Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of the BI Rate, CAR, ROA, FDR, as well as Murabahah and Musyarakah financing, on the market share of Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) in Indonesia. Using quantitative panel data regression on quarterly data from 7 BUSs covering the period 2015-2024, the study found that all tested variables significantly affect market share. The BI Rate, as a macroeconomic factor, showed significance, indicating the sensitivity of Islamic banking to external economic conditions and monetary policy. Internal factors such as CAR (Capital Adequacy Ratio) and ROA (Return on Assets) positively and significantly influenced market share, aligning with Islamic economic principles of maintaining stability and wealth. FDR (Financing-to-Deposit Ratio) also had a positive effect, highlighting the link to real sector financing. On the product side, Murabahah, the dominant financing contract, proved individually significant. Musyarakah, although less utilized due to higher risk, also exerted a positive influence, underscoring the potential of Profit-Loss Sharing (PLS) schemes in Islamic finance. Overall, the findings indicate that BUS market share is influenced by a combination of external factors (BI Rate), internal health (CAR, ROA), and a focus on real sector financing (FDR, Murabahah, Musyarakah), implying a connection between the fundamental performance of Islamic banks and the real sector they finance.

Abstract

In today’s digital age, data analytics has become a powerful tool for enhancing public relations (PR) strategies, especially in public sector institutions like the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). This study explores the role of data analytics in enhancing public relations (PR) practices within the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). As public institutions face growing demands for transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement, the integration of data-driven strategies in PR becomes increasingly vital. This research examines how data analytics tools and techniques can support the NCS in monitoring public sentiment, evaluating communication effectiveness, managing crises, and shaping strategic messaging. Using content analysis data from media sources, and operational metrics, the NCS can foster a more responsive and informed public relations framework. The paper highlights case examples, identifies current challenges, and offers recommendations for institutionalizing data analytics in PR operations to build trust, improve public perception, and support organizational goals within the broader context of digital governance in Nigeria. The paper concludes that in an era where data-driven decision-making defines institutional credibility and stakeholder engagement, the Nigeria Customs Service stands to gain significantly by integrating data analytics into its public relations practice.

Abstract

Customer trust is a critical element in ensuring operational continuity and success of a marketplace platform. Shopee, one of the largest marketplaces in Indonesia, strives to increase customer satisfaction through various innovative programs, one of which is the Timely Guarantees Program based on the kafalah bil ujrah. This study aims to analyze kafalah bil ujrah in the timely guarantees program at shopee to increase customer satisfaction and user confidence in the marketplace in terms of delivery accuracy. This study aims to analyze kafalah bil ujrah in the timely guarantees program at shopee to increase customer satisfaction and user confidence in the marketplace in terms of delivery accuracy. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 300 respondents who are active shopee users. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The results showed that the implementation of the timely guarantees program using the kafalah bil ujrah contract significantly affected customer satisfaction. With this warranty, customers feel safer and more confident in making transactions. Descriptive analysis shows that the majority of respondents are satisfied with the timely guarantees program implemented by shopee. The results of multiple linear regression tests state that the variables of the timely guarantees program (x1) and the kafalah bil ujrah contract (x2) significantly affect customer satisfaction (y). The novelty of this research is that the significance of these results reinforces the importance of the guarantee mechanism in increasing customer trust and satisfaction on e-commerce platforms. The benefits of research are that it can increase trust with a clear time guarantee and certainty in claim settlement can increase trust in the shopee platform and provide a better understanding of the kafalah bil ujrah contract (guarantee on the basis of ujrah or fee) which may not be widely known by customers and sellers.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of e-learning and the campus environment on students' learning motivation and interest, as well as the mediating role of learning motivation. Using a quantitative causal methodology, the research involved 100 undergraduate students from Undiknas Denpasar, with data collected via questionnaires. Analysis was conducted using Microsoft Excel on responses from 130 students in various engineering disciplines through Google Forms. Findings reveal a significant positive effect of e-learning and the campus environment on learning motivation, with 46% of respondents highly satisfied with E-Learning (E-Campus UPB), 50% satisfied with campus facilities, 59% stating that media and facilities support their motivation, and 49% acknowledging the influence of these factors on their learning interest at the Faculty of Engineering UPB Cikarang.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology (IT) requires educational institutions to implement effective IT governance aligned with organizational business strategies and operations. This study aims to evaluate the capability level of IT governance at the Information and Communication Technology Unit (UPT TIK) of Tadulako University using the COBIT 2019 framework, with a focus on two specific processes: APO12 (Managed Risk) and APO13 (Managed Security). A mixed-methods approach was employed, including data collection through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The Guttman scale and capability level calculations were used for analysis. The findings indicate that the current capability level for APO12 is at level 2, and APO13 is at level 1, whereas the desired target for both is level 4. This significant gap highlights the need for improvements in IT governance. Strategic recommendations based on the COBIT 2019 guidelines are proposed to help the institution achieve its target capability levels.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and understand about Criminal Liability for Internet Pornography Perpetrators in the Application of the Principle of Lex Specialis Derogat Legi Generalis in the Perspective of Criminal Law. This type of research uses a descriptive analysis research method, namely a method that describes and explains a fact or reality systematically. The legal materials used are primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. Discussion Results: The Pornography Law does not expressly eliminate the crime of pornography in the Criminal Code or the ITE Law, but still applies the Criminal Code and the ITE Law for several other cases of pornography crimes. In certain cases and circumstances with stronger legal reasons, the crime of pornography in the Criminal Code or the ITE Law can be applied. In a case of pornography crime, criminal liability for perpetrators of pornography on the internet can be applied through the principle of lex specialis derogat legi generali, which means that special law overrides general law. Criminal liability for perpetrators of pornography via the internet In the Application of the Principle of Lex Specialis Derogat Legi Generalis is regulated in Articles 29 to 38 of Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography. That this Law specifically regulates pornography so that general legal rules can be set aside by using specific legal rules.

Abstract

The purpose of study was to analyze the effect of service quality., customer value and company image on customer loyalty at PT. BNI Syariah Tanah Abang Branch. The type of research is quantitative. The data source of study is primary data derived from the sample, namely the customers of PT. BNI Syariah Tanah Abang Branch. Data collection was done using purposive sampling by spreading to 100 respondents. This study uses multiple linier regression analysis method. The results of study show that 1) service quality doesn’t significantly influence customer loyalty. 2) customer value significantly influences customer loyalty. 3) company image significantly influence customer loyalty, and 4) service quality, customer value and influential company image significantly influence customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of discipline, work motivation, and career development on the performance of civil servants at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Maluku Province. The results of the tests show that discipline (X1) and career development (X3) have a significant effect on performance (Y), while work motivation (X2) does not. The regression coefficient for discipline is positive (0.421), indicating that an increase in discipline directly impacts improved performance. Simultaneously, the three variables contribute 75.5% to performance, with the remaining influence being attributed to other factors. The adjusted R² value is used to ensure the accuracy of the model in measuring the effect of independent variables on performance. It is recommended that agency leaders continue to enhance discipline and provide career development opportunities for employees. Additionally, strategies to improve work motivation should be evaluated to have a more significant impact on performance. Management should prioritize the establishment of a consistent work discipline culture and provide clear and structured career development paths for civil servants. This is crucial to foster optimal performance and improve organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

This paper examines media portrayals of children in contexts of conflict and migration, interrogating the narratives, visual representations, and framing strategies employed in both global and local media. Using secondary data, the paper explores how children are often depicted as passive victims, security threats, or symbols of hope, rather than as agents with voices and rights. It investigates whose perspectives dominate the storytelling, whether those of journalists, governments, aid agencies, or the children themselves, and the implications of such representations for public perception, humanitarian response, and policy advocacy. The paper calls for more inclusive, context-sensitive, and child-centred reporting frameworks that recognize children not merely as subjects of pity or fear, but as individuals with agency, resilience, and stories worth telling on their own terms. This paper has shown that mainstream media often depict children through reductive frames, either as passive victims or as security threats, thus stripping them of agency and voice. These portrayals are frequently influenced by geopolitical interests, cultural biases, and editorial agendas that prioritize sensationalism over complexity. While some media efforts attempt to humanize children and highlight their resilience, structural limitations and editorial conventions often impede more balanced storytelling. A child-rights-based and ethical media framework is therefore essential to ensure that children's experiences are accurately and respectfully represented.

Abstract

Misinformation is a problem that is much more prevalent in the social media than the traditional media. The social media is a sphere where individuals are both producers and consumers of information and so because of this a lot of information sent out during the Covid pandemic were sometimes misleading as individuals who sent out these messages have little or no regard for journalistic ethics. The impact of the covid-19 pandemic cannot be overlooked due to the flood of information that was spread about on the social network which could be false or true. The aim of the study is to find out if audiences consider the Covid-19 information from WhatsApp and Facebook as being credible and identify the perception of the audience on forwarded messages on Covid-19. The study adopts the Source Credibility as theoretical framework. The survey research method was adopted using questionnaire as the research instrument. The sample size for this study was 400 respondents selected from the total number of the population in Ikorodu; Maya and Ijede as study areas and only a total of 383 were collated and analyzed. The study used the stratified sampling technique. The findings show that majority of the audience make use of social media a lot and that during the Covid-19 pandemic they majorly got information from their social networks most especially WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook and findings revealed that audience considers all Covid-19 related messages on their Facebook and WhatsApp pages credible enough and are likely to forward them but in the intent to inform and not deceive. This study recommends that users of social media should properly verify information before forwarding them as this will ensure that the problem of misinformation is curbed in order to avoid individuals making agitated decisions regarding their health as regards the Covid-19 pandemic and other issues arising.
