Abstract

The number of character problems experienced by Indonesia strengthens the urgency of planting and implementing character education. One of the necessary character plantings is the character of discipline. This study analyzes the impact of teaching student discipline characters through school rules. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques used in this research using observation, interviews, and documentation. Sources of data in this study came from the principal, 5th-grade teaching teachers, and students. The study results indicate that the cultivation of disciplinary character is carried out through school rules in the early stages, namely the preparation of planning and development of disciplinary characters. Facilities and infrastructure provided can also support the inculcation of students' disciplined characters. In addition, teachers and principals also always provide concrete examples of the behavior of disciplined characters. In teaching the character of discipline, of course, there are obstacles and obstacles. However, the principal and teachers communicate and work together with the students' parents to overcome the obstacles. This research implies that it can explain the impact of planting student discipline characters through school rules to contribute to student and school achievement.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan hal penting yang perlu diperhatikan oleh setiap guru di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu media untuk mengajarkan pendidikan karakter kepada siswa. Penelitian ini terutama membahas tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang dimiliki oleh Katniss Everdeen, tokoh utama dalam novel berjudul “The Hunger Games” karya Suzanne Collins yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dari kementerian pendidikan dan kebudayaan. Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dari penokohan Katniss, ia memiliki 24 karakter yang membangun dirinya sebagai tokoh utama dalam novel tersebut. Dari 24 karakter tersebut, 22 di antaranya merupakan sub nilai nilai pendidikan karakter Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (2017) yaitu Cinta Damai, Toleransi, Ikhlas, Tidak memaksakan kehendak sendiri, Cinta lingkungan, Unggul, Patriotisme, Taat hukum, Disiplin, Pekerja Keras, Ketangguhan Mental, Tegas, Kreatif, Berani, Kooperatif, Demokratis, Peduli, Sukarela, Jujur, Setia, Adil, dan Bertanggung Jawab. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dari kementerian pendidikan dan kebudayaan tercermin dalam karakterisasi Katniss. Hal ini membuat karakterisasi Katniss dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk mengajarkan nilai pendidikan karakter kepada siswa.

Abstract

Dampak negatif dari perkembangan teknologi adalah kemerosotan moral/degradasi moral. Degradasi moral dari pengaruh internet sangat memungkinkan karena pintu akses konten internet tanpa batasan usia membuat dampak negatif bagi anak-anak. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah menganalisis moral tokoh utama yang mengalami degradasi pada novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu Karya Tere-Liye. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan metode/pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Rembulan Tenggelam di Wajahmu Karya Tere-Liye. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu, dengan studi dokumen teknik ini dilakukan dengan cara membaca dan mencacat. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis isi (content analyses). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi melalui tahap pengumpulan data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan sebagai tahap akhir dalam penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa, terdapat 6 bentuk degradasi moral tokoh utama dan 3 bentuk faktor penyebab degradasi moral dalam novel yaitu, faktor lingkungan keluarga (gangguan emosional), keadaan ekonomi (gangguan berfikir), dan sekolah.

Abstract

Optimism is an attitude or pattern of positive thinking towards a problem or problem with strong self-defense so that self-confidence grows. This optimistic mindset tends to be less owned by someone for several reasons: lack of human resources, which makes a person not confident in making a decision. This study describes the aspects and functions of the character's optimism in Andrea Hirata's Orang-Orang Biasa novel. The approach used in this analysis uses literature psychology theory, which focuses on the optimism aspect proposed by Goleman. The type of research used is qualitative research with the data source is the novel Orang-Ordinary by Andrea Hirata. The data collection method used a documentation study, namely by reading extensively and repeatedly to get the content by the desired study. The analysis technique is by reducing the data or selecting the data, presenting the data in quotations, and drawing conclusions as the final stage of the research. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the optimism aspect in Andrea Hirata's Orang-Orang Biasa novel is shown in various values, namely (1) having high expectations, (2) not being easily discouraged, (3) being able to motivate oneself, high self-confidence and ( 4) not being resigned while the function of optimism in the novel is (1) as a means of motivation to strengthen oneself, (2) as part of a form of self-defense to overcome life's problems and (3) optimism as a support system.

Abstract

Banyak orang yang mulai melupakan nilai-nilai budaya bangsanya, perilaku dan gaya hidup yang tidak berpedoman pada adat ketimuran, dan semakin lunturnya budi pekerti dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur dan nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam film animasi Diva The Series karya Kastari Animation. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan analisis struktur yang dikemukakan oleh Stanton. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik dokumentasi yang bersumber pada data yang valid untuk kemudian dianalisis menggunakan kartu data. Hasil penelitian dalam film Diva The Series memuat 5 struktur cerita yang meliputi alur, penokohan, latar, tema, amanat dan 5 nilai karakter yakni karakter religius dalam episode “Pergi Tadarus”, karakter nasionalisme dalam episode “Hari Kartini”, karakter kemandirian dalam episode “Belajar Jualan”, karakter gotong royong dalam episode “Masjid dan Pemuda Punk”, dan karakter integritas dalam episode “Jujur Itu Keren”. Implikasi penelitiannya diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi para penontonnya khususnya anak-anak.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan elemen yang penting bagi siswa, khususnya anak-anak di sekolah dasar. Pendidikan karakter diharapkan mampu menumbuhkan karakter siswa sesuai dengan ideologi bangsa. Melalui bacaan-bacaan yang telah tersusun dalam buku pembeajaran, anak-anak mempelajari nilai-nilai karakter yang ada. Tetapi tidak menutup kemungkinan anak-anak mempelajari nilai karakter dari sekitar mereka, baik secara mandiri maupun melalui bimbingan guru dan orang tua. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam kumpulan cerita Raja Gembul karya Soesilo Toer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dari sembilan belas cerita yang telah dianalisis, terdapat delapan belas nilai karakter dalam buku kumpulan cerita Raja Gembul karya Soesilo Toer. Nilai-nilai karakter yang dianalisis dalam buku ini sesuai dengan Pedoman Pendidikan Budaya dan Karakter Bangsa (2010) yang disusun oleh Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan, bersumber dari agama, Pancasila, kebudayaan, dan pendidikan nasional.

Abstract

Many children still do not understand moral behavior, such as the importance of saying thank you and being willing to forgive each other if they make mistakes. Thus, the moral development of children has not developed optimally. This study aims to produce Big Book media to improve children's moral behavior. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of analysis (analyze), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation), and evaluation (evaluation). In this research, only up to the development stage. The validation of the Big Book media instrument was carried out by three experts, namely material experts and media experts. This study collected data using a questionnaire method to test the media and materials. This study obtained the Big Book media to improve the moral behavior of early childhood, which was declared valid based on expert tests with the CVR and CVI scores being 1.00. The form of the development of the big book media produced is a medium used to improve the moral behavior of early childhood. PAUD teachers can use this Big Book media to improve children's moral behavior.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu kurangnya sikap disiplin dan tanggung jawab pada peserta didik. Alasan yang mendasari peserta didik banyak yang melakukan pelanggaran adalah mereka tidak paham akan bahayanya tidak menggunakan masker saat pandemi seperti sekarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab pada tembang dolanan “Menthok-Menthok” dan “Gugur Gunung”. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah dan Guru. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah daftar pertanyaan wawancara untuk Kepala Sekolah dan Guru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tembang dolanan “Mnethok-Menthok” dan “Gugur Gunung” banyak mengandung nilai karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab serta terselip nilai karaktergotong royong bagi pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa melalui kearifan local seperti tembang doladan.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning activities are carried out online. Although through online learning, it is hoped that teachers will still teach character education, considering the importance of character education for the younger generation. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of character education through online learning during the pandemic in elementary school. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The subject of the study was the fifth-grade elementary school teacher. The results show that the character education provided by the teacher through the Zoom application is that the teacher familiarizes students with praying and greeting before and after learning begins, the teacher familiarizes students with wearing neat and polite clothes. The teacher gives advice that can foster positive character for students. The teacher provides character education through the WhatsApp application. The teacher sends quotes with character values regularly, familiarizes students with using polite language when sending messages or assigning assignments in groups, and sends videos or video links about character education to students. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that fifth-grade teachers have implemented character education through online learning by utilizing internet-connected applications, namely Zoom and WhatsApp applications.

Abstract

The distance learning process carried out by teachers and students is a challenge, especially related to learning motivation and student learning discipline. This study analyzes strengthening learning to improve student learning discipline during the pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research procedure uses Miles and Huberman. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out using Atlas.ti software version 8. The results of this study indicate the importance of student response, strengthening parents' motivation, and student learning focus. Some of the research results related to three important focuses: strategies to improve learning, respond to improvements, and distance learning. Based on the study results, it can be seen that children in the distance learning process very much need parents during a pandemic like now. Parents must also be able to discipline their children during learning activities. To discipline children, parents encourage children to be more enthusiastic in learning. Reinforcement provided by parents is to strengthen verbally and some are in the form of nonverbal.
