Abstract

Tanaman sambiloto merupakan tanaman herbal yang relatif umum dijumpai ditanam di pekarangan rumah. Tanaman sambiloto memiliki nama ilmiah Andrographis paniculata Ness. Tanaman sambiloto dibudidayakan untuk tujuan tanaman obat – obatan yang dapat menyembuhkan beberapa penyakit. Data hasil sensus pertanian tahun 2013 menunjukkan bahwa luas lahan tanaman sambiloto di Provinsi Papua Barat adalah 336 m2. Sementara rata – rata luas tanam yang diusahakan oleh rumah tangga petani adalah 33 m 2 (BPS, 2015). Bertolak dari pentingnya peranan tanaman sambiloto sebagai tanaman obat dan perlunya peningkatan produksi, maka dirasa perlu untuk melakukan penelitian tentang ketersediaan hara tanaman, khususnya nitrogen untuk menunjang pertumbuhan tanaman sambiloto. Rancangan Percobaan yang digunakan adalah RAKL (Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pupuk urea dengan dosis 300 Kg/ha memberikan hasil yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sambiloto.

Abstract

Ketersediaan hijauan yang semakin terbatas dapat diatasi dengan optimalisasi pemanfaatan hijauan seperti rumput budidaya yang mampu beradaptasi pada kondisi lahan dengan tingkat kesuburan yang rendah dan tanggap terhadap perlakuan pemupukan. Salah satu jenis rumput budidaya yang dapat dibudidayakan adalah rumput raja ( pennisetum purpureophoides) adalah hijauan makanan ternak tropik yang mudah dikembangkan, produksinya tinggi dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai makanan ternak ruminansia (Adijaya et al, 2007). Upaya peningkatan produksi hijauan pada lahan-lahan marginal dapat dicapai dengan melakukan pemeliharaan yang baik. Beberapa jenis limbah kotoran ternak dapat diolah menjadi pupuk cair, yang mempunyai beberapa manfaat diantaranya dapat mendorong dan meningkatkan pembentukan klorofil daun sehingga tanaman menjadi kokoh dan kuat, meningkatkan daya tahan tanaman terhadap kekeringan, cekaman cuaca dan serangan hama dan penyakit, merangsang pertumbuhan cabang produksi, serta meningkatkan pembentukan bunga dan bakal buah, serta mengurangi gugurnya daun, bunga dan bakal buah (Guntoro, 2006). Berdasarkan uraian di atas, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk cair terhadap produksi rumput raja ( pennisetum purpureophoides) . Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan mulai bulan Juni sampai September 2015 di Kebun Praktek, Kampus STPP Manokwari Kelurahan Manokwari Barat. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian adalah jumlah anakan setelah umur tanaman (2, 4, 6, dan 8 minggu), tinggi tanaman (dari pangkal batang sampai ujung daun tertinggi), Berat rumput segar (ditimbang setelah umur 8 minggu/ umur panen) . Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan penelitian pengaruh pemupukan beberapa jenis pupuk cair terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi rumput raja (pennisetum purpureophoides), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemupukan beberapa jenis pupuk cair terhadap komponenpertumbuhan tinggi tanaman tidak berbeda nyata, perlakuan A1( pupuk cair dengan feces sapi) memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap Perlakuan A2 ( pupuk cair dengan feces ayam), A3 (( pupuk cair dengan feces kambing) dan A0 (tanpa pupuk cair).

Abstract

Teknologi fermentasi pakan merupakan salah satu teknologi untuk pengawetan pakan yang sangat diperlukan dalam sistem integrasi sapi tanaman jagung. Teknologi ini menggunakan bakteri asam laktat yang dalam proses fermentasimenghasilkan senyawa tertentu yang menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri pembusuk. Bakteri ini bekerja dalam kondisi anaerob. Dalam sistem integrasi sapi-tanaman jagung dihasilkan limbah kotoran sapi dan limbah tanaman jagung yang berupa daun, batang, kelobot dan janggel. Kotoran sapi dibuat kompos untuk pupuk tanaman jagung.Limbah tanaman jagung dipergunakan untuk pakan sapi. Masalah utama limbah tanaman jagung ini yaitu pada saat panen melimpah sehingga jika tidak segera diberikan ternak akan cepat rusak. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu teknologi pengawetan pakan.Salah satu teknologi tersebut yaitu teknologi fermentasi pakan dengan menggunakan bakteri asam laktat. Bakteri ini dalam limbah tanaman jagung sudah ada, namun untuk mempercepat fermentasi dan meningkatkan kualitas hasil fermentasi perlu ditambahkan bakteri asam laktat. Selain itu kualitas hasil fermentasi dipengaruhi oleh kualitas limbah tanaman jagung. Jagung yang dipanen pada umur lebih muda menghasilkan limbah dengan kualitas lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aimed to: 1). know the percentage of sea sand that gives the best effect on the quality of the digestibility in broiler; 2). to determine the impact of sea sand on the health of the digestive tract of broilers. The research was conducted during the first maintenance period (2 months) from September 11 until October 22, 2015, location of research conducted in broiler coop lecturer Extension Livestock Agricultural High School Manokwari, Manokwari STPP Complex, SPMA road Reremi Manokwari. This study was an experimental, the design of the study is a single factor with the addition of sea sand cattle feed, single factor in this research was the sea sand with different percentages comprised 5 treatments namely: p0 = without the addition of sea sand, p1 = addition of sea sand with a concentration of 100: 1 (100% total feed demand, added 1% sand sea ofthe total feed requirement), p2 = addition of sea sand with a concentration of 100: 2 (100% total feed requirement, added 2% sand sea of the total feed requirements) , p3 = addition of sea sand with a concentration of 100: 3 (100% total feed requirement, added 3% sand sea of the total feed requirement), p4 = addition of sea sand with a concentration of 100: 4 (100% total feed requirement, added 4% sand of the total feed requirements). The results showed that the addition of sea sand in the feed of broilers can improve the quality of the digestibility of feed to broilers (Gallus sp.) The addition of sea sand in the feed of broilers increase body weight gain, feed conversion and mortality in broilers, reduces mortality in broiler, The addition of sea sand in broiler feed of the best in the feed of 2% at treatment p2.

Abstract

The Study On Compost And Phosphate Solvent Biological Fertilizer Dose On Corn And Sesame Multiple Cropping In Playen Sub District Gunung Kidul was performed in order to know the influence of phosphate solvent biological fertilizer, compost and the combination to the results of corn and sesame multiple cropping on dry vertisol soil in Bandung village, Playen sub district, Gunung Kidul held April 1 to October 31, 2015. The research design used a factorial arranged in a randomized complete block, comprising two factors the dose of compost with the levels of 5 tons/ha, 10 tons/ha, 15 tons/ha, 20 tons/ha and phosphate solvent biological fertilizer levels 0.0 g/plant, 0.5 g/plant, 1.0 g/plant, 1.5 g/plant repeated 3 times for each treatment. Aplication of compost was done in conjunction with tillage while phosphate solvent biological fertilizer was applied at the time of planting. The study reseults showed that introducing 20 tons/ha compost can increase the production of sesame 129.25 percent compared to the treatment of 5 tons/ha compost and the provision of phosphate solvent biological solvent fertilizer of 1.5 g biomass/plant increased the production of sesame by 68.43 percent. The giving a combination of 20 tons/ha compost and phosphate solvent biological fertilizers of 1.5 g biomass the crop production of sesame increased by 195.56 percent but production of maize dropped.

Abstract

Lemongrass plant is an herb that is relatively common planted in the yard. Lemongrass plant has more than one species, one of which is citronella (Cymbopogon sp.). Plant citronella essential oil is cultivated to take because it has a fairly high economic value. Price per kg to Rp. 150.000, - used as raw materials of perfumes and medicines. Citronella plant production in the period of five years (2009 - 2013) continued to increase, from 1700 tonnes / ha to 2,600 tonnes / ha. While citronella plant acreage has declined in the last five years (2009 - 2013) is from 20,000 ha to 19,000 ha. In the province of West Papua, until now there is no comprehensive data on production and planting area citronella (CBS, 2014). Experimental design used was RAKL (Random Group Complete). Abstract

The study was conducted at the Japan District of Magelang regency Tegalrejo time execution of activities in April through June 2016, with the objective to be achieved is to know the level and the factors - factors that influence changes in the behavior of farmers. Samples were taken census of members of Farmers Group "Source Rezeki", extension materials nematodiasis treatment and prevention, data collection method of observation and interviews. The rate of change is measured by the variable behavior of farmers Knowledge, Attitude, Skills (KAS). Extension method used is the method of approach to groups and individuals, through verbal counseling techniques (lectures, discussions) and demcar, projected through folders and materials (power point) as the media. Counseling was done 2 times. The rate of change of behavior analysis is comparative descriptive analysis and the factors that influence the rate of change in behavior analysis with regression analysis. Espionage was carried out resulted in the rate of change of behavior from very low (26.67) be enough (63.87). Results of regression test Anova with 0,000 α significance (P ≤ 0.01), this means that the influence of age, education, experience breeding, the number of livestock ownership and ownership of livestock together - the same very significant influence on the behavior of farmers towards the treatment and prevention of diseases nematodiasis worms. The rate of change the behavior of farmers towards the prevention and treatment of diseases of worms in goats / sheep sangt increase of the rate of change is low (26.67) be enough (65.87). Factors that very significant influence on behavior change with significant value 0,000, α (P ≤ 0.01) were age and education, while simultaneously - just the experience factor raising the number of livestock, and ownership status is not very significant influence on behavior change.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to describe the dynamics of the target farmer groups Special Effort program (Upsus) to increase rice production in the area of rice production centers in the district of Manokwari. The benefits of this research are expected to provide information to stakeholders in order to develop and development of farmer groups as targets of the program of activities. The study lasted for two months, starting from November to December 2015. The research was conducted in the village of Prafi Mulya, District Prafi, Manokwari regency, with the method of data analysis done tabulation and descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the dynamics of farmer groups included in the category of Medium or quite dynamic, and Upsus program to increase rice production in 2015 has contributed to pushing the process dynamics in the group.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the cattle frozen semen motility lemousin on temperature and duration of different thawing in Prafi SP I Manokwari District. The method of analysis is a preliminary stage and the stage of implementation. Design of Experiments Experiments were used in this study is 3 x 3 factorial experiment with a completely randomized design basis (RAL). A factor that is thawing temperature 5 0C, 27 0C and 40 0C and factor B long thawing, 5 minutes, 30 minutes and 60 minutes with 3 x replications. The data were processed by analysis of variance procedure and if there is a real difference followed by Duncan's multiple range test. The results showed that the temperature penetitian 5 0C with 5 minutes is the most excellent and worthy for artificial insemination. The benefits of this research is to provide information about the implementation of thawing in accordance with the conditions on the ground, so it can be used as consideration improve the management of the IB program and the achievement of success.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pakan lengkap fermentasi terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian sapi dan efisiensi usaha tani. Delapan belas ekor sapi Bali jantan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Rerata bobot badan awal sapi 175,5 + 43,4 kg. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua faktor perlakuan, yaitu: jenis pakan dan bobot badan. Faktor jenis pakan terdiri dari tiga perlakuan, yaitu: PI (pakan sesuai kebiasaan petani), PII (pakan lengkap tanpa starter), dan PIII (pakan lengkap dengan starter). Faktor bobot badan terdiri dari dua perlakuan, yaitu: BI (bobot badan antara100 – 175 kg) dan BII (bobot badan antara 175< - 250 kg), sehingga penelitian ini terdiri dari enam kombinasi perlakuan dengan tiga ulangan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tahun 2013 di kandang milik Koperasi Mulya Jaya, Dusun I, Desa Lubuk Lancang, Kecamatan Suak Tapeh, Kabupaten Banyuasin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertambahan bobot badan harian perlakuan PI (0,58 kg/hari), PII (0,44 kg/hari), dan PIII (0,52 kg/hari) berbeda tidak nyata (P<0,05). Sementara itu hasil analisa usaha tani perlakuan PIII (B/C 1,22) lebih menguntungkan dibanding perlakuan PI (B/C 1,15) dan PII (B/C 1,19), demikian pula perlakuan PII (B/C 1,19) lebih menguntungkan dibanding perlakuan P1 (B/C 1,15). Penggunaan pakan lengkap fermentasi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi usaha tani.
