Jurnal Pengabdian pada Masyarakat PATRIA diterbitkan oleh LPPM (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat) Universitas Katolik Soegijapranata memuat berbagai artikel ilmiah yang menyajikan implementasi berbagai disiplin ilmu yang bersinergi dengan masyarakat untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada dan memberikan pelayanan pada masyarakat. Sesuai namanya, PATRIA adalah bangsa, dalam hal ini Jurnal ini berkeinginan memberikan wadah untuk tulisan-tulisan yang berkontribusi dalam memberikan pelayanan pengabdian bagi bangsa Indonesia. Tulisan dalam jurnal ini untuk diseminasi gagasan dan hasil penellitian yang dapat diterapkan dalam masyarakat untuk kemudian mampu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan Jurnal Patria ini adalah membantu menyebarluaskan berbagai aktifitas dan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dari berbagai ide, pikiran, maupun integrasi dari berbagai disiplin ilmu. Jurnal ini terbit dua kali dalam setahun yakni Desember dan Juni.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabmas ini adalah merubah pola pikir dari anggota unit simpan pinjam ALDEWIS dari pola konsuntif menjadi berorientasi tujuan produktif dengan tolok ukur yang bisa digunakan adalah berapa banyak dari jumlah anggota ALDEWIS yang mempunyai unit usaha informal sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan abdimas dilaksanakan, membangun jejaring dengan instansi terkait seperti lembaga-lembaga social (Lembaga zakat, dll) untuk menambah kapasitas jumlah dana yang disalurkan baik secara kuantitas maupun kualitas, memotivasi para anggota ALDEWIS untuk hidup sederhana dan gemar menabung dan memotivasi para anggota ALDEWIS untuk melakukan usaha dengan keputusan yang terinformasikan, dalam arti sudah mempertimbangakan informasi keuangan yang relefan serta aspek-aspek maqosid syariah.Pengabmas ini dilakukan dengan kegiatan dengan konsep berbasis diskusi interaktif untuk semua anggota unit simpan pinjam ALDEWIS, dengan fokus utama untuk memotivasi para anggota ALDEWIS, untuk pemanfaatan dana pinjaman berorientasi produktif dan tidak semata-mata konsumtif. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan konsep berbasis kelompok, dengan satu kelompok terdiri dari 5 orang Ibu RT dengan fokus utama pada kegiatan produksi dan marketing produk jajanan pensupply warung angkringan di wilayah perumahan Pucanggading. Pengabmas ini menggunakan pendekatan yang komprehensif, karena melibatkan kelompok Ibu RT anggota unit simpan pinjam ALDEWIS, tim FE Unissula, LPPM Unissula.

Abstract

The purpose of IbW activities is to solve problems faced by the community (KUB Putri Tirang) whose efforts are not carried out continuously. Implementation Method: 1) Through the process of counseling, training and mentoring at the house of the chairman of the bandeng Group Presto "Putri Tirang" RT 07 RW 03 Tapak village with a pot of Presto with a capacity of 20 kg, the pilot was assisted by instructors. Materials provided: Introduction of materials, tools and pots presto capacity of 20 kg. Strategies: Utilizing the chairman of the group "Putri Tirang", members of the interested group, for training in the development of entrepreneurship making bandeng Presto. Outside activities are expected: The trainees can independently develop the entrepreneurship of making Presto milkfish and meet the needs of Presto bandeng in Semarang City. Knowing the level of profit, return on investment, and break-even point is carried out business analysis. From the calculation, it turns out that the business of making bandeng Presto Household Scale is financially profitable, with a price of Rp 4,868.53, - per head, BEP production of 12 kg (72 heads) per production. Presto's bandeng business "Putri Tirang" resulted from economically profitable innovations so that it needs to be imitated by its members and carried out continuously.

Abstract

Used Cooking Oil has a negative impact if it is dumped carelessly into the environment and has a positive impact if one of them is used is soap. In this study, corn cobs were used. This soap-making dedication activity aims to provide knowledge to the public regarding the economic potential of used cooking oil waste and corn cobs, skills training for the community regarding the processing of used cooking oil and corn cobs as laundry soap. The method is carried out in two stages: (a) Making soap with used cooking oil and corn cobs. Soap making is done using KOH as a reactant and fragrance to provide an attractive soap product. (b) Training activities for the community. Before and after training measured participants knowledge and attitudes with the questionnaire. The training activities were carried out in Kampung Sawah RW 06, attended by 16 participants. The Data analyzed univariate to see the characteristics of respondents and bivariate with a postwar test to assess the increase in knowledge and test Mc Nemar to assess the change in attitudes. There were increasing knowledge from an average of 3,52 to 4,08 (P = 0,004). Attitude changes also occurred before the training of positive attitudes as much as 43% to 94% after training (P = 0,021). The increased knowledge and attitudes that are statistic significan are expected to increase the increase in good behaviour in the processing of household waste, especially processing the waste oil and corn cobs.

Abstract

Every patient has the right to receive healthcare service. However, not everyone has equal access to these services. This problem is especially apparent in patients with disabilities. Duta Wacana Christian University’s Faculty of Information Technology is working alongside Panti Waluyo Hospital in Purworejo to build a priority queueing system for disabled patients. This system is expected to improve patient admission and queueing process. The proposed system consists of a website and a mobile application which has undergo 6 months of continuous development and online mentorship, starting from January 2020 up until June 2020.

Abstract

Freshly graduated students are expected to get a job soon, but the competition in the job-seeking world is getting tougher because the number of fresh-graduate continues to increase from year to year. The first stage of employee selection is administrative selection, which can be done from Curriculum Vitae and Cover Letter sent by applicants. Considering that this first stage is crucial for determining the next stage, CV and CL must be made seriously and with consideration. This training aims to provide provisions in the form of strategies for making CV and CL for students who have just graduated from college. The training was attended by 27 students who are currently taking thesis courses and those who have finished their thesis trial using the online method using cyber.unika.ac.id. The training participants had a positive reaction to this training. In addition, their skills in making CV and CL have also improved, seen from the CV and CL results that were collected by the participants after the training ended.

Abstract

Information Technology has been implemented in some sectors in life. One of them is the usage of Information Technology for online commerce. Mitra Sejahtera Disabled Person Organization has some featured products which are sold locally in some places nearby and only in Gunung Kidul. The usage of Information Technology in marketing will help people to expand the basic consumer and market. On the other hand, Mitra Sejahtera Disabled Person Organization does not have enough access and ability to start and open online shop. Furthermore, the usage of the smartphone for member of Mitra Sejahtera Disabled Person Organization has not been optimal yet, like the utilization of social media as an official account. Training and empowerment activities to Mitra Sejahtera Disabled Person Organization will contribute in increasing and optimizing the utilization of social media and e-commerce. This training and empowerment activities also will give some knowledge to the participant about how to open online shop in one of the biggest online marketplace in Indonesia. The result of this activity is official account in media social. The participant also encouraged and trained to start online shop in one of the biggest online marketplace platform in Indonesia.

Abstract

The city of Semarang is currently improving to actualize the saying of 'Moving Together Building the City of Semarang to Be Better and Great' both physically and non-physically. One of them is through Gerbang Hebat program. It is an activity in reducing poverty and unemployment, improving public services, gender equality and improving education also health as stated in the Sapta program (Reducing poverty and unemployment, Handling Floods, Improving Infrastructures, Improving Public Services and Gender Equality). UNIMAR AMNI Semarang carried out community service activities at Trimulyo village to support the government of Semarang program. It is not only students/cadets and lecturers who carry out community service activities but also the surrounding community. They are very enthusiastic in participating in implementing various program activities carried out at  Trimulyo village. The activity begins with planting mangrove trees, socializing healthy living in an unhealthy environment, training in cooking and tidying up the environment.The method of implementing the activities used is the method of observation, interviews and literature studies. The observation was held in Trimulyo village, sub-district of Genuk. The data collection was carried out through interview methods and as a reference for implementing community service activities was using the literature study method. With UNIMAR AMNI Semarang Gerbang Hebat program at Trimulyo village of Subdistrict Genuk hoped that it can improve the healthy lifestyles and increase the income of the Trimulyo village community.

Abstract

The number of elderly (60-70 years old until death) in Indonesia increases from year to year. In the elderly phase, individuals begin to experience decreased physical function, cognition and relationships with friends. Thus, it is likely that the psychological well-being of the elderly will decline with declined life satisfaction and contribution to their community as the indicators. This community service activity aimed to help the elderly increase their happiness by providing wellness counseling services for 7 sessions (7 weeks). Through the wellness counseling services, the elderly were invited to evaluate their current lifestyle through self-discovery and to design and apply a new, holistic healthy lifestyle (physical-mental-social health) in order to live a life by maximizing self-actualization and contribution to the society. Henceforth the elderly will feel more satisfied with their lives and happier (the state of psychological well-being increases).
