Abstract

Tourism has long been recognized as an economic sector that can have a significant positive impact on economic and social development at the global level. The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) notes that the global tourism sector has experienced a significant increase from year to year, contributing to national income and job creation. Tourism is an important sector that supports economic and social development, both globally, nationally and locally. In Indonesia, especially the Bangka Belitung Islands, this sector has great potential to support the creative economy and sustainable development. To maximize this potential, innovation is needed through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, especially in developing tourist destination recommendation systems. This research aims to develop an AI-based tourism system in Bangka Belitung by utilizing recommendation system technology and deep learning. This system is designed to provide a more personalized and relevant tourism experience for users by integrating tourism data and tourist habits. The research method used involves developing an AI model using a machine learning approach, which combines content-based and collaborative recommendations. It is hoped that the results of this research can produce a Flutter-based Android application that provides accurate tourist destination recommendations, improves service quality, and supports sustainable creative economic growth in Bangka Belitung. This research contributes to the application of AI technology in the tourism sector which can improve tourist experiences and support sustainable development.

Abstract

Environmental issues at the global and national levels are becoming important issues in efforts to keep the earth better. Unsustainable waste management results in pollution, ecosystem damage, and climate change are ongoing environmental problems. In Indonesia, unmanaged waste disposal disrupts the ecosystem and pollutes the environment. Open burning of waste emits toxic gases that are harmful to public health. The accumulation of plastic waste that is harmful to the environment is caused by excessive use of plastic waste and the lack of an efficient recycling system. To solve this problem, a broad approach is needed that includes policy changes, infrastructure financing, community education, and encouraging recycling practices. The Interactive Waste Sorting Program is a web-based learning tool designed to help elementary school students understand the types of waste and how to manage it. With interactive features such as images, sounds, songs, and evaluations, this game encourages learning. Research shows that Interactive Program-based learning increases student interest. The use of this application is expected to support resource conservation education, increase environmental awareness, and change the way students manage waste. The development of this Interactive Program application uses the waterfall method, which consists of the stages of requirements, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance. As a result, this Interactive Program allows students to play independently and help teachers deliver lessons. Overall, the development of this learning media is expected to encourage further innovation in information and communication technology-based education.

Abstract

Technology has changed many aspects of life, including economics, politics, government, and communication, which have an impact on people's lifestyles and views. One of these changes is the emergence of streaming services such as Netflix, which allows users to watch various shows and movies by subscribing. This study aims to measure Netflix user satisfaction using the End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method. The EUCS method is used to compare user expectations and reality towards information systems. This study involved 50 respondents from various age groups and professions: 5 people aged 17–20 years, 38 aged 21–29, 6 aged 30–39, and 1 aged 40–49. In terms of occupation, there were 14 students, 3 housewives, 3 entrepreneurs, 25 employees, and 5 others. The majority of respondents have an income of 3–5 million rupiah. The results of the study showed that more than 80% of respondents stated "strongly agree" in all aspects, this can be seen in the results in the form of: the results of the content component which contains two questions in which respondents choose to feel satisfied, for the results of the accuracy component which contains two questions in which respondents choose to feel satisfied, the Display component (Format) which contains two questions in which respondents choose to feel satisfied, the results of the respondents' choices for the Ease of Use component which contains two questions in which respondents choose to feel satisfied, the Timeliness component which contains two questions in which respondents choose to feel satisfied reflects high satisfaction with Netflix.

Abstract

Violence against women and children is a violation of human rights that occurs across various layers of society, with a significant increase in Indonesia. Data shows that the number of cases of violence against women and children in East Jakarta reached 302 cases in the first six months of 2024. RT.001 RW.005 in the Dukuh Kramat Jati area is one of the areas facing this issue. In this context, incidents of violence are often not addressed or reported swiftly, leading to victims not receiving the protection they deserve. This study aims to design the "Report Violence Against Women and Children" application using the waterfall method, which is expected to make it easier for residents to report cases of violence directly to the RT and RW administrators. Through needs analysis and data collection, this application will provide an efficient solution for report administration. The benefits of this study are not limited to theoretical aspects but also practical ones, with the hope of increasing public awareness and accelerating the handling of violence cases. The outcome of this study is expected to be an application documentation that can be published and copyrighted, thus being accessible to the wider public. This research underscores the importance of information technology in addressing critical social issues, such as violence against women and children, and contributes to the development of a more responsive and effective reporting application.

Abstract

In the digital era and industry 4.0 like today, human resource management (HR) is important for schools. One important aspect in human resource management (HR) in a school is employee attendance. Currently, for employee attendance at SMA Santika East Jakarta, the fingerprint attendance system is still used, which has shortcomings, such as the possibility of misuse of number codes that can lead to falsification of attendance. This study aims to develop an attendance application based on the Geographic Information System (GIS) at SMA Santika East Jakarta to improve the accuracy and reliability of the employee attendance system. In the context of the digital era and industry 4.0, proper employee attendance management is crucial, especially when employees work outside the office. To overcome this problem, this study designs a GIS-based attendance application that is able to track employee locations in real-time when taking attendance, both in the school environment and outside the school. The research methodology involves observation, interviews, and literature studies to obtain relevant data. The development model used is a prototype, which includes needs analysis, design, code development, testing, and system support. The application is developed using the React Native framework and TypeScript programming language, and is integrated with the Odoo system via REST API. With this application, it is hoped that SMA Santika East Jakarta can reduce the risk of attendance falsification and improve human resource management, as well as increase operational efficiency and accuracy of employee attendance data.

Abstract

Basically, a company engaged in manufacturing requires adequate warehouse inventory management to support every job done, especially when the work is still done manually. Every item that comes out of stock is recorded on a card, then later monitored whether it matches the records on the card with the inventory in the warehouse. The purpose of this study is to design a web-based information system as a solution to problems arising from manual data processing. The data collection method used by the author is a literature study and field study. Data collection that covers all goods to fulfill each business process is still done manually which causes many errors or discrepancies between the available data and the existing goods. Another obstacle, because the data collection is still done manually, causes the re-data collection process on existing data to take time, because the search for the required data must be searched for one by one. This study identifies in detail the deficiencies that occur in the warehouse storage management process starting from the mismatch between the recorded stock of goods and the physical stock of goods, the data search process is also hampered and inefficient and tends to be time consuming because the data is searched manually, and there is inaccuracy in the reporting of warehouse goods so that it disrupts the work process. With the Design of this Warehouse Information System, it is expected to be a Solution to the existing problems.

Abstract

Today's technological knowledge has experienced a lot of progress, including in robotic technology. Of course, this field is becoming more interesting to study, seeing its increasingly widespread use in various aspects of human life that are increasingly automated. Real-life automation in machine representation is a value in itself from the implementation of a robot. Along with the development of the era, the world of information technology is currently developing very rapidly. In line with the rapid development of information technology, the need for time efficiency is a very important issue today. One of them is finding the shortest path from the original location to the destination location. In achieving optimal time efficiency, good management is needed by applying directed concepts and increasingly modern and sophisticated technology. Information media is very much needed in a computerized way to make it easier for fire extinguishing robots to find the location of fire points. The use of the Dijkstra Algorithm in the Nearest Route Search Application was chosen to be applied to the fire extinguishing robot application, to solve problems step by step in finding the nearest route. The theory used in this study uses Graph theory, Dijkstra's Algorithm. The purpose of this study is to find out how fire extinguishing robots find the shortest route and how the Dijkstra algorithm method can be used to find the location of the fire source with the shortest route.

Abstract

Heart disease remains a leading cause of mortality worldwide, necessitating the development of accurate predictive models for early diagnosis and intervention. This study investigates the effectiveness of ensemble learning approaches, particularly Voting and Stacking classifiers, in comparison to traditional machine learning models and deep learning architectures. Using a dataset containing clinical and diagnostic attributes, preprocessing steps such as label encoding and standardization were applied to ensure compatibility with machine learning models. The ensemble classifiers were constructed using base learners, including Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and XGBoost, with soft voting aggregation and logistic regression meta-learning for the Stacking approach. The models were evaluated using stratified ten-fold cross-validation based on precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC. The results indicate that the Voting classifier achieved the highest overall F1-score (0.8882) and ROC-AUC (0.8697), surpassing the Stacking classifier. Additionally, ensemble models demonstrated competitive performance compared to deep learning architectures, with Random Forest and Gradient Boosting achieving the highest ROC-AUC scores of 0.9313 and 0.9279, respectively. The findings suggest that ensemble methods provide an effective, interpretable, and computationally efficient alternative to deep learning for heart disease prediction. This study highlights the potential of ensemble learning in medical applications and provides valuable insights into optimizing classification models for structured tabular healthcare datasets.

Abstract

Obesity has become one of the most pressing global health challenges of the 21st century, with its prevalence increasing at an alarming rate. Obesity is a major global health concern, contributing to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders. Traditional assessment methods, such as BMI-based classification, often fail to incorporate lifestyle and behavioral factors, limiting their predictive capabilities. This study explores the use of machine learning for obesity classification based on self-reported survey data collected from individuals in Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. The dataset comprises 2111 instances with 17 attributes, covering demographic characteristics, eating habits, and physical activity levels. Eight machine learning models, including Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree, K-Nearest Neighbors, Naïve Bayes, and AdaBoost, were evaluated using 10-fold cross-validation. Results indicate that Gradient Boosting achieved the highest accuracy of 96.49%, followed by Random Forest and SVM, demonstrating the effectiveness of ensemble learning techniques in capturing complex feature interactions. In contrast, Naïve Bayes and AdaBoost exhibited the lowest classification performance due to their strong assumptions about feature independence and sensitivity to noisy data. The findings highlight the potential of machine learning in obesity classification and underscore the need for advanced predictive models to enhance public health monitoring and intervention strategies.

Abstract

Every new school year, the school always accepts new students. Based on the rules in effect at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang, grade X students are directed to choose an existing major. SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang has 2 majors, namely the science major and the social science major. Students are expected to be able to identify their interests, talents and abilities so that they do not make mistakes in choosing a major. The problem that occurs in the process of choosing a major is the difficulty in determining the student's major interests which results in a mismatch between the results of determining the major and the student's interests, talents and abilities. The choice of major in high school will affect whether they will continue to college or their future career. Many new students are still confused about choosing a major at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. Therefore, a system is needed, and this decision-making system (DSS) is a software to solve this problem because this information system can present the best major selection for students who will register using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. The methodology used in developing this system is Rapid Application Development (RAD), an incremental software development process, especially for short processing times. RAD is a software process model that emphasizes short development life cycles, and rapid adaptation using component construction.
