration because the three companies The CPO manager does not have an export permit which causes state economic losses due to rising cooking oil prices due to excess CPO being exported.

Abstract

This study intends to examine the impact of free shipping and discounts on consumer purchasing decisions on the Shopee marketplace with advertising as an intervening variable. The Triviona Residential Community in Dusun VI Marindal II, North Sumatra, Indonesia, serves as the study's sample. Probability sampling using a straightforward random procedure and a sample size of 213 participants was the sampling technique employed in this investigation. SEM (Structural Equation Model) is used in this data analysis technique. The study's findings demonstrate that offering free shipping has a positive and significant impact on advertising. While the discount has a negative and insignificant impact on advertising. Free shipping has a negative and insignificant effect on buying choices. Subsequent research has demonstrated that discounts have a positive and significant impact on purchase choices. Purchase decisions are positively and significantly impacted by advertising. Then, through advertising, free delivery has a positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions. Discounts have a negative and insignificant impact on consumer decisions made as a result of advertising.

Abstract

Cybercrime refers to the activity of a crime with a computer or computer network being a tool, target or place where a crime occurs. These include online auctions, cheque forgery, credit card fraud, identity fraud and child pornography and illegal internet access. The development of technology and its application has infiltrated and strongly influenced modern life, even a largeparagraph of business activities has entrusted to such technology, one of which is the banking industry. The purpose of the research in this paper is to analyze cyber crime law enforcement against illegal access to online banking in Indonesia and analyze the punishment of perpetrators of illegal access to online banking in Indonesia. The research uses a normative juridical approach that emphasizes literature research. In this study, what is used is the Statutory approach, the conceptual approach, the differential approach, the case approach, and the historical approach. The sources of Legal Materials used are primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. The analysis of the legal materials used is qualitative.  Based on research, it shows that the law enforcement used as the legal basis for cybercrime cases is Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE). With the ITE law, it is hoped that it can protect the public of information technology users in Indonesia. This is important considering the increasing number of internet technology users from year to year. The increasing use of the internet on the one hand provides many conveniences for humans in carrying out their activities, on the other hand making it easier for certain parties to commit criminal acts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and explain the direct influence of organizational culture on competence, the indirect influence of organizational culture on lecturer performance through competence. Analyze and explain the direct effect of work ethic on competence and indirect effect of work ethic on lecturer performance through competence. Analyze and explain the influence of competence on lecturer performance. The object of research at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University. Sampling _ as many as 72 respondents. The sampling technique is saturated sample. The analytical method used is path analysis with the help of SPSS 21. The results of this research descriptively, respondents' responses to organizational culture stated that they agreed with a mean value of 3.91. Respondents' responses to work ethic stated that they strongly agreed with a mean value of 4.32. The results of the hypothesis test prove that organizational culture with indicators: systems, norms, rules, beliefs, and shared expectations have a significant positive direct effect on competence. Significance value (0.027 < 0.05). Organizational culture has a significant positive indirect effect on lecturer performance through competence (0.031 < 0.05). The hypothesis is accepted. This shows that an organizational culture that is well implemented and adhered to by all individuals can improve competence as well as improve lecturer performance through competence. Work ethic with work indicators is grace, work is a calling, work is actualization, work is service, has a significant positive direct effect on competence. Significance 0.013 < 0.05. Work ethic has a significant positive indirect effect on lecturer performance through competence. Significant 0.019 <0.05. it shows that work ethic can increase competence and indirectly improve lecturer performance. The application of the work ethic must be maintained. Competence with indicators: Knowledge, skills, concepts, personal characteristics, motives have a significant effect on lecturer performance with indicators: loyalty, work performance, responsibility, obedience, honesty, cooperation and initiative. Significance value 0.003<0.005. If the competence is increased by one interval, the lecturer's performance will increase.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence is the ability of a person to know one's feelings for oneself or others, and encourage oneself to be able to control one's emotions well and behave in a scientific manner that is able to accept the opinions of others. X IPA at state high schools in all sub-districts. This type of research uses qualitative with the method used is descriptive. The population used was 6 public high school teachers in Pangakatan District, while the total sampling sample consisted of 6 State Senior High School teachers in Pangkatan District, Data collection techniques were carried out by giving direct interviews and questionnaire responses to teachers regarding the emotional intelligence of biology teachers to students by direct distribution instruments in the form of questionnaires and questionnaires The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis before carrying out descriptive analysis. The results of the study are that teachers who recognize self-emotions get a score of 65.92% then teachers who can manage their own emotions get 56.85% results, then teachers who can motivate themselves themselves get 62.42% results, and teachers who can recognize other people's emotions get 44.68% results and teachers who can build relationships with other people get 57.81% results. There are still teachers who have not been able to control the emotional intelligence of Class X IPA students at State Senior High Schools throughout the Pangkatan District.

Abstract

This study purposes to describe and observe the types of implicatures found in speech of Michelle Obama within the Democratic National Convention in 2020. Based on analytical methods and procedures the data, this study uses a qualitative method and descriptive approach, since the production of described data is in the form of written or spoken words by using the transcription. The data in this study are implicature utterances of Michelle Obama in 2020 aired in national media. The main theory of this research is Yule (2006) regarding to implicature categories and presupposition. The data were collected using the manual method of listening and note taking. This method is realized by using basic techniques and advanced techniques. The basic technique used is tapping technique as the video may be replayed several times. While the advanced technique used is the free-involvement listening technique, recording technique and note-taking technique. Based on the results of the analysis found 4 types of implicatures used in speech, yet the whole data analyzed shows only two categorizes; generalized and particularized conversational implicature. Based on the data analysis, there are 78% data show the generalized conversational implicature, while the rest 22% leads to particularized conversational implicature. It can be inferred that Michelle Obama speech in Democratic National Convention in 2020 applied generalized conversational implicature.
