Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who were taught with the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model better than those taught with the direct learning model. The next objective is to analyze the ability to improve understanding of mathematical concepts taught with the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model for derived material. This research is quantitative research with quasi-experimental design. The nonequivalent control group design was used as a form of quasi-experimental, by comparing two samples of 44 students from class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Magelang who were randomly selected. From the Independent Sample t-Test test it produces a value of  then  is rejected and  is accepted which means the ability to understand mathematical concepts taught with the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model is better than the direct learning model. Then, the average N-Gain test was 0.38 and proved that there was an increase taught by the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model for derivative material in the medium category. From the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts taught by the Google Site-assisted CMP learning model is better than the direct learning model for derivative material, and there is an increase in the moderate category.

Abstract

Airin Bakery & Cake Shop produces various kinds of cakes and bread. This shop is often faced with problems that occur, namely the supply of raw materials that are insufficient or excess so that the production process does not go well. This study aims to determine the ordering capacity and the right time to order raw materials to minimize the total cost of raw material inventory using the silver meal method. The total inventory cost is Rp. 14,637,947.4 less than the cost set by the company. Inventory control, which is a stochastic process, can also be carried out without regard to safety stock, lead time, and reorder points. The stochastic process of total inventory can be described by a finite number of states. The probability of transitions between these states is described by a markov chain. The markov chain method can predict future raw material inventory costs. After making several states on the amount of raw material inventory, a prediction of the future raw material inventory costs of Rp.31.747.932,98 is obtained

Abstract

This research was motivated by the tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 8 Pandeglang who lost their self-efficacy and lack of ability to understand mathematical concepts in mathematics. The purpose of this study is to determine the activities and learning processes using the peer teaching method, as well as to find out how much effective the peer teaching method is on self-efficacy and understanding of mathematical concepts for class X students at SMA Negeri 8 Pandeglang. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, students' mathematical concept understanding ability tests, and interviews, the research design was "one group pretest posttest design". The research instrument used was an observation sheet on learning and student activities in the classroom, self-efficacy questionnaires, interviews with teachers and students, and a concept understanding ability test. The analytical techniques used are observation sheets, questionnaires, teacher and student interviews, and tests of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities. The results of the study stated that the results of the observation sheet on the learning process using the peer teaching method showed an average score of 90.8% with very good criteria, while the results of the student activity observation sheet using the peer teaching method showed an average score of 91.6% with very good criteria. . In addition, the results of the calculation of the student's self-efficacy questionnaire showed an average score of 63.68% with effective criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts showed an average score of 73% with effective criteria. So it can be concluded that student activities and the learning process using the peer teaching method are very good to use. In addition, the peer teaching method is also effectively used in learning activities on self-efficacy and students' ability to understand mathematical concepts

Abstract

The scheduling of odd semester courses for the 2022/2023 Academic Year in the Mathematics and Data Science Department which is intended to avoid conflicts in the lecture implementation process, is prepared by colored dots on the graph. The dots are assumed to be courses while the edges of the graph are given to indicate that two courses cannot be arranged on the same schedule. Coloring with the Welsh-Powell method is carried out after the adjacency matrix which shows the relationship between the subjects is constructed. Class schedules with 8 subject groups (slots) are generated and distributed to each lecture session with a maximum of 5 sessions Monday to Friday. Course schedules with weights of 4 and 3 credits are carried out in 2 sessions each week. The application of the coloring method is done using the C++ program

Abstract

This study aims to predict the movement of Bank Syariah Indonesia shares (BRIS.JK) prices using the Conditional Restricted Boltzmann Machine (CRBM) method. Prediction is needed in conducting share transactions, because the increase or decrease in share price movements is very difficult to predict. The CRBM method is a machine learning algorithm used to model the probability distribution of data associated with variables and inputs. CRBM is a type of Restricted Boltzman Machine (RBM) that consists of two layers, namely the input layer and the hidden layer. CRBM is a type of Boltzmann machine model equipped with a conditioned unit that is used to perform analysis and learning on data that has conditional properties. In this research, the first step is to divide several research scenarios. Then conduct CRBM tests to get prediction results. The data used is daily close data. Based on the research that has been done, it is obtained that the best prediction accuracy is in July - August with MAPE below 5%.

Abstract

This Best Practice aims to determine the effect of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model assisted by interactive PowerPoint integrated with GeoGebra on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The subjects of this study were 32 students in class VIII H of SMP Negeri 4 Salatiga for the 2022/2023 academic year. The design used in this best practice uses the One-Group Pretest-Posttest with data analysis techniques using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Data collection techniques include essay tests, observation of learning implementation, and student response questionnaires. Best Practice results show that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by GeoGebra integrated interactive PowerPoint has an effect on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This can be seen from the results of the Wilcoxon test with a value of Sig.=0.00<0.05 which indicates that there is a difference in the average pretest and posttest results where the mean value after being given the GeoGebra interactive PowerPoint-assisted PBL model is better than the average value before being given this learning model. In addition, the results of learning implementation were 95.59%, and student responses to GeoGebra integrated interactive PowerPoint learning media were 94.14%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the analogy characteristics of elementary school students in proposing word problems. Analogical reasoning is a complex process that involves retrieving structured knowledge from long-term memory, representing and manipulating role-filling ties in working memory, identifying elements that play appropriate roles, generating new conclusions, and learning abstract schemes. The characteristics of analogy are categorized into four: (1) reformulation, rearrangement of information by changing the order of numbers but still paying attention to the order of mathematical operations. (2) reconstruction, Students rearrange information in the initial problem so that the problem appears different but is identical to the initial problem. (3) reproduction, the resulting product creates a new problem that is different by changing the structure of the initial problem. (4) imitation, changing the structure of the given problem by expanding the goal statement so that the initial problem becomes a step of the solution process of the new problem. Students' failure in making problem posing is included in non-reformulation, where students cannot make problem posing on word problems according to the problem structure

Abstract

The Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of heterogeneous students can serve as an indication of differences in academic abilities among them. This condition needs to be minimized to ensure that students' competencies are distributed evenly and maximized. Grouping is an effort that can be undertaken to address the heterogeneity of student's academic abilities. This research aims to classify the academic potential of Civil Engineering students at the Universitas International Batam based on the scores of basic science courses using cluster analysis. The cluster analysis in this research utilizes the Ward method and Euclidean distance to measure the distance between objects. The results of the classification show that the Civil Engineering students at Universitas International Batam 2019 can be divided into three clusters. The first cluster consists of 9 students with the best academic abilities. The second cluster consists of 9 students with fairly good academic abilities. The third cluster consists of 11 students with inadequate academic abilities

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of the application of ethnomathematics-assisted learning media, which is studied based on the type of learning media. This study used the systematic literature review (SLR) method. Articles were searched on the Google Scholar, Sinta, Semantic Scholar, Education Resources Information Center (ERIC), and Directory Open Access Journal (DOAJ) databases from 2017 to 2023. Based on the established inclusion criteria, 25 articles were obtained, which were used as primary studies. Each article was recorded and then classified based on title, school year, education level, and type of media. The results showed that the integration of ethnomathematics-based learning media in mathematics learning had a positive effect on students' mathematics learning. The application of ethnomathematics is more often applied in the stages of junior high school education units. So that learning media is very suitable to be applied based on ethnomathematics to achieve goals, improve students' abilities, and introduce them to the culture that is around them and in Indonesia

Abstract

This Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve learning outcomes in Quadratic Function material using the cooperative learning type TGT (Teams, Games, and Tournament) which assisted by GeoGebra and Quizizz for class X students of SMA N 3 Salatiga. This CAR is carried out in 2 cycles based on the Kemmis and Taggart Theories which consist of 4 stages namely the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 34 students of class X SMA N 3 Salatiga. The data collection technique of this research uses observation and tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in the average value, in the pre-cycle was 77.7; cycle I was 81.6; and cycle II was 83.4. The percentage of classical completeness also shows an increase, students who have scored above KKM (75) in the pre-cycle was 58.06% (18 students), cycle I was 81.82% (27 students), and cycle II was 87.88%. (29 students).
