Abstract

This research intends to analyze about the 2013 Curriculum Learning Implementation in SMPN 1 Kramatwatu. This study is a qualitative research with the intent to collect process, analyze, and present the data objectively about the curriculum development in SMPN 1 Kramatwatu. The researcher conducts an observation and interview to collect the data. The result concludes that the school has been considered ready to run the 2013 curriculum with some readiness that has been implemented. The implementation of learning has also been going well in accordance with the applicable curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum. The school has been able to become a pilot project in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum with school readiness, complete facilities and infrastructure, and teachers have mastered the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to find out moral values in Up and Doctor Strange film that can be used as material for teaching character education that involve in curriculum. This research is a qualitative research through content analysis method. The data in this research was collected through documentation and key informant with expert. In analyzing the data, the researcher used character table by Bohlin’s theory (2013) that consists of moral starting point, 1st morally pivotal point, 2nd morally pivotal point, challenge point, and new change. The result of this research showed there are some moral values in Up and Doctor Strange film that can be used as material for teaching character education involve in curriculum. The moral values are responsibility, caring other people, work hard, appreciate achievement of other people, curiosity, like to read and caring environment. These moral values also include in 18 that should be taught by teacher in teaching character education.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to focus on the use of the English Code Mixing in an Indoensian Novel Entitled Teman Tapi Menikah. The writer used qualitative research for conducting the research. The writer determined the reasons and impact of codemixing in after data has been collected. The  aim of study is to investigate the used of English code mixing in Novel Teman Tapi Menikah writers by Ayudia and Dito. This Novel consist of 206 pages, the writer will collect data by reading the Novel and underline the English Code mixing happen in the Novel. It can be concluded that the data of language variation has been elaborated. the writer found the reason for code switching and code mixing in Pojok Kampong news. They are: Easier to Understand, Maintaining Certain Neutrality when both Codes are used, Asserting Power, Pride, and Status, Eliminating ambiguity, Adopts from other language in Javanese, Declaring Solidarity, Expressing Identity, Express Self Emotion, Conveying the Speaker’s Attitude to the Listener, Being more Informative, Being Incompetent in Finding the Appropriate Word.

Abstract

This research tries to find out a direct translation procedures of a bilingual children story book entitled Bonnie dan Perayaan. This research is a qualitative research. The source of data is the bilingual book entitled Bonnie dan Perayaan that contains of 23 pages. The result shows that literal translation is the most dominant direct translation procedure used in bilingual children storybook Bonnie dan Perayaan.  There are 76.2% translated with literal procedure, and 23.8% translated with borrowing procedure. Literal translation becomes the most dominan number because this makes the TL version has closest structure and style as used in the SL.

Abstract

The Objective of the research are: 1) to know the effectiveness of applying Mind Mapping strategy on student speaking ability. 2) to determine the effectiveness of applying Mind Mapping Strategy to student’ speaking ability  3) to ascertain the effectiveness of applying Mind Mapping Strategy to student’ speaking ability. 4) to know the impact of applying Mind Mapping Strategy to student’ speaking ability. The population of the research was all of the six grades student and the sample was VI B with 40 student as an Experimental Class And VI A with 40 student as a control class. The methodology of the research was quasi-experimental design with the equivalent Control group design, in which the writer provided the pretest and posttest which are given to the experimental Class and Control class. The score was taken from the pretest and posttest which are given on the student belong to experimental class and control class. The average score of pretest of experimental class and are 66.625, and posttest score area 79.625, and also the pretest for control class are 64.750 and the posttest are 74.875. To prove the hypothesis, the writer counted the significance by using t test. Based on the distribution table t 5% significance and of 78, the t table is 0,02 0.05(0.050-0.05), so all the t count in the table is higher than t table. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is received.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the morphological errors in the Muhasabah of Sabili Islamic Magazine March 10 edition which are caused by the wrong choice of affixes, wrong rephrasing, wrong composing of compound words, and wrong choice of word forms. The research method used in this research was a qualitative method. The steps taken by the writer in analyzing the data were as follows: (1) counting the number of sentences, (2) identifying sentences, (3) analyzing errors, (4) calculating the frequency of the error, (5) calculating the percentage of error, (6) interpreting the research results, and (7) concluding the research results. The result concludes that (1) the error frequency is 23 cases; (2) the percentage of errors is 43.40%; (3) medium error category (25% - 50%); (4) the morphological error was caused by the wrong choice of affixes, the wrong use of repeating words, the wrong formulation of compound words, and the wrong form; and (5) mistakes that are often made by language users should be reduced or completely eliminated if possible.

Abstract

Translation has an important role especially for people in Indonesia. This is owing to the fact that only little information is available in Bahasa Indonesia. That is, a great deal of information is mostly presented in foreign languages, particularly in English. In this reseach, the writer discusses about translation in school notices school and researchers concent this reseach in one of senior high school in Serang. At this time in various schools the rules for the use of school bulletin boards that are affixed to the walls of the school and the language used in English with varying words have meaning. School notice board is a surface intended for the posting of public messages, for example, to advertise items wanted or for sale, announce events, or provide information. Researchers found that is the existence of writing errors in writing and translating words and also sentences on the school bulletin board because on the basis of a lot of bulletin boards in schools that use English language. In this study the researchers wants to analyze of translation procedures school notices board in senior high school.

Abstract

This paper tries to investigate if there is any positive correlation between personality types (extrovert and introvert), instructional strategies (cooperative and individual learning), and the success of students’ performance in reading comprehension. This is a pilot study which was conducted in one of secondary school in Indonesia. This research employed experimental research. The subjects were forty students. The finding of this study shows that; (1) the success of students’ performance in reading comprehension which applied cooperative strategy is higher than those applied individual instruction. (2) There are no substantial differences in the success of students’ performance   be tween students who have extrovert type of personality and those who have introvert type of personality. (3) There is a positive interaction between instructional strategies and the type of personalities (extrovert and introvert)  on the success of students performance in reading comprehension. (4) The success of extrovert type students in their performance on reading comprehension which applied cooperative strategy is higher than those applied individual instruction. (5) The success of introvert type students in their performance on  reading comprehension which applied individual Instruction is higher than those applied cooperative instruction.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to explore the common personal names used in Banten society based on the gender, to discuss the traditional titles used in Banten society in relation to gender, to explain the gender kinshipterms figures in Banten language, and to find out whether there is kind of gender address names is found at SMAN 3 Kota Serang. In this research, the researcher uses a qualitative research. The data are obtained from the informants. The informant in this research is Bantenese indigenous and the rural common people. The data for this study were collected by means of an interview and liearture review. The result of the research shows that those titles are still found among Banten society recently. The examples of names related to high social status are the previous Banten governor, Ratu Atut Chosiyah;and the current regent of Serang regency, Ratu Tatu Chasanah. Common people’s names related to Banten’s titles are also still exist. Moreover, names in connection with traditional title in Banten are used as names of streets in Banten.

Abstract

The research is intended to analyze the process of curriculum development in Nurul Huda Islamic Senior High School. The research is qualitative research. In collecting data, the researcher uses observation and Interview. The result shows that Nurul Huda Islamic Senior High School as an Islamic institution developes the curriculum by using Qur’an and Hadits as base of every activity including teaching and learning. All students do not only learn science as common as the other students in other schools do, but also many religious subjects are taught and learnt. The main purposes of balancing religious subjects and sciences are because the students that have graduated were hoped to become a well-attitude person with the high quality of science.
